I’m so glad I finally found this song, I remember when I was young my mom would play this song in the car while driving me to school and others places. It was so soothing while being catchy enough to get me to dance to it a bit.
I miss my skating rink days too, mine were in the 70s, me and my best friend was there every weekend, and oh my God, we loved when they had all night skating, yes those were the best of days, best of music, best of everything for me ✌️
I use to live near a burger joint drive in the 70's. The place would close around 2a.m. on weekends with the highschool kids playing songs on the jukebox. They had two large loudspeakers at the drivein to call out your order when your food was ready to pick up. Inbetween those orders you would hear the jukebox tunes the school kids would play over those loud speakers. Heart of Glass and I was made for loving you use to play all the time till those early morning hours. No neighbors ever complained. Times were different back then. I was 11 years old,use to lay in bed, window open, nice night breeze going, with Heart of glass playing😄 Everyone was happy, times were better, the music was always so damn good. I hear this song now and it makes me go back to those days❤️
@@jaredmccardle . Really? I'm not trying to start an argument , just curious to know the real lyrics . It's been 30-40 years now that my "shower lyrics" have taken precedence over actually learning the real lyrics . I really like this song . LOVE Her voice , instrumental and beat are great as well.
There are so many fond memories of my mom driving me to my grandma's in her Ford Escort, and she would play blondie on the radio. Oh, how i miss those fun memories and how I'd love to relive them. Especially now since my moms gone. 😢 ill always treasure those good memories with you.
The other day I heard a lady blasting this in her car and I knew the song but I didn't know it's name. I looked up the only lyrics I could understand: "..had a heart of glass..." And I found it yay. I love this song lmao.
OMG I FINALLY FOUND THIS SONGGGG!!!! It was in the radio and i fell in love with this song! I remember me trying to guess the lyrics so i could search it up on UA-cam.. Thank god i finally found it 😍
Growing up in the 90s mom would take me to hair salons and it smelled nostalgic of hair products lots of spray haha and this music blaring ah what a time to be alive
Harry was an amazing woman. Her life was a jumble going from a playboy model to writing playing and singing so many of her songs. Look up her bio on wiki and will be surprised!
My parents were the ones who showed all the old music for when they were younger and this was one of the songs I am reading a story rn and there were the lyrics to this song and I was like I have to listen to this song so here I am listening to it on repeat I love dis song
I think I'm wrong. I think it REALLY WAS ” mucho mistrust” and that's why Debbie often changed out of it when she sang it live. Too bad she didn't think to change it to ” Once you mistrust”, which would've been very smooth & so subtle people would likely have never been wise to it.
i was in brisbane in australia once and it was 3:32AM and someone next door was blasting this. idk if it was meant to be scary but that happened. note it was tuesday morning 3:30-3:35AM

Don't know why this song triggers flashbacks to a life that wasn't mine 😂. Flashbacks of walking around in a nightclub, knowing I drank too much but feeling cool after hitting some bumps in the restroom
bro why I found this song was because my parents would turn on rock n roll on friday nights and hangout with others and me and my friends playing some minecraft together

Aww this song really brings back my childhood memories of going roller skating. The best years ever!!!!

Same even though I’m still a kid it this still brings back memories 🥹😍😍
I'm 57 and I remember listening to this when I was in 7th grade.
I can totally understand why this song would give a hit of nostalgia.
It’s got that feeling to it.

Ty for sharing that I could rlly imagine that in my mind all of those happy things😁
This song was mades in 1980 and your talking about the 70s?
Beautifully written. You brought me back to a time period I wasn't even born in. Childhood is special, no matter the era or time period. Cheers.
@@PrincessKaren Quick google search - looks like it came out early 1979. So still possible the original writer heard it over the jukebox.
This song needed a lyric video for so long
❤️🌹
I've heard this song for more than 40 years, but had not seen/heard most of these words.
It's not accurate.

My dad played this song for us when we were little and it's stuck in our heads
This song is deceptively peppy and upbeat. The lyrics make this song one of the saddest I've ever heard.

" pain in the ass " or "Heart of Glass" ?
the last part of the song would have been 🎶once I had love and it was a gas soon turned out big pain in the ass🎶
OMG!! I just heard the radio version and they kept the “pain in the ass” part!! 😂😂
TRUEEEE. IN MY SPOTIFY PLAYLIST, MY VERSION SAYS "IT COULD BE A PAIN IN THE AZZ"
