Join us as we explore the magnificent Pinetum Gardens of Cornwall.
In the heart of St Austell Bay, discover Pinetum Gardens, a garden oasis of tranquillity, peace and remarkable scenery. This family-owned garden offers an intimate experience with a personal touch, rarely found today.
Created over the past four decades, this 30-acre garden is home to one of the largest plant collections in the county. Set within stunning parkland, ten individually themed garden rooms host an array of plants. We are also home to some of the county’s most spectacular champion trees.

The gardens were beautiful. Lovely lake as well 😊
Thanks for joining the premiere DL. I'm glad you liked the tour of the gardens.
Does look like a lovely garden to walk around. Very beautiful and well kept. Great share 👍🏻
Thanks, Cara. It was a pleasant day out if a little expensive (if we didn't get in half price. )
Very beautiful place, thanks for sharing and have a nice day 👍🙂
Thanks for watching. Have a great day.
Great gardens to roam, nice seeing the different styles. I liked the look of the Japanese gardens. The pine cones really were very big. So cute seeing the line of geese all following one another 😊
Thanks Yasmin. There was a lot to see. The Japanese garden was pretty good and the lake was great too.
What stunning Gardens, they are vast! Like the Japanese garden wow those cones are huge! Fountains are lovely! 👍❤️ have a great week xx
@GENerationXplorers Cheers, guys, with so many gardens in Cornwall, we just chose to visit ones that weren't too far away. I really liked the Japanese garden and the lake at this one.
Great video my friend! Thaks for sharing! 😍😍👍👍
Thanks for giving it a watch 😀
Excellent tour Andy and thoroughly enjoyed the wander around 👍🏻
Thanks, Andrew. I need to catch up on your latest video.
Well Andy the beginning segment was so Middle Earth-ish I half expected a bunch of hobbits to burst out and kidnap you for a quest! Lovely gardens and you had some beautiful stills, I particularly enjoyed that blue dragonfly.
Thanks Dennis, thankfully I wasn't offered a ring and a trip to a volcano. As I'm only 5ft 7in I'm probably classed as a hobbit anyway. 😀 Yeah those blue damsels are stunning. There were a good few of them but they're so quick. Thanks for watching 🙂.
Hi Andy, what a beautiful location. The lake was gorgeous and it was lovely to see the wildlife inhabiting the area. You took some great pics too. The gardens were very attractive and I especially loved the pond with its fountain. I don't think I've ever seen pine cones that big!! A really enjoyable vlog, thank you ❤😊
Thanks for joining me in the premiere. The gardens were nice, it was good to see some variety. Ironically, there was less wildlife spotted in the other gardens we visited, and they were less manicured.
Plenty inspiration for our new house Andy - it’s a new build and the garden is a blank canvas. The goth grasses are Ophiopogon Nigrescens I think as we had some in our last garden. Always enjoy a garden tour when we’re away so this was a grand watch - all the best 👍🏻
I think if I had an unlimited budget for a new garden, it would be a Japanese inspired garden with a koi pond. Thanks for watching Andrew. Looking forward to seeing more of your travels.
Enjoyed watching Andy. Even we haven’t been to Pai nee tum gardens. Looked a fair old distance walk round. Huge pine cones. Deffo way too expensive without the voucher. No way we would pay that.
Like the reference to my duck joke. 😂.
Good stuff. Have a good week and we will catch you again soon. 👍🏻🚶🏻♂️🚶♀️
I think we got our steps in that day, Watto. There was supposed to be a link to your channel at the duck doo moment, but the premiere seemed to throw it out of sequence. Have a good week, too. I hope you're over your chest infection now.
Hi Andy,
Beautiful nature walk that you made us so interesting to look into.
Your documentation is not only friendly, but also inviting and warm welcome.
Bravo!
My comments will be short, boring, and vague for a while due to the conflict with yt gets worse.
Thanks for watching Ms Kayak. Any comment, long or short is always appreciated. I'm pleased you enjoyed my garden tour.
You found another gem! More steps, as well - you must have been knackered after your holiday. I really liked the look of the Pinetum. Keith
@theoldunsshot1005 Thanks, Keith, there are so many gardens in Cornwall to visit, we don't often visit gardens when at home, but when in Rome! We do, however, like to wander when we go on holiday. We're not ones to sit on a beach all day. Cheers for watching.
Beautiful gardens. Love watching your reviews. 😍❤ Looks like you had a great day 😊
Thanks, Matt and Becs. I'm not sure garden reviews are that popular on this channel, but we enjoyed the wander round and thought I'd share it.
Really nice gardens Andy, went there a few years ago but couldn't really take it all in as it p****d down all day but beautiful nevertheless, we are blessed in Nottinghamshire with some fantastic gardens right on our doorstep, Rufford Park, Clumber Park, Newstead Abbey( home of Byron) & Sherwood Forest pines to name but a few & with Derbyshire right on our doorstep we are never far away from natural beauty
Thanks for watching Andy. I think we got all the wet weather for the week on the day we visited Polperro 😁. There are some fantastic parts of the UK worth visiting. It's interesting that you mentioned Byron as, of course, he resided up here in Seaham for a while.
Yes correct Andy he did, I've read a bit about Byron & he was a bit of a lad, no wonder he died so young lol 👍
That is actually a lovely little escape!! What a beauty of a day you had to enjoy it too! One would not want to be sleeping under that pine tree...there might be a rather rude awakening if one of them cones decided to drop! Wow!! All looks quite immaculately kept. Being local here, it seems that all these sorts of places are being priced in such a way to make a good profit from tourists...which is a shame, for they are great places to just sit and relax and maybe even enjoy a picnic.
Thanks for watching Bruce. Indeed, very well kept gardens with some unique specimens, especially in the pinetum. We found Cornwall on the whole to be quite expensive. It has been mentioned this year that tourist numbers are down in the county, and I can understand when the cost of living has been high in recent years. People simply can't afford to spend freely. Have a great week with Otis in Lower Sackville.
That was great Andy. What a stunning place (after that that blooming bike/car spoils the tranquility). Some lovely photos there mate 👌❤️
@PhilipOlsen11 Thanks, Phil. It was the little fz82 on camera duty that day. It's a little bit on the noisy side sometimes, but the zoom is handy for wildlife.
@@OutandaboutwithAndy well I thought it performed great. Does well for what it is 👌
@PhilipOlsen11 I've had it 5 years now, it just keeps on going. Doing well for a £250 camera.
Two seats please. 🎫
Seats reserved 😉
Cool looking garden's to wander around nice maintained trees plant's. Nice pine 🌲 trees huge pine cones . Thanks for sharing with us Andy 😊 👍
Thanks for watching Adzey. It was a fair sized place and more varieties of Pine trees than you could shake a pine cone at 😀
