Fun Fact : This arc was originally gonna be part of season 5 and one of the reasons you can tell is that Palpatine is still voiced by Ian Abercrombie & he's in his seasons 3/4 outfit, they even had scenes from this arc in the trailers & earlier tv spots for season 5, but they ended up pushing it to season 6 instead.
The assassin was Embo, he appeared in the Bounty Hunters and Kidnapping the Chancellor Arcs. Dooku said he was second only to Cad Bane in the Bounty Hunting Occupation.
The long faced aliens are the same species as Darth Sidious 's master. The one he killed in the his sleep... To give you a visual of what he looked like
Don't tell me you guys forgot about tekla She was the character that was showcased in the episode that tells the government to worry about the little people I was sad to see her killed
this whole video i was like i know that clovis voice actor but can't place him. he is actually the same voice actor that voiced the prophet of regret from halo 2. lol
It really is _a complete mystery_ (((who))) the Muun are inspired by from the real-world. Sometimes, like with Watto and Nute Gunray, Star Wars can be _hilarious_ in terms of it's approach to channelling world cultures into it's designs. Blatantly using female Cambodian and Thai styles for Queen Padme Amidala's headdresses and make-up in Episode I is one thing; making the archetypal English gentlemen more often the smooth criminals (see Dooku, see Palpatine) is another thing. But the Muun are straight up...on the nose.
Sorry for being so late, yesterday was a bit hectic. Season 6's second arc is off to a pretty crazy start. We're getting another look into the political side of the war with what's going on with the Banking Clan in this arc. It seems that trying to profit off of the war by playing both sides has backfired on them, if Clovis is to be believed anyway. Before we get in to the fun facts for today, I wanted to highlight that Palpatine is once again voiced by the late Ian Abercrombie. Like others have mentioned, this arc was originally going to air in season 5, but was pushed back in favor of the Gathering arc. So this arc is technically Abercrombie's final performance, despite airing over two years after his death. With that being addressed, let's move on to the rest of the facts for this episode. The planet this episode takes place on, Scipio, is the homeworld of the Muun species who run the Banking Clan. Interesting side note, Palpatine's Sith master, Darth Plagueis, was a Muun. The Muun species was introduced in Attack of the Clones during Count Dooku's meeting with the commerce guilds, including the Banking Clan and the Trade Federation, on Geonosis. The Banking Clan was represented by its chairman, the Muun San Hill. We get a few returning characters this episode, the first and most prominent being Padme's old friend Rush Clovis. We haven't seen him since his initial appearance in the season 2 episode "Senate Spy." We also get to see one of my favorite minor characters in Star Wars, the bounty hunter Embo and his pet anooba Marrok. The last time we saw him, he was working for the Hutts with Sugi, the leader of the crew he was part of in his first appearance (season 2, episode 17 "Bounty Hunters"), as well as Latts Razzi from Boba Fett's crew in the season 4 episode "Bounty" and nearly got killed by Darth Maul and Savage Opress before fleeing. Lastly we see Padme's handmaiden, Teckla Minnau, meet her tragic end in this episode. She first appeared in Attack of the Clones, but was first named in her initial appearance in the season 3 episode, "Pursuit of Peace." She is voiced by Anna Graves, the actor who voices Duchess Satine Kryze, among others. Well, that's all I can think of for this episode. Can't wait to see how this part of Palpatine's plan plays out. Hopefully I'll be on time on Thursday, see you guys then! 😀
Of all the bounty hunters that got introduced in this series I think people lean more towards Cad Bane as the favourite probably backed by screentime and of course it helps that he speaks english so he gets more meaningful dialogue. Personally though im definitely part of the Embo club since he's basically the bounty hunter version of Captain America
Fun fact: this arc was originally supposed to be part of Season 5, the episodes even had a public release schedule, and then two weeks before this first episode was supposed to premier, they were replaced by the Younglings arc. The chase scene with Embo snowboarding on his hat, was even released at either a Comic Con, or Star Wars Celebration, I'm not sure which one, promoting Season 5. That's also why Palpatine is still voiced by the late Ian Abercrombie here, eventhough in both "The Wrong Jedi", and the Order 66 arc, Palpatine was voiced by Tim Curry.
i dont think palpatine would ever try to seperate anikain from padme, since is basically the very reason anikain is getting away from the order. Some even believe that padmes love for anikain is emplified through palpatines manipulation.
Why the long face is definitely something Obi-Wan would say. 😂😂 Criticizing there only being men on Scipio was strange... The banks do not have the money.
Your argument makes no sense Star Wars being about “human struggle” or whatever you said ignores the in universe culture of the species it’s almost like applying real world logic to a fictional world doesn’t work huh

He was also in the Maul and Death Watch retaking Mandalore arc.

This entire season is Palpatine flexing on the galaxy.
LOL so true
Don't tell me you guys forgot about tekla She was the character that was showcased in the episode that tells the government to worry about the little people I was sad to see her killed
I legitimately DID forget that, I guess mostly because she was (as far as I know) only in one episode and I’m binging these reactions
Palpatine is an absolute genius. Everything is going according to his plan
Well if the ploy for Palpatine is or includes straining the relationship between Anakin and Padme, it’s working.

Embo is a Bounty Hunter. They hold any alligence. They just do their job.

Looking forward to your reaction to one of the only examples this show gives of Anakin being like movie Anakin, in the next episode.
Anakin def has bpd lmao
Definitely a "wedge" success for the Chancellor.
Yes it's Clovis return, he is still alive

The banks do not have the money.
Fun Fact: Darth Plagueis was actually part of the Banking Clan.
Idk wtf Anakins deal was at the start, but if he was MY husband that would have been immediate divorce 😂
Mission successfully failed.
Banking has always been a high pressure field of work, and most women prefer to deal with people. Nothing to do with 'patriarchy'.
Maybe in the real world lmao, this is Star wars
@@porteroglesby3001 And? Star Wars has always been about the human dynamic. That is part of the human dynamic.
Yeah it was a weird thing to say

@@murderofcrows5089 Have fun with that delusion.
