We will look at how to get inspired and come up with good ideas as well as how you then need to translate and write your story in script form.
To communicate your ideas in a clearer way to your crew during production it is recommended to make a storyboard as well as other pre production material. This makes your filming smoother and better planned.

Thanks for the responses guys! The film went extremely well and was released at a few festivals in 2018. We are looking at a digital release very soon :)

Hendrico Steenkamp I recommend you to read this book by Robert Rodriguez Called A rebelle without a crew . It’s basically about how he made EL MARIACHI a critically acclaimed action movie for only 7K !
Plus there is great advise on shooting the movie cheep

OKAY I just thought of a plot element for any movie there is a hitman trying to make a difficult hit in a hotel or hospital etc ....Say the target is a VIP and his/her security team has taken over and secured an entire floor heavily armed at all elevators and stair exits...what to do? A toilet on a floor above the target's floor is removed and tethered explosives complete with detonator are channeled right down the large diameter sewer pipe .....maybe even a balloon blocks off the pipe at a certain level so that massive amount (relatively) amounts of explosive material can be loaded on top of the blockage....So much bang it just takes out the entire floor ....got the idea from a bank robbery movie they were putting communication line through the sewer via flushing it down the toilet

I watched some of your videos and i think they are very cool. I'm new to editing world and i'm here for learning. since now everything i watched in your channel was supper cool.
but i think one thing would make your videos way much useful. and it's a very brief conclusion at the end, like a bulletin or something you think is best.
for example in first you teach tactic A in 5 mins. then you teach tactic B in 7 mins. and so on... in the end you can conclude it like: "so today we learned -tactic A -tactic B -etc .

The title is a bit misleading. I was hoping to see at least your ways to find inspirations maybe some examples, even if they won't work for me. Why? It's a hint on how to look for my own way of finding inspiration. While I'm the video you just close the subject in short sentence. Keep up the good work but be consequent and focus on what's important in your video. Thank you again for this video!

Help me write a short screenplay. I want it to be really short like 4-5 pages because I intend to shoot this myself. Let me give you a few things.
In terms of locations I can have access/shoot in: a storage facility, house, backyard, nature by a lake, small empty office space

I always believed that a film, novel, tv show, etc should be like a college paper....it should have a "thesis" about something related to the human condition that you want to explore.
Lajos Egri, an American playwright, calls it "premise." If you have a good premise you are passionate about, the inspiration comes easily.
