I think you are one of the most informative knitting podcasters out there! I always enjoy listening to what you have to say. An excellent teacher, Kristine.
Very impressed by all the research you do for your show! I get completely immersed in the shows! I really look forward to all of your videos! I haven't seen one of them that didn't grab my attention from start to finish! It would be interesting to see more gift ideas since the holidays will soon be here! Can't wait for your next video!
Thank you for all of the wonderful gift ideas : ). I'd love another one! I'm thinking I'll make hats for my friends this Christmas & include a mitten soap for the fun of it.
Hi Sandra! I love that gift idea -- hats and the mitten soap. Your recipients are sure to love it! I'm putting another gift idea video on my list and will record it soon. XO
Love your show....I always learn something new! Funny that one of the gifts you had on todays show was a braclet with stitch markers. I am knitting a hat in the round while I am watching and needed a stitch marker....which of course was not anywhere near, so I am using my wedding ring! I immediately went to the sexy knitter and ordered one of her bracelets....and a few of her beautiful mini skeins!
Hi Karen! Well, that is an ingenious solution to use your wedding ring! I'm glad you are getting one of those beautiful stitch marker bracelets so your ring can stay securely on your finger. :)
Well You have done it again my dear! I just went on and ordered me some bracelets from Smashing jewelry. My birthday is in September so this is my gift from my husband. He commented, boy I have great taste... I have gotten the bracelets and love them, I love how light they are. Thanks!!! Sally from Idaho on Rav.
Really enjoyed this podcast! Especially, learning about the Japanese Beetle...I have them all over my green and yellow beans! I will bring a jar of soapy water out to my garden tomorrow. Also, enjoyed the gift ideas....and would enjoy seeing more! Thanks for putting so much effort into these podcasts...they are so fun to watch.
This was more than helpful. Especially for those of us who know people that already have everything! Loved this! Thank you! My favorite was the knitting graph/design paper and the knitted gifts book! Please share more!
Hi Brandie! So glad you found it useful -- yes, that graph paper is fabulous, and even more so because it's free! :) I will record another video with more gift ideas soon. XO
Hi! My name is Sylvie, i'm french, i want to thank you for all your good ideas of gifts, so cute and useful for knitters. I'll enjoy new ones if you find more!
Great gift ideas! I'm off to order some mitten soaps right now! Thank you, Kris, for another wonderful episode. I'm happy to see you and to know that you are feeling well. You look terrific!
Hi! I just discovered podcasts today & so far yours has been my favorite❣️so much good information to knit along with . Sometimes basic knitting (i.e. Sock feet) is tedious, tonight the stitches just flew off my needles. I'm looking forward to your next one, thanks! Jane
My husband and I have been handpicking the Japanese beetles off our plants this summer. We go out 3 to 4 times a day. I don't like grabbing the beetles, so I wear gloves. We have really seen an improvement to our infestation. We make it a contest to see which one of us catches the most beetles!
Thanks for all the great gift ideas! My DIL and I exchange a knitting package each year and it gets difficult coming up with ne ideas. I will be checking out some of these.
Hi Kristine, my name is Krista. I loved the gift podcast! Yes, please have another gifting video. I think they're great. You just mentioned doing a segment on cotton yarn. I would LOVE that! I am always wondering what the differences are and how varied the yarns can be from each other.
Hi Krista! Thanks so much for your comment. It looks like I'll be doing another gift idea video soon. :) And I'm glad you're looking forward to an episode about cotton yarn. XO
I am so glad I have found your videos. I am learning so much. Do you have additional sites to follow? Is there a pattern for the little monkey sitting in the background?
I heard about your podcast on "Off Our Needles" podcast today. I really enjoyed your gift suggestions as well as other info you shared. You are a good podcaster!
I love your podcasts, I learn so much from them. I learned how to make socks with the EaSY PEASY sock pattern by Stacy Trock. It is such a fun pattern. I have made 3 pairs so far.
Joe's Toes 👍 - a practical gift idea (for me)! Felt soles or suede soles? That was a choice I'm not 100% sure of the difference (Indoor vs outdoor / slip vs non-slip?). I for one am looking forward to seeing your completed Joes Toes slippers.
Hi Paul! I got the felt soles (not sure of the real difference between them either). To tell you the truth, I'm kind of itching to work on those slippers, so I might have to do that this week. :)
I live in TN on the plateau and the beetles have been terrible and sprays only work if sprayed directly on them. The plants most effected are my roses and green beans.
Hi Dawn! Oh that's too bad. I don't have any roses, but that is one of their favorite flowers. And my neighbor's beans are just covered in beetles, too. Hopefully they will die down soon. XO
I live in Plainfield, Iowa and have a White Birch Tree in my front yard which I had the Iowa State Extension come look at my tree because I thought it was dead. They said no, it's not dead, it's that the Japanese Beetles had eaten all the leaves soo early in the season. What a pain!
Hi Allison -- we are almost neighbors! :) Yes, those beetles were so bad last year. I think one benefit of our horribly cold winter this year is that it probably killed a lot of the beetle larvae, which hibernate underground all winter. Hopefully this summer will be more bug free. :)
Hi Amber! Well, I'm not a crocheter, so I'm not sure if you would use the same kind of stitch markers. But if so, then that bracelet would be great for that. XO
Amber Culver I think that those markers will not work for crochet. I believe that those markers are on little rings that you put on knitting needles. The ones that work for crochet would be the markers that are on lobster claw clips because those can be attached to individual stitches.
I love all of these ideas!! Yes please show us more! Go to Stitch Diva's web site she has a beautiful necklace that is a row counter. Also could you possibly showcase some fiber farms that are open to the public? I know of one that has Alpaca and guests can go and make a felted item I'll add the link in a separate comment. Thank you for working so hard to glean all the info and share with us. I am completely fixed on your vidcast from start to finish every episode!!
Hi Kendra -- thanks for those suggestions! I might have to get a row counter necklace to show on a future video. And I've thought about going on a field trip to a fiber farm. I'll have to see what I can find around here. Thank you for watching. XO
I have tried to download that great Laylock knitting Doodle paper but for some reason it's not working for me, when I try to open the apparently downloaded PDF it says invalid format file or empty file etc anyone have an idea why?
Hi -- I don't know why it wouldn't work. I just tried it and it downloaded for me. Maybe someone else would have an idea why. Sorry you haven't been able to get it to work.
Kristine Kelly thanks so much for replying I sent the link to someone else to see if they could download it, they saved it to gmail drive and it's worked now :)
I think you are one of the most informative knitting podcasters out there! I always enjoy listening to what you have to say. An excellent teacher, Kristine.

Your haircut is amazing. It looks so good on you!
Loved these ideas! Cute socks in worsted weight!
Hi Britni -- thanks so much! XO

Hello, and thank you for your comment. I'm going to do another gift idea video and will record it soon, so keep an eye out for it. XO
I just got a notification from the Sexy Knitter that my order has been shipped!!! Wow!!!! What great service!
I ordered a Smashing Jewelry bracelet- You are an enabler :) (but Thanks!) I really like to see new/interesting products for knitting.
Hi Ann! Enabler here... haha! I hope you love your new bracelet as much as I do mine. XO

What a terrific video!
Thanks, Martha. ♥

Hi Raschelle! Oh my, that's a lot of work, but it sounds like it's paying off in bug reduction. :) Those beetles are such a nuisance! XO
Thanks for all the great gift ideas! My DIL and I exchange a knitting package each year and it gets difficult coming up with ne ideas. I will be checking out some of these.
Hi Diane! I hope you are enjoying the lovely lake and the summer. Oh, I'm so glad you got some good ideas for the holidays. :)

Hi Carolyn -- glad you enjoyed it. I'll add another gift idea video to my list and record it soon. XO
Great video---I enjoyed your gift ideas. Novel approach to a knitting podcast. I subscribed.
Hi Beth -- glad you did. Thanks; I was going for something different. :) Thanks for watching. ♥
Ooh. I need to make my own knit marker bracelet!
Hello! Sure -- that sounds like a great idea. :)
I am so glad I have found your videos. I am learning so much. Do you have additional sites to follow? Is there a pattern for the little monkey sitting in the background?
The collar clip is adorable. I am old enough that I would call it a sweater pin
Debbi Houtz that is exactly what I thought when I saw those pins! Sweater pins!
Hi Debbi -- oh my gosh, I didn't even think about that! It would be awesome for holding a cardigan together. XO
You are the best.
Thanks, Louise. XO
I heard about your podcast on "Off Our Needles" podcast today. I really enjoyed your gift suggestions as well as other info you shared. You are a good podcaster!
Hi Diane -- I just saw your comment today. (Sorry I missed it before.) Thanks so much for your kind comment, and thank you for watching! ♥♥♥

Hi Fiona! Glad you enjoyed my video. I'll do another one on gift ideas soon! ♥
Are the stitch marker bracelets good for crochet too?

P.S. was that the bridge used in the movie "Bridge of Madison County"?
I saw the movie years ago, but I don't remember that bridge being in it. :)

Iong ago? Thanks in advance. 🐨👍🏼
