Great video but a small error. Using the POST method doesn't necessarily mean that the data is being saved on the server. It just means that the data being sent is sent in the body of the request rather than in the link like the GET method. The server may or may not choose to save that customer data.

1 of the biggest privacy + security feature is since years iOS default run every app in their containers hence apps cant access any other app's data while in android any app can access any other app's backend files if not encrypted by app itself also that is the reason u will rarely see malwares and virus for iOS compare to Android. Bashing iOS for privacy is like scolding class topper for only scoring perfect 100 even though its alternative are far behind
Important app data is stored in /data/data/AppsPkgName in android and only the app have access of that particular folder other app can't access files from that dir if you don't give it su permission.
The question is not if apple is lying about the privacy claims they do , they question does Apple has more privacy than Android or less Privacy or equal . Because if privacy doesn't exist anywhere then i would want to choose where some amount exist . You should make a comparison video which is unbiased.
If you take an android phone and install a custom os (not the android that came with the manufacturer) then it's much more private than any phone in the world.

Can someone correct me if I'm wrong? What I've always understood by privacy is that they can't store your unique identification details like Name, MAC address of the device being used etc. These things can help to identify an individual very accurately. But for someone using a VPN, the identification might become an issue(as the IP address would change) and the quality of the ads go down since ads are now shown to similar groups. If someone was storing MAC address of a device and using that to pinpoint the user, the ads would always be extremely accurate, right? While I too believe that Apple is just flexing it's marketing team's strength with these schemes, I find the argument of this video a little half baked
There are lot of mistakes in his argument but I will highlight two of them, 1. 2:36 POST requests are used to send data to servers.. the receiving application can use it for authentication and not to store it in db.(so its not necessary that server is storing anything-which is quite common nowadays) 2. 6:12 If there is no way to uniquely identify a person from a group then how would you send an ad ? You just cannot say "jisne bahatura like kiya usko ad dikhao" such references dont work between foreign servers.

The question is not if apple is lying about the privacy claims they do , they question does Apple has more privacy than Android or less Privacy or equal . Because if privacy doesn't exist anywhere then i would want to choose where some amount exist . You should make a comparison video which is unbiased.
If you take an android phone and install a custom os (not the android that came with the manufacturer) then it's much more private than any phone in the world.
@@somethingelse9228 that's what you fail to understand, the people who watch tech videos are not customers of majority of smartphones out their, regular people who are real market don't want to bother to ins custom ROMS , they want out of box solution . Similarly with customisation, I am techie but I initially was into customising my android homescreen and with time I lost interest and I don't bother . Apple provides you what is functional and what people rarely cares about .

What I've always understood by privacy is that they can't store your unique identification details like Name, MAC address of the device being used etc. These things can help to identify an individual very accurately. But for someone using a VPN, the identification might become an issue(as the IP address would change) and the quality of the ads go down since ads are now shown to similar groups. If someone was storing MAC address of a device and using that to pinpoint the user, the ads would always be extremely accurate, right? While I too believe that Apple is just flexing it's marketing team's strength with these schemes, I find the argument of this video a little half baked

There are lot of mistakes in his argument but I will highlight two of them,
1. 2:36 POST requests are used to send data to servers.. the receiving application can use it for authentication and not to store it in db.(so its not necessary that server is storing anything-which is quite common nowadays)
2. 6:12 If there is no way to uniquely identify a person from a group then how would you send an ad ? You just cannot say "jisne bahatura like kiya usko ad dikhao" such references dont work between foreign servers.
