My gold fish died 6 years ago, after 11 years together. I didn’t know such method at that time……so the only thing I could do at that time was stay with him when he passed away😢It was a suffering experience for both of us. Why am I so sad for my little mollie fish? I can't bear to see him suffer, so I came here to see how it's done, and now I just find myself emotional over your fish. I know I have to do it, but I simply can't do blunt force even though he's little. I worry that I'll miss or not do it hard enough, and I just can't think of me doing something so physical brutal to such a poor little thing. (I don't even kill bugs.) I guess after everything I've read, this really is the best way. As long as I know he feels "good" in his final moments, and not suffering anymore. To everyone who had to come here to watch this, I'm so sorry for all of our fin-babies who had to swim under the rainbow bridge. :(

I had to do this once before but did not know the mixing of the oil and water trick first. Thank you so much for taking the time to show us how to do this in a way that is quick and not so traumatizing. My poor Goldie was really suffering and I had done everything I could to try to save him.
Be careful how much of the clover oil and which one you choose to add to the fish water. The clover oil I used was and essential oil in a small bottle, and was more potent than the one shown in the video. My fish leaped out of the water immediately upon adding the clover oil and was definitely in pain. I feel that I caused him a painful and horrific death! Be careful!
Thanks for the heads up! I was under the impression that oil was oil, apparently the concentration of eugenol (the active chemical) differs based on which part of the plant the oil is extracted from. I’m guessing the essential oil you used was from the bud or stem! Sorry for your loss, my friend.
