Backpacking the Enchantments - Day 1

- First day of my summer backpacking trip into the Enchantments. This is a very popular route on the east side of the Cascades, and has notoriously difficult to get permits. I was lucky enough to grab a permit when someone cancelled and took Aasgard pass into the core Enchantments. This place never lets me down, enjoy!

Washington is beautiful.
Dang! Well, I'm glad you're listening to your health. Thanks for sharing the fabulous views of Dragontail!
Thank you so much, Dragontail is an amazing mountain.
Stunning views as usual. Very much appreciate what you go thru to bring the rewards back to us. Been watching your videos for a bit, sorry I haven't subscribed til now. You have set my agenda for the next several trips to Washington. Anyway, thank you and take care of yourself.
Thank you so much! Have fun hiking!
Wow Colchuck is really low.... The trail looks like a ghost town! We did a 5 day Core permit 2nd mid-week of last August and is was a freeway of people. The Enchantments, the never ending view..... Absolutely love that place.
Starting before shuttles arrive helps with the crowds. But it was weirdly empty for a weekend. The Enchantments never fail to deliver!
Subscribed! Very laid-back but professional work. The North Cascades have so much to offer!
Thank you so much! The Enchantments always deliver
Looks stunning. What time of year did you go to avoid the bugs?
How long is the climb from the bottom to top of Aasgard Pass, with normal breaks along the way ?
It takes me 2 hours with a full pack 1.5 hours with a day pack
