- Christopher has parted ways with his publisher, DAW Books, and the last two Sun Eater novels will be published instead by Baen Books, who also have first-look rights on his next project.

Dude. You could write Sun Eater in morse code & we would eat it out of the palm of your hand. I've read a ton of sci-fi / fantasy & your storytelling ability is up there with the hall of famers IMO. This series deserves the highest praise.
Baen is now officially the only SFF publisher still publishing science fiction or fantasy.

As someone who loves the audio books I hope you can keep the same narrator. He does a great job with these books and I'd hate to lose him.
That shouldn't be a problem--the audio publisher isn't changing.

Just found this video after Pre-Ordering Book 6 on Audio which omes out so soon! Please PLEASE make sure we have the same narrator for the last book. I am vision impaired and audio is how I enjoy my books and having the narrator switched is so so jarring. The narrotor for your series is increidble and they ARE the voice of Hardian and so many others for me. Thanks for writing such an incredible series, I re-listen to the whole series everytime a book comes out. Currently 1/4 thru Silence and loving every second just like the first time. :D

I know this is completely beside the point but I’m kind of glad that this is happening. I’m sure this was stressful as hell and still is but Baen just seems like the only publisher I want to morally support. Go on writer dojo and drum up some support!

I just finished book 1 that I picked up at the Salt Lake City convention last year. Loved it so much I got a copy for my dad for his birthday. Thrilled to see this moving forward!

I just started reading "Empire of Silence" due to @MattsFantasyBookReviews so passionately reviewing it. Goodness, from the very first sentence, I became a ravenous hound that couldn't stop devouring page after page.

The cover blurb on my (UK) copy of Ashes of Man calls it the "fifth and final" novel in the series, which confused me for a bit. I'm glad to hear that it's even more incorrect than I thought.
Yeah, that typo was my fault. I should have caught it on review and failed.

I am very glad it worked out for both you and Hadrian’s story. Sun Eater is my favorite ongoing series so each release is an instabuy for me. I’m sure it feels good to finally get this out in the open.
I was hoping to hear about a new hardcover run for the first few books in the series. I’ll keep waiting and be here when they show up. I was hoping for some Anderida books special editions released yearly honestly. That would be pretty cool. Maybe Baen could do something like that in the future. A guy can dream 😊

Hi Sir. Your series was recommended by the Mike's book review channel, and so I started to read it. I'm halfway through the first book and I already like it a lot. I had some trouble buying it via amazon (wasn't available on the CA site, so had to trick the system and by from the US store), but fortunately now this is straightened out and could buy book 2 without issues. It is awesome to see your enthusiasm and that you did all this hard work to find a new publisher so you can complete the story. Thank you for these books! Keep up the good work :)

So happy the series will continue! I’m only a few chapters into Empire of Silence and I’m already hooked. Luckily I was able to get each book in hardcover before they started disappearing.

They are on ebay. The UK versions are generally moderately priced, but the US versions are astronomical.

The first five books are still subject to the original publisher. Never say never, but they haven't said anything to me as yet.
Congratulations Christopher! Well earned. I'm just happy to be along for the ride. So were you that determined to get a two word title to the penultimate volume? Also, does this grow the word count at all?? With the last split we got an extra 80k words. So do we get a bit more with this one as well?
It's kind of hard to quantify this time, since I was writing book 6, but yes. DAW wanted 200K words tops. Book 6 is currently 220K. As for the title, of course. Got to fix the symmetry issue.

Yeah, usually they'll send ARCs--or at least EARCs, to booktubers and critics. Baen is special in that they will let folks without a platform buy advance copies in ebook form, and not just pass them to folks with platforms.

I discovered your series through Daniel Green and have read all 5 and a couple of the smaller novels in like 45 days. I would really love to see you self publish some high end hardcover. I'd pay you directly for some leatherback volumes of the first 5. I know Sanderson has said it's a super good business decision as it gives you more revenue on a beloved series. Assume it's hard to do, but please let us know if you do that, I'd join in a kickstarter to get in on the ground floor 😊

So I actually already did this. Last May we ran a Kickstarter and the first volume is printing here and now. I'm afraid they're all sold out, but I'm hopeful that we'll be able to do a second run in the future.
