    None of us are mad about not getting the overpaid FA’s. It’s when we miss out on an absolute position of need, for a guy that goes for 5th, 6th, 7th. Or even worse, signs for a million less. It’s so annoying as a fan when we really need depth.

    Bring in Justin Fields. I've wanted him the last few years. AR and him have many of the same skill sets, and Fields would be good competition for Richardson.

    I don’t believe AR is crazy inaccurate he needs to stay healthy and get the little things right timings and just slowing down everything. Defense needs a revamp and bring in more talent everywhere.

    I’ll regain a semblance of hope if they bring in at least two veteran free agents that carry both solid talent and leadership from recent winning programs. Look at the Washington Commanders as an inspiration b/c Zach Ertz and Bobby Wagner both played big roles in helping turn the team into a surprise contender this past season. For this upcoming offseason, Dre Greenlaw is one of the most ideal targets.

    • @chrisparson4542

      He is another Richardson. As soon as his first read is gone they take off running. Those types of QB's do good in college football but you cannot win in the pros with a QB like that. They need a veteran leader that can progress though his reads and deliver the ball where it needs to go not take off running like a deer in the headlights.

    I started watching football in early 60"s when there was almost zero player movement. You got new talent thru the draft and rarely walk-ons. Drafted QBs were not played for at least a couple years so they could learn under a vet. Position competition took place within the team itself, and it worked fine. Players these days are wired differently. Yes they are faster and bigger, but motivation to play well seems like it's not a given any more.
    I think the Colts should get a vet for AR to compete with---Darnold from Vikings would be a good choice. JJ McCarthy if they keep him. Yes he's another rookie, but there's not a lot to choose from. Don't give me Cousins.

    • @chrisparson4542
      @chrisparson4542 4 дні тому

      Darnold has had 1 good year. He would still be an improvement over AR or bringing in Justin Fields. I wouldn't mind Cousins,Rodgers, or Russ Wilson at this stage because all 3 are improvements to AR and can teach him a thing or two.

    • @clint7210
      @clint7210 4 дні тому

      It's all good to get a vet, but if Steichen is insisted on starting AR cause u know, he says all he needs is reps, which was BS does no good. I like Darnold, but he doesn't fit Steichens offense (and Steichen will not change his strategy for qbs). Fields would be better fit, but his accuracy ain't great either that's y he's on bench. And I'm not sure Steelers gonna let him go, especially if Wilson loses the first round of playoffs. It's a mess and we caused thus by insisting on drafting a project, im not saying he won't be good one day, but we can't rebuild while trying to figure him out either gonna be hard.

    Why is Colts media scared to say it?;
    Anything Richardson is not good. Y’all keep saying “after getting his health corrected he needs a guy that will push him for the starting job”
    Another player playing well can’t do anything for him and his talent. Severely weak narrative.

      He cannot read a defense. You have to read and react fast and as soon as his 1st read is covered he takes off running. He doesn't seem to be able to call audibles to adjust plays either. It seems like a mental thing that this guy lacks to be good.

    I’d honestly say the bigger mistake is not bringing in a younger talent to compete with AR. The biggest mistakes is being stubborn and watching your team fail because of one person and accepting it. I like fields to come in he’s still 25 so young and feel like he’d be a good fit with Steichen plus Ballard liked him during that draft!

This year EVERYBODY not named Jim Irsay wanted that to happen because Ballard was wrong and EVERYBODY else who isn't paid to run the Colts was right and now all the sudden he IS willing to change.

  • @rondesantis8618
    @rondesantis8618 4 дні тому +2

    I want Ballard to make a trade for Tanner McKee. I liked him coming out of Stanford. He's a pocket passer who gets rid of the ball quick, and he's accurate. He's currently Philly's 3rd string QB, and I think he could be had for a day 3 pick. Although not nearly the athlete that Richardson is, he would, legitimately challenge Richardson, and very well beat him out. If not, he'd be a cost-effective, decent back-up. He looked good last week. Even though he only beat the Giants last week, he did it with subs, not starters.

    The sad part is he can draft which a lot of gms can't, but he doesn't shop free agency, and all the guys we draft need vets to mature. This we like our guys wheb they haven't showed up means nothing. They r are all rookies, so it's not like we r locked into big contracts with these guys. We overpay our vets when they haven't shown greatness. AR does need competition, but so do other positions.
