Hey everyone, I now have a new UA-cam channel dedicated to car guides so please come over and show your support - ua-cam.com/channels/zlEuw17uBDs5HO1Wxb1yZg.html
Great video - straight to the point unlike all the American videos that talk for the first five minutes and advertise their products for the rest. This is the exact same process on a MK5 Jetta too.
Much easier than the other videos which tell you to remove the wing mirror cap first. My car is a Passat B6 and requires a 10mm star drive screwdriver.
Thanks for your very helpful instructions. I thought I ought to mention that mirrors with a dipping function, that works In conjunction with the interior mirror, have an extra multi plug that is even more in the way of the second screw that secures the lens assembly. It makes the job slightly more fiddly but still doable.
If change the blinkers.. But now my mirrors moving at the same time, the are sync now.. I want them to move separately.. Some one know how to do that.??
Everyone else who posted videos about this is lifting the main cover from the other side. The piece that you are replacing has 2 tabs on it. How come you can remove the top cover without removing those tabs first? You claim you need to remove tabs on the TOP of the main cover, when in fact the tabs are on the other side at the BOTTOM. Very confusing.
@@AlessandroMasiero75 Did you unplug anything? as you might have something around the wrong way? Just replacing the light should have no impact on the adjustment. Many thanks

Currently 817 likes, not a single dislike. That says a lot. Top video mate, thank you.

Great tutorial. Just replaced my light using this, to actually remove the connection that connects to the old light I recommend malgrips!
Its cool. Ive seen people take apart the mirror positioning engine to get to the screw you pointed out. I was kinda skeptical to take that apart

Golf 5 2006?
This is the same for most Volkswagen golfs, this was a 2008 MK 5 golf
how do you calibrate the movement between left and right ear? I move the left and the right also moves :(
@@AlessandroMasiero75 It should just be plug and play you may have a faulty switch!
FL4ME WITH A 4 the switch has always worked until I have detached the mirror but without disconnecting the cables. I do not know

Do it again, again, again
