I only have one jet the Freewing Super Scorpion 80mm EDF runs on 6 S from Motion RC years ago. NIce videos of this jet ! Nose gear down landing was awesome too!
Awesomeness, We used to have it's distant 326 Grandfather fly low an fast over Us when We were Surfing or outside fishing in the early 90s. Unreal show, best in this Gig Richardo.
Great flying Rich !! To just jump in a new aircraft and takeoff...WoW. Great job Jerry 👍🏻 Rich if you took those wing fines off that new E Viper and put on this instead of rose tanks😳Think about it 👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻
I'm curious about this jet. I have a Freewing Avanti 80mm and E-flite FMS Viper 90mm. I like Both very much but wanted something bigger that still has good flight times on electric yet is still about as precise for aerobatics as the two mentioned. My avanti 80mm and Viper Jet 90mm gets from taxi out to taxi in an avg of 7:05 min time (with the timer set to 4:30 above 25%) I was thinking the HSD would get better flight times than what I have seen in videos of 2:30-4min since its pack size has doubled since introduced and the HSD website claims a flying weight of 5kg (11 lb) with 12S Battery. The other plane I was looking at was the Global Aerofoam mb339 105mm. It comes in at 16 lbs yet has similar but slightly better flight time on videos 3:15-4:00. Is the flying weight o the v4 Viper jet way off. Is 11lb actually without battery weight? my 12s 5000 weight 3.65lb I would think the 11lb HSD viper should get much longer flight time compared to the 16lb mb339. I also looked at the Freewing Mig 29 twin 80mm and it gets 6:00 flight time and weighs 9.5lb without 2x6s 5000 but the color scheme is not for me and I don't think it would be as precise or aerobatic as the above two. If the MB339 and HSD viper do have similar flight times do you like the MB339 more. You seemed impressed in the video on how well it flies and its vertical. I'm also at 5500ft so vertical performance is important as well Thanks for the feedback
In short I would DEFINITELY go with Any of the AF model aircraft from #bananahobby having flown both brands for far too many reasons to list but a few of them for example would be the use of servo boxes in the wings etc on the Aerofoam models (HSD used to use them but last time I checked they don’t use them any more). The fit and finish of all of the components especially the wing spars is definitely far superior with the Aerofoam too (the HSD Spars always seemed to have too much clearance-i raised this issue a number of times and again last time i checked nothing had changed, plus aerofoam seem to fit more carbon spars into the various stressed parts such as the vertical and horizontal Stabs for example . Can’t really comment on the freewing Mig 29 but bear in mind it has 1 battery per EDF as opposed to a number of other aircraft on the market of similar design. I Don’t have my super viper any more as I sold it at an event to a guy who saw me flying the Aerofoam L-39 The same day and straightaway sold the viper to someone else so he could buy an aerofoam L-39 himself!. Flight times are very subjective to a number of variables such as the quality of the battery, C rating, Pilots use of the throttle etc so without specifically doing a “maximum time” Flight but it would be unfair of me to label either plane as more efficient, plus you have to remember that normally when flying these aircraft in the video the key thing that tends to get shown is the performance as opposed to endurance. I will say though without any hesitation After a number of years flying and owning HSD Aircraft and now flying Aerofoam, they really are in two different classes when it comes to quality with aerofoam being far superior overall. As for the MB339 it is easily one of the coolest planes they make so far. Hope all this helps, thanks for the feedback :)
Thanks for the nice flight-demo video. I have one of these on the way. Great that you caught the gear issue for us- saved us one of those nose gear up landings, no doubt. If you could comment on battery usage that would be great.
I saw the front Landing nose gear bind up upon retrak to me this is a typical problem from banana Hobbies their quality is not what it should be for the money
Just finished watching the video the nose gear did not go down this is very typical very unpredictable landing gear with banana Hobbies Parts usually don't fit that well I do not recommend this brand
Again, you are spreading false information. This is not a Banana Hobby model, it is a AEROFOAM model that is distributed by Banana Hobby. It functions flawlessly after the mod. Just a small piece of plastic was snagging the wheel. The gear is excellent on this model and the brakes are JP! AEROFOAM is among the BEST EPO models available:)
Did place an order for one of these...moments ago...persuasive video...
So much for "your binding nose gear" at 6:54 🤨
Here is the Fix...check this video out at 34:37 ua-cam.com/video/Wo7yX9dHKv0/v-deo.html
What a gorgeous model, looks way more scale with the Tip tanks on 😍😎
Which one do you prefer to fly between this one and the FMS TigerCat?
They are so different! I would take the F7F anyday:)
Looking sweet RICH. very smooth in air. 👍👍😎👊✌

Just a small piece of plastic was catching the nose wheel... works perfectly now:)
Nice bird and good flying Rich!
Love it Rich !!!
Nice flights Rich. Great presentation for sure!
You have the nicest toys. Well demoed, as usual.
You are not using the brake gyro?
I'm still evaluating it. The L-39 stops straight ahead with stock brakes. I think this one just has a bad brake on the left.
Awesomeness, We used to have it's distant 326 Grandfather fly low an fast over Us when We were Surfing or outside fishing in the early 90s.

Another awesome flight. Keep it up 👍🏾
Niiiice 🔥👍✌️
Rich. Real nice EDF from Banana Hobby. Just needs a little RCINFORMER adjustments and will be good as gold. Jerry did a great job filming you. 👍👍
Such a great flying airframe... They're like big Viperjets... I love my turbine version. 👌

this or the L39 Ill have to pick one..is the L39 everything the same as the mb339 for power setup?also dose the brake come with both at the pnp price?
Mb339 have longer wings and flys better than the L39
Nice video and flight Rich!
She looks like a very docile flyer with no bad habits. Looking forward to getting one.
No way to buy it
They sold out. More coming in August or September.

Great model, 12cell. Great flight Rich. Do you think a break on one wheel was different to the other side forcing you off the runway?
