Uh your epiphany and appreciation that BTS has shattered the race, gender, culture, etc roles makes me want to hug your Mama. She done good raising you. 👏
Idk Nan Molla 1 right! It’s great to see 2 intelligent boys that don’t let toxic masculinity define what they should listen or like and be open to new things.
These guys are just starting to listen to BTS and they need very little to understand or identify the lyrics and the whole visual aspect of both the dance and the video, their observations always give the meaning or the point of situation.
It's ironic that you mention them "loving themselves" because that is a HUGE part of their message. I believe "love yourself" was the main message of the speech that RM gave at the UN. love your reactions!! If you want to get more into the vocal line, I would suggest you check out the live version of "The Truth Untold".
The meaning to the song is about the fear of them losing there passion in music..Rm wrote most of this song..There’s a movie called blackswan which is about a dancer going insane. That is why bts decided to title the song blackswan..Thank you guys to reacting to this I’m really enjoying your reactions
The person that you asked about who is singing is Jimin. He did contemporary/ modern dance before joining BTS. He is the one with the wings sprouting from his back!
I think in black swan they're talking about the fear of loosing passion of something you've spend most of your life with, In their case music. The fear of someday the music they make and hear no longer excites them, no longer makes their heart beat as it used to. We often spend most of our lives searching for something we love that meets our passion, something that we would be willing to do for the rest of our lives but this passion, the love we have will it sowly fade away someday? When I first read the lyrics I was blown away. Im not really into kpop but bts is different. Im so amazed by this group.
Indeed. I’m amazed as well! they are more than a boyband thing. Their music are not just something with good melody and repeated words but with really beautiful lyrics. There’s philosophy and psychology. Genius with words. Some touch directly and some make you think, some phrases are flowing like a poem. Also, some songs have a straight-forward and aggressive lyrics which is incredible.
I’m like u I have tried other kpop groups but I end up liking just couple songs with BTS it’s different they just hit different they make me feel different and I’m completely obsessed with them lol 💜
On the topic of loving oneself, BTS actually have an era that is titled, “Love yourself.” It consists of three coherent albums (Loveyourself: Her, Loveyourself: Tear, and Loveyourself: Answer) which go through the journey of love and come to the conclusion that being able to love yourself for who you are is one of the most important things in life. This album trilogy is known for having many healing/self help songs that have helped and strengthened many fans struggling with anxiety and depression. BTS also teamed up with UNICEF to do a Loveyourself campaign in which they aimed to help end violence and and protect the global youth. I’m going to stop here or else this comment will be too long lol💜
The one you asked who was singing was, Jimin. He also a very important character in this music video, he's the one who had the wings representing the back swan. Another things is that the bond between ARMY and BTS is something that allows us to be ourselves with eachother, in a way we are eachother's comfort zone. There is a song called 'magic shop' which they talk to ARMY and tell us how BTS is always going to be in our hearts as our comfort in a place in our hearts called magic shop. The bond is a lot more (dare I say) stronger than any simple fan and artist bond, it's a bond of love and appreciation for one another to succeed as we support eachother to love ourselves and be greater people in the future. Also I loved your reaction videos so far, hope you can join us (ARMY) on this path with BTS, also listen to some fan songs, example: •Magic shop •bulletproof : the eternal •zero o'clock •still with you •paradise These are just some of my personal fav fan songs. Have a lovely day 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 (Also purple is really important to us, it means that we trust and love you, v/taehyung was the one who came up with it.)
We greatly appreciate you dropping this in the comments, read it twice and We enjoy listening to them and interacting with y’all in the comments it’s truly amazing 💜💜
Your comment on self love was on point, yes they transcend many boundaries, language, culture, gender, race and age, I'm a 63 year old Native Am women and have been Army for 4 years, I attended their Speak Yourself Concert @ the Rose Bowl with my niece and her family,, amazing talented, humble young men
because you guys are starting to get into kpop, here's some of the kpop vocabulary: MV = music video bias = favorite in the group trainee = kids/young people that sign a contract with a kpop company and spend years having rigorous and intense training to become future kpop stars Idol = a kpop singer that when through the whole kpop industry trainee system to be part of a group maknae = the youngest aegyo = acting cute (intentionally cringe) comeback = when a kpop act has a new song or album release daesang = highest award in kpop hwaiting = cheering someone on ("fighting" in english) the big 3 = the 3 biggest and most influential entertainment companies in Korea (YG, SM and JYP)
Income wise they're not really the Big 3 anymore but name and influence over broadcasting companies still gives them quite a bit of power in the Korean music industry, sadly enough.
@@user-ct3er8fo1u I mean, not really. MBC has blacklisted all artists associated with BH just because BTS went to New Years Rockin Eve instead of their end of the year show.
You are right about them not caring about negative comments about them. They are used to hearing people mocking them (even interviewers in US) about wearing make -up and being skinny. Even racist commentaries about them. They just brush it off and move on. That is the reason why I think people are drawn to them. They genuinely care about their fans who appreciate them. Their fans are the most diverse I’ve ever seen in terms of boyband or groups. When they almost disbanded back in 2018 (due to anxiety, pressure, depression...) Jimin said that the only reason they held up together was the love they are getting from fans. He was reminded when he had watched the ARMY singing their song in one of their concerts.
They performed this song ("Black Swan") live for the first time on the show "The late late show with James Corden". I recommend that you react to that presentation ua-cam.com/video/wSNd02kVv8o/v-deo.html BTS also did "carpool karaoke" for the same show "The Late Late Show with James Corden" ua-cam.com/video/T4x7sDevVTY/v-deo.html You could also react to this one.
This song is about BTS' love for music and the fear that one day may lose their passion about it...shadow represents all the darkness that goes with fame and popularity, in the end the boys realise that shadow always will be part of their selves along with their persona and ego and they are gonna embrace all the aspects of their selves! I love your reactions, take care!
I really appreciate how open-minded and honest you are in your discussions about these videos. You're right about them having artistic and autonomous confidence. How they're not letting others' perception hold them back any longer. But it has been a long struggle for them to reach this point, after all the vitriol, death threats, physical trauma, and sabotage they've endured. At this point, they have worked through the constraints of their egos, fully aware that their bond with each and with their fans is what has brought them to this point. They remain humble and awed at their own success, and all of this is why their fans are so incredibly protective of them.
3:35 okay so you're asking about the shadow in the background right? Well from what I know in this song they are talking about their most harrowing shadow yet (fears), one that any person who lives for making art faces (idols or simply artists): in losing the passion for creating. "A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful." - Martha Graham Much like a dancer feels purposeless when they can no longer express themselves through dance, BTS contends that the day that music no longer fills them with the same passionate fire as before, or even if there came a day when they stopped creating music - what they feel is their life's purpose - it would feel like death. This "shadow" behind SUGA is Jimin. If you watch closely, he also became the shadow behind RM in this MV. The swan dancer (Jimin) represents the BTS' ego, struggling to contend with the rest of the dancers, "the shadows" holding them back. Suga addressed the "shadows" and darkness that go hand-in-hand with Map of the Soul 7's opening track. Btw this track is an Interlude for the Map of the Soul 7 album called "Shadow" by Suga from BTS.
I just cried when you were talking about them, cause it's true and its incredible that you, in a point that you dont know them as much as ARMYs do, noticed and pointed that. This is the power of true artists and their pieces of work!
ok. you just made me seriously tear up talking about + appreciating the way they break gender roles/stereotypes and make everyone feel comfortable and help us to love ourselves...... the way you guys instantly read deeply into bts's entire ethos and message is incredible!
By just listening to this video, you have understood what is BTS, why they are here and most important, what they are trying to share with us. JUST LOVE YOU SO MUCH GUYS. You nice keep going
You guys are awesome! About the “loving oneself” you guys are correct. They have a whole Album about Self love & their goal is to protect and heal others💜 RM has always spoken about him not knowing how to love him self but thanks to us ARMY he has learned to love himself little by little which completely made ARMYS all over the world cry because RM has gone through so much🥺❤️ He’s a wonderful human being that deserves so much in life💯 Thank you for your reaction!
"Who is that?" Referring to the member doing a solo dance. That is PARK JIMIN. The member who can do contemporary dance, locking and popping. Also a taekwondo black belter, with experience in Chinese and Japanese martial arts. The only member who can mix ballet, contemporary and martial arts in his dancing.
Exactly, them being able to allow so many different people to enjoy their music. And honestly also love the stylists choice to put the boys in corsets cause damn they look so damn good and pull it off so well.
One of the details you have to pay attention to in this MV is Jimin. He is one of the most important characters (or member). Because he represents the "Shadow" and "Swan". He's also the one that has been doing all the solo dances in this MV plus is the shadow behind both RM and SUGA. At first when I saw the title "Black Swan" I immediately thought of the ballet sequence "Swan Lake" which is very famous for it's interpretation of the "White Swan : Odette" and the "Black Swan". But I was not quite right, it turns out the theory for this is talks about artists that starts losing the passion for creating, in which described as 'their first death'. There are seven dancers for the seven members of BTS, where Jimin seems to represent the "swan", constantly feeling shackled and pushed down by the others around him. A cage of light even appears halfway through the dance, further establishing the swan's inability to escape the darkness that binds him. If you probably know there is an art studio version of "Black Swan" which pictures EXACTLY what this song means. In every single choreography you can picture a story where the swan tries to escape the shadow within even when it keeps pushing the swan down.
The only reactor that able to see through on why BTS is so loved by their ARMY. We not only love their music. People can just be casually enjoying some music. But in BTS case, their music is their message that heal and inspire. And their personality make their fans stay and be dedicated. Cos we want to mirror what they do. Live with passion.
I love what Alex said about how BTS by being themselves, allow their audience to feel comfortable being themselves too. I think this sums up why they are so popular. They model how to accept and love themselves and eachother within the group, and all of us can see that and feel that, and it passes on to us
They have a storyline through the videos, in this era they are facing their shadow...which is based in map of the soul psychological book by Carl Jung, that basically u must accept ur shadows to be better person...in this case the shadow might represent the fear of losing the passion for music as the lyrics says
Thank you for commenting about self love.. From when they started you can see how they grew with their song... They used to have a lot of doubts especially jimin but he has grown to accept himself for who he is... I'm so proud of them.
@3:15 behind Suga is his “shadow” growing. This album was based on Carl Jung’s theory of individuation which reflects on the balance between our Persona, Shadow, and Ego. The title Black Swan is based on the film where the main character/ballerina is repressed, denies her true self and gets consumed by her shadow and becomes insane. Suga also has a solo track on this album called “Interlude:Shadow” where he’s trying to find balance instead of fighting his shadow. You should react to it too!
The video was shot in a historic theater in Los Angeles's that hasn't been open to the public for quite awhile, I have been in the lobby where the big staircase is. My relative that had a photo shoot there said they felt uneasy the whole time. I wondered if BTS and their staff experienced anything. Great reaction 💜💜💜
it’s amazing how BTS manages to push through their message even though these guys had no clue what it was at the time. this means the very essence of their music creates that sort of message to the viewer. BTS uses their talents, skills, teamwork, minds, hearts & souls to push forward their message. absolutely talented young men. this is why i’m an ARMY.
Usually when people ( or atleast some of the you tubers I’ve never watched )listen to bts for the first time , they enjoy the music but deeper part of it comes to them quite slow but you guys ! I don’t know how but I really like the way you guys think , because the things you guys talk about are the messages that they believe and stand for , like self love . To me , I found bts 2 years ago when I was at a point in my life when I had little to no confidence in myself . But through their songs and lyrics they taught me that it’s ok , that I can take it slow and that I am precious . It was almost magical , they knew what I was desperately hoping to hear from those around me . I was in 11th grade then and had almost given up , but here I am , I got into my dream college ,I’m happy . Their message resonates even more knowing that they have gone through these exact emotions and they found their way out . Sorry for the long ass comment 😅 I just love these guys so much . Also the whole ‘map of the soul ‘ album is related to themes in Jugian psychology
Idk how you always get everything so spot on wow. You're right, their entire message is about self-love and music transcending language, age, race, and gender identity. RM talks about this exactly in his UN Speech.
You’re talkin about listening without prejudice! 💜 exactly what ARMY is going for...just give em a chance and it’s like WOW, glad that you’re feelin it
At the beginning of their career they were really so sensitive to the things you said like dancing , makeup and anything would be considered feminine But the more time passed they started to realize that what you wear or what you do doesn’t change anything about the fact that you are a man Wearing makeup , dancing or acting cute doesn’t make you less masculine. They started being more confident seeing how their fans genuinely liked their music no matter what And with that they felt that they used us to love themselves and urged us to use them to love ourselves They have three albums that talks about Self Love This group used and still talk about a lot of important things , they healed me and millions of other people only with their music. I was 16 when I found them now I’m 21 I can’t be any happier I grew up always listening to 7 talented guys telling me how much I worth rather than listening to the voices in my head that always try to breaks me and still there’s a lot of things they helped me with that I need at least one week to finish talking about 😂💜 I owe them a lot
The member singing at 4:00 was Jimin he's part if the vocal and official dance line. It's so awesome that you're picking up on their message. They've have this message of protecting the youth, loving yourself, and so much more for 7 years. There message and belief has never wavered or change, it's grown to encompass more but it hasn't taken away from their core. The amazing thing is that it's not just the boys but their entire company. If you pay attention to the beginning of their MV's when the white bubbles says BigHit before it says entertainment it flashes "Music and Artists for healing" that's what BTS does they help to heal you through their music, videos, messages, stuff they share with us etc. They try to heal.
Beautiful and thoughtful review of the MV. This song is about when you stop doing what you love most, and that is referred to us as our first death. For them it is music and dance but it could be anything. So they want us to keep doing that thang. I’m in Florida 💜
Great reaction guys, I agree that you said about they love themself, they are unique and a special group wihtout compared with other groups. They are so talented, is crazy! Please react to some practice dance, you enjoy a lot, sure! I'm suscribing at your Chanel right now
BTS is a huge advocate of loving yourself. Their whole last tour was Love Yourself Speak Yourself. Check out their MV Boy with Luv...real men wear pink!
You're absolutely correct. They have a whole series in their albums called Love Yourself and also Map of the Soul where they explore the mind and what it takes to accept yourself. I hope you will also listen to their old music too because it all adds up to show their journey into breaking boundaries and worldwide records.
What you were saying about the atmosphere they create - that they are so comfortable in their own skin they can make others feel the same way... it's really true. I can not wait for the day you decide to check out some live performances - it's where they truly shine. They are fantastic rappers, singers, and dancers, but another thing they have is undeniable stage presence. They are true performers and when they are on stage there is this almost magical push and pull of energy with the crowd - I really can't describe it well, but their shows are miles apart from any other I have been to.
hi! i just checked out your channel and now im binge watching all your videos and its 2am in the morning lool. i love your honest opinions and reactions to bts music. thank you for viewing them as artists and understanding the messages behind their songs. it means a lot to us and to them since they pour their heart and soul while making these masterpieces. you deserve my subscription!!! i hope you keep on making videos that make you happy 💙💙
@Nyka We greatly appreciate you subscribing and enjoying our content😁😁BTS is a big big fav on this channel and we will continue to give y’all first time reactions of anything. Y’all dictate what videos we do and we click play and watch 😁😁🔥🔥🤙🏾💜💜
Wow you are so on point...I’m shook you’ve figured that out ...that’s their ongoing message at the moment...love yourself...like one of their lyrics said...”I’m the one I should loved...in this world” ❤️👍 best reaction so far.
Wow... you have the Loving Yourself thing down pat. They really advocate for self love and the finding of oneself. They had a Love Yourself trilogy that circulated around that concept and idea, (Her, Answer, and Tear) and they had a Love Myself Campaign with UNICEF where they raised so much money to fight against violence with those album and merch sales. They spoke about their message in the campaign in front of the United Nations General Assembly, which is pretty phenomenal. They've spread a message of positive energy and pure love to anyone who would listen and it makes me proud to be an ARMY 💜
I don’t know why but when you said they are in this level of self love and they allow us to be who we are I cried. Because I felt that, that’s why I am so deeply rooted to them now, the positivity they provide to people regardless of gender/sexuality, race, religion beliefs etc. those are titles but they break through it and make people feel one and human. I am on my own journey of self-love and they are my greatest example, inspiration and motivation to do so.
One of the most genuine people I've ever seen reacting to BTS. Beginning to listen to BTS and they need very little to understand or identify the lyrics and the whole visual aspect of both the dance and the video, their observations always give meaning or point of situation.
You're ABSOLUTELY RIGHT about these guys. They went through a lot bro. They truly deserve all they have now and so much more. They're our home, they teached us to love ourselves. I am so moved with your comments about them as human being. Tnx a lot. U made me cry. ❤
Your perception to their messages is truly amazing. I super appreciate the way you emphasize that is more than confidence, its the self love that they have that inspires others to achieve it too. Because that's really what they are doing, and for me, achieving that level of self love is still difficult, but im getting there. I know it takes time. I hope everybody can achieve that self love level bts have. Thank you sm for a great reaction!!
Facts Facts, they have an entire album (3 actually) named Love Yourself, and they explain the process one person goes through to, pain, suffering, sadness, break up and through them finding yourself, what your deserving off and loving yourself above everything else. Great work on the reacting, Much Love from Portugal
The dancer that’s doing contemporary dance that you asked about is Jimin. Remember from the “Who is BTS: The Seven Members of Bangtan” that Jimin was at the top of his contemporary dance school
I just found your channel by someone recommending it from the Bangtan reddit thread. Your explanation of their self love was so moving! I'm glad you're on the BTS journey and doing it respectfully Much love already You've gained yourself a new subscriber
This is one of the best reactions i’ve seen. You really listen to what they are trying to say and appreciate them for their talent and hard work. Thank you for this🙏🏽
Been enjoying your genuine appreciation and curiosity about these great guys! Their main message is to Love Yourself, which is portrayed in so many of their songs and fan interactions on social media platforms. This rabbit hole will be one of the best you will dive into and I can't wait to see how you respond to their lives and other genres of music!! :)
This entire song has such a deep meaning. The lyrics are based on a quote by a late American dancer Martha Graham, “A dancer dies twice. Once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful.” Then there is the name of the song and the theme of the mv, they are both referencing the movie Black Swan. The plot line for the movie follows a young ballet dancer that is trying to get the main dancer part on a Swan Lake production, but she ends up going to extreme lengths while archiving this, to the point that she quite literally loses her mind. What BTS was trying to convey with this song is their fear of ever losing their passion for music, because at the end of the day they do what they do because they truly love doing it and is a terrifying thought for them to ever work on their music simply because it’s their job. It’s like when you are about to graduate high-school and everybody is always asking you what you want to study for in collage and you say you don’t know, most parents tell their children to just take care to decide on something that they really enjoy, because if you love your job then it’s like you didn’t work a day in your life. BTS doesn’t want to ever get to the point of writing, producing and performing their music for the sake of it becoming popular and making money and nothing more. Now about the shadow in the background, both their previous album and this latest release have themes taken from a book by a Swiss psychiatrist, Carl Jung, by the name Map of the Soul. The book talks about how a person’s psych is divided into three distinctive aspects; Persona, Shadow, and Ego. Persona was explored in BTS’ album Map of the Soul: Persona (the song Intro: Persona is a solo by RM) while this current album (Map of the Soul: 7) dives into the other two with their songs Interlude: Shadow (a solo by Suga) and Outro: Ego (a solo by J-Hope). If the shadow in the background has a meaning other than that of being a reference to one of the themes for the album then I honestly couldn’t tell you right now, sorry 😅 btw both Suga’s shadow in the video, the first big one on the wall, and Jungkook’s shadow at the end was Jimin dancing, while the one on the ceiling above RM was J-Hope.
Loved the breakdown of your thoughts about BTS beyond their amazing music and performances. Thank you for sharing your off screen conversation with us. They are living proof that there is power in truth, and the honesty and vulnerability they've shown in their art as well as in behind the scenes and interviews and interactions with each other, truly makes them bulletproof. Like how can you successfully hate on someone who knows and loves themself? It's INEFFECTIVE. Those haters are now "dying inside their wells", their narrow wells they either created themselves or allowed to be built around them because they weren't brave enough to resist being boxed in. Meanwhile these guys are being true and while they initially suffered for it now they are living their best life on their terms. What freedom. I can't wait to see you all react to MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA 'Persona' Comeback Trailer and their UN speech. Both in the song and the speech, RM talks about his journey to self love and how he used to and still does struggle with it. The self-awareness and introspection is astounding and inspiring. And yes, only in their 20's and I feel like they are giving advice to my ole 30-something azz. The amazement you described is exactly how I felt when I starting learning about them for the first time just a couple of months ago. In the exact same stages. I thought the music was good, then as I got to know about them individually, their messages in their songs, and just got to witness talent and art in a time where it's so taken for granted. Man. I haven't been this into music/ artists since the early 2000s lol. I've only been a fan for a few weeks and am so mad I didn't take the time to discover them earlier. I let my prejudice of "just another boyband" keep me from a great thing. Lesson learned! I love your reactions and thoughtfulness and and the progression of your appreciation for this group. I look forward to more. Subscribed!
Please react to BTS live...your won’t understand the magnitude of this group until you see them perform live! They are amazing in all levels...the cyphers live is a good place to start...💜
I got me a little emotional watching this because of the way you were taking about them for me their music and their personality actually saved my life I was in such a dark place and when I found out about them last year it brought my self love back to me and made me more proactive in life great video
Loved your reaction. Especially when you said that BTS have reached a level of self love that when you listen to their music you feel like you want to love yourself at that level as well. Very well said!! BTW at 4:13 when you said "WHO IS THAT?!" That was JIMIN-sing and dancing! The main dancer and lead vocalist of BTS!! He's also the one who is the dancing shadow at the beginning and performing the modern dance solos throughout the video.
The entire song is inspired by a quote from Martha Graham (an American dancer and choreographer, one of the so-called "great four" founders of American modern dance): "a Dancer dies twice. The first time is when he stops dancing, and this first death is much more painful." That's what the guys are singing about. They remind themselves, their listeners, and, of course, their fans that the most important thing in creative work is creativity, not fame and popularity. You should always remember what you are doing and for whom (of course, the emphasis is on the fact that you are doing all this only for your own satisfaction). You can't let fame, wealth, and almost intangible success overshadow the most important goals of your creative path. For both dancers and singers, the first death is the loss of interest and love for their own works, for their work: the loss of passion and the urge to create - that's what really scares the most popular group in the world.
The Love Yourself Era have a series of 3 albums that takes you through a story, you have to check them out . "They always remind us to speak and love ourselves " );
I sincerely enjoyed your perspective and analogy of BTS. Such a nice review coming from two young men who have recently discovered them. I really admire you. BTS is all about self love. So insightful; You caught onto that well. There beginnings were so humble and yet, they remain humble as mature young men today. I'm looking forward to more of your reactions.
The guy solo dancing is our baby jimin
Watch Jimin dance compilation if you want to see his dancing, and Jimin high notes & raspy voice for his great vocals
JIMINSSII 🤣
Chimmy the baby
Our baby Mochii🤭💜
Uh your epiphany and appreciation that BTS has shattered the race, gender, culture, etc roles makes me want to hug your Mama. She done good raising you. 👏

I wanna thank their mama for bringing them to this WORLD.
It's ironic that you mention them "loving themselves" because that is a HUGE part of their message. I believe "love yourself" was the main message of the speech that RM gave at the UN. love your reactions!! If you want to get more into the vocal line, I would suggest you check out the live version of "The Truth Untold".
Lily Bea this is the link to RM’s UN speech ua-cam.com/video/oTe4f-bBEKg/v-deo.html
Looking forward to your reaction video on UN speech by BTS RM 💜
The meaning to the song is about the fear of them losing there passion in music..Rm wrote most of this song..There’s a movie called blackswan which is about a dancer going insane. That is why bts decided to title the song blackswan..Thank you guys to reacting to this I’m really enjoying your reactions
I suggest bookish theory for the explanation. Her explanation is mostly on points.
I'm holding my tears while listening Alex. My whole body is taken by goosebumps. POWERFUL WORDS. You guys are blessed
We appreciate you @React Brésil and glad that you checked us out. It means a lot!!!KeepItAmicy
The person that you asked about who is singing is Jimin. He did contemporary/ modern dance before joining BTS. He is the one with the wings sprouting from his back!

Also I loved your reaction videos so far, hope you can join us (ARMY) on this path with BTS, also listen to some fan songs, example:
•Magic shop
•bulletproof : the eternal
•zero o'clock
•still with you
•paradise
These are just some of my personal fav fan songs.
Have a lovely day 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
(Also purple is really important to us, it means that we trust and love you, v/taehyung was the one who came up with it.)
We greatly appreciate you dropping this in the comments, read it twice and We enjoy listening to them and interacting with y’all in the comments it’s truly amazing 💜💜
Your comment on self love was on point, yes they transcend many boundaries, language, culture, gender, race and age, I'm a 63 year old Native Am women and have been Army for 4 years, I attended their Speak Yourself Concert @ the Rose Bowl with my niece and her family,, amazing talented, humble young men
@ Mary Wow that’s amazing to hear and the fact that their music touches every age group is phenomenal 🔥
because you guys are starting to get into kpop, here's some of the kpop vocabulary:
MV = music video
bias = favorite in the group
trainee = kids/young people that sign a contract with a kpop company and spend years having rigorous and intense training to become future kpop stars
Idol = a kpop singer that when through the whole kpop industry trainee system to be part of a group
maknae = the youngest
aegyo = acting cute (intentionally cringe)
comeback = when a kpop act has a new song or album release
daesang = highest award in kpop
hwaiting = cheering someone on ("fighting" in english)
the big 3 = the 3 biggest and most influential entertainment companies in Korea (YG, SM and JYP)
Theyre not the big 3 anymore it’s Bighit n.o 1 JYP n.o 2 SM n.o 3. Bighit earns more than every single kpop company’s earnings put together with BTS
Income wise they're not really the Big 3 anymore but name and influence over broadcasting companies still gives them quite a bit of power in the Korean music industry, sadly enough.
Bulletproof Dreamers now people just hear BIGHIT And go oh we want them
@@user-ct3er8fo1u I mean, not really. MBC has blacklisted all artists associated with BH just because BTS went to New Years Rockin Eve instead of their end of the year show.
Bulletproof Dreamers I mean apart from MBC ha ha they’re salty exes but majority of other shows
4:05 Singing and doing the solodancing is Jimin. Blue hair in this MV.
He was reminded when he had watched the ARMY singing their song in one of their concerts.
their songs always have a deeper meaning and 95% of the MVs do too
4:06 is JIMIN
4:11 that's jimin...all solo contemporary dance scenes are by Jimin...
Thank you for dropping the info
They performed this song ("Black Swan") live for the first time on the show "The late late show with James Corden". I recommend that you react to that presentation ua-cam.com/video/wSNd02kVv8o/v-deo.html
BTS also did "carpool karaoke" for the same show "The Late Late Show with James Corden" ua-cam.com/video/T4x7sDevVTY/v-deo.html You could also react to this one.
I personally like the James Corden version better. It feels more personal and grounding watching them dance barefooted 🤷🏼♀️
this song meaning
"a dancer/performer faces 2 deaths ,,the 1st one is more painful is the one of not being able to perform/dance"
We appreciate you dropping the info😁😁
"A dancer dies twice - once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful." - Martha Graham
Much like a dancer feels purposeless when they can no longer express themselves through dance, BTS contends that the day that music no longer fills them with the same passionate fire as before, or even if there came a day when they stopped creating music - what they feel is their life's purpose - it would feel like death.
That’s jimin that you keep seeing
I just cried when you were talking about them, cause it's true and its incredible that you, in a point that you dont know them as much as ARMYs do, noticed and pointed that. This is the power of true artists and their pieces of work!
The one who is dancing solo is Park Jimin he was my bias...when you jimin u cant jimout🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha love it
ok. you just made me seriously tear up talking about + appreciating the way they break gender roles/stereotypes and make everyone feel comfortable and help us to love ourselves...... the way you guys instantly read deeply into bts's entire ethos and message is incredible!
We always come to the table open minded and We feel like it would be wrong to just jump to conclusions. We greatly appreciate you watching @Bunny
By just listening to this video, you have understood what is BTS, why they are here and most important, what they are trying to share with us. JUST LOVE YOU SO MUCH GUYS. You nice keep going
The person singing at that 4:05 mark is none other than our mochi Jimin. You can also see him doing the awesome dancing in the background as well
You guys are awesome!
Thank you soo much for that and watching it truly means a lot and can’t wait to check out more 💜
"Who is that?" Referring to the member doing a solo dance. That is PARK JIMIN. The member who can do contemporary dance, locking and popping. Also a taekwondo black belter, with experience in Chinese and Japanese martial arts. The only member who can mix ballet, contemporary and martial arts in his dancing.
4:23 Jimin. He was in highschool he went to contemporary dance academy. Top student
please react to these videos:

*-THIS IS BTS: CRASH COURSE TO A WORLD SENSASTION (2020)*
All of those have great information 👍🏼
I second this. If ya'll wanna know about their background, these are great videos to see where they came from and where they are now.
Preach sis..💜
Yes!
UP + UN speech
I love yalls personality.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
We appreciate you!!
Exactly, them being able to allow so many different people to enjoy their music. And honestly also love the stylists choice to put the boys in corsets cause damn they look so damn good and pull it off so well.
*self love* : “thats what I socialize these guys”
(THATS BTS FREAKING MESSAGE: *self love* )
4:18 That's Jimin! Lead vocalist, main dancer, and happy virus of the group
2019 MMA PERFORMANCE ua-cam.com/video/k-0v1fNVdas/v-deo.html
Thank you for commenting about self love.. From when they started you can see how they grew with their song... They used to have a lot of doubts especially jimin but he has grown to accept himself for who he is... I'm so proud of them.
Glad y’all put us on to them 💜
Your speech about the conversation you had is so powerful. Their music really did transcend language, countries, races, for people of all ages.
I love watching you guys become Army and get BTS' message and what they stand for. Keep on doing what you do. Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
im setting an alarm since it's in 8mins before it starts.. i like your reactions guys so im waiting for this
You are really seeing things other reactors just don't see, or even try to see and I'm loving that so much. 💜
Some songs we will miss a lot but we try to at least notice what’s going on, We appreciate you watching💜💜KeepItAmicy
best reactors ever!! 😭💜 Thank you so much for taking time out of your daily day to react to BTS!
That really means a lot to us, thank you 😁😁
The video was shot in a historic theater in Los Angeles's that hasn't been open to the public for quite awhile, I have been in the lobby where the big staircase is.
I have never seen someone understand and appreciate where bts come from (in an emotional way) as fast as alex. mad respect to you!
Idk how you always get everything so spot on wow. You're right, their entire message is about self-love and music transcending language, age, race, and gender identity. RM talks about this exactly in his UN Speech.
I love your insight on BTS's trancendence, you are so right! I have subscribed!! #Army 💜
You’re talkin about listening without prejudice! 💜 exactly what ARMY is going for...just give em a chance and it’s like WOW, glad that you’re feelin it
We will always come to the table with an open mind😁😁We are excited for this journey down the rabbit hole💜KeepItAmicy
At the beginning of their career they were really so sensitive to the things you said like dancing , makeup and anything would be considered feminine
But the more time passed they started to realize that what you wear or what you do doesn’t change anything about the fact that you are a man
Wearing makeup , dancing or acting cute doesn’t make you less masculine.
They started being more confident seeing how their fans genuinely liked their music no matter what
And with that they felt that they used us to love themselves and urged us to use them to love ourselves
They have three albums that talks about Self Love
This group used and still talk about a lot of important things , they healed me and millions of other people only with their music.
I was 16 when I found them now I’m 21 I can’t be any happier I grew up always listening to 7 talented guys telling me how much I worth rather than listening to the voices in my head that always try to breaks me and still there’s a lot of things they helped me with that I need at least one week to finish talking about 😂💜
I owe them a lot
+
In their song “born singer” RM said “Sunglasses, hairstyle I know why you ridicule me
In any case, it's me who's gone further than you at age 20”
The Know their own Self Worth and they teach us how to find our own.
Beautiful and thoughtful review of the MV. This song is about when you stop doing what you love most, and that is referred to us as our first death. For them it is music and dance but it could be anything. So they want us to keep doing that thang. I’m in Florida 💜
Yess you are right...'love yourself' is their message 💜💜💜💜
It's so fun watching this journey, I have to skip stuff I havent seen myself but im loving this
Great reaction guys, I agree that you said about they love themself, they are unique and a special group wihtout compared with other groups.
They are so talented, is crazy!
Please react to some practice dance, you enjoy a lot, sure!
I'm suscribing at your Chanel right now
Ayyyye welcome to the amicy gang!!
I just finished watching your reaction of the introduction and know I'm here, you guys are so fun to watch, thank you for really paying attention.
"You have no HOPE!" EXACTLY!
Hahaa I see what u did there
I love that you two actually get it, and you get BTS, and you are enjoying them so much!!!
You both get the message they have been conveying in such a short period of time and a few couple of mv's @6:00... that made me smile.
You earned a subscribe from me. Two gorgeous men who are open minded and appreciative of the massive talent that is BTS.
Carrie you are awesome!! We appreciate you!
We need to check it out ASAP haha. Shout out to Portugal!!!!
THIS is a completely perfect song from beginning to end! one of my FAV BTS songs, black swan!! BTS motto is: self love!! well spotted guys!
The dancer that’s doing contemporary dance that you asked about is Jimin. Remember from the “Who is BTS: The Seven Members of Bangtan” that Jimin was at the top of his contemporary dance school
You guys should check out the Black Swan dance practice, just for your own enjoyment.
"they allow you to be who u are" nice take away. I'm subscribing. Keep it up!!!!
self love is what theyve been promoting and ‘preaching’ in their songs!
the only reactors who pause to say something meaningful and/or funny, thank you!! 👏
I just found your channel by someone recommending it from the Bangtan reddit thread.
Your explanation of their self love was so moving!
I'm glad you're on the BTS journey and doing it respectfully
Much love already
You've gained yourself a new subscriber
binge-watching all your bts reactions all the way from the philippines!
We greatly appreciate you 😁😁shout the Phillipines!!!
This is one of the best reactions i’ve seen. You really listen to what they are trying to say and appreciate them for their talent and hard work. Thank you for this🙏🏽
I teared up. Everything you said, Alex, was spot on. Thank you for filming your BTS journey. Purple you!
That speech, about self-love and identity... i love you guys 💜💜 you get it.
I think you might enjoy watching the BTS at United Nations speech.
Wow self love is what BTS invite everyone to do and you guys just said it without watching most of their songs about self love hats off to you 💜
Been enjoying your genuine appreciation and curiosity about these great guys!
Subscribed!
you are so great Alex coz Love Yourself is the last album (trilogy: Her, Tear, Answer) era they had before releasing Map Of The Soul albums.
I think you guys are my favorite reactors I love you!! ❤️
Damn, that speech about self love was beautiful
We appreciate you watching
Please react to BTS live...your won’t understand the magnitude of this group until you see them perform live! They are amazing in all levels...the cyphers live is a good place to start...💜
I got me a little emotional watching this because of the way you were taking about them for me their music and their personality actually saved my life I was in such a dark place and when I found out about them last year it brought my self love back to me and made me more proactive in life
great video
Wow we greatly appreciate you dropping this info and breaking it down for us, it means it a lot 😁😁
The Love Yourself Era have a series of 3 albums that takes you through a story, you have to check them out . "They always remind us to speak and love ourselves " );
Self Love is important at all times
I sincerely enjoyed your perspective and analogy of BTS. Such a nice review coming from two young men who have recently discovered them. I really admire you. BTS is all about self love. So insightful; You caught onto that well. There beginnings were so humble and yet, they remain humble as mature young men today. I'm looking forward to more of your reactions.
You guys should react to the Bts cyper series 1-4 it's really awesome.
