JLP is a hero. He's funny, but he's not trolling. He was saying the same thing in 1992. You should watch Uncle Tom & Uncle Tom 2 and you'll undertand where he's coming from much better. Your fallen state episode was great!

Jamie, Jesse was right, speaking as a first borne son. It doesn't have to apply 110% textbook and doesn't mean that you love or that you're loved any less. I hold no anger or resentment for Mom whatsoever, because she did the best that she possibly could for how she was equipped. She never gave up on her children or our dad, her husband, and probably to her detriment, at times.
I'm not a crier per se, but I do reflect, feel emotional on occasion, even meloncholic, chew it up and manage to swallow it to eventually digest it. From what I see of your exchange is that you're talking slightly different languages with Jesse with similar intentions, but you're not quite connecting.

It was the best episode in my opinion. We need more conversations with others we don’t agree with, or understand. We need to heal this country, heal the world with understanding!

Jamie you always been entertaining and funny to me as a 90s kid growing up. So many celebrities have been such let downs (Howard Stern, The Rock, etc) but you have not let me down. That was a great interview and I am even more of a fan than I was before. You can do branch off and do your own thing without Hollywood. People will support those that are not sell outs
Jamie and jesse had a great episode. I would listen to a jamie and Jesse pod, that would be awesome. Jesse inserts some much needed comedy, where you don't expect it.

JLP sounds the most crazy when you first listen to him, if you enjoy the troll and continue watching, eventually you really do start to understand his statements through his guests misunderstandings (hard to explain). It’s a fun time all around and quite interesting. As you could imagine, some people really squirm when they’re in the hot seat

I agree with Lee to a certain extent about females hating the image of God (as man.) The evidence in the bible suggests. Genesis 2:16 indicates the original direct command from God was to Adam alone, as not only is "the man [i.e. Adam]" the subject, but the verb is 2nd person masculine singular, as are all the references that state "you" in v.17 (whether part of the verb or an actual pronoun in the Hebrew). This was prior to Eve's creation (2:18, 21-23).

New subscriber, always loved your movies and just discovered your Podcast. Jesse does see everything in definitives. No gray areas with him. I understand where he is coming from but in life it’s not that way. I thought you handled yourself as well as you could for going in blind like that. I find him interesting but extreme. I’m sure you noticed there are things he doesn’t know but we are like that. On what he truly believes he never wavers and I give him credit for that. He’s been that way forever. IMO:
He blanket states because he's trying to drive home the fundamental points of the theology as the starting and ending positions but you can argue in between the endpoints. He does it that way and because very very very very few human beings are good at receiving nuance and living in and by open systems. In fact, the masses want black or white answers, they just want it to be THEIR particular black or white position to be acknowledged as the correct one. The ENTIRE Left is defines itself that way. Test this out yourself and see if my thesis is wrong.

The point of asking if you love white ppl is a yes or no answer and that fact that ppl cannot answer yes is why he asks it. You either LOVE or not.
