Jasmine, this piece by Paganini is a long way from being my favourite kind of music. I'm not a musicologist, but it seems clear enough that he intended it to be a firework display. Your performance here is a dazzling firework display. To my ears it was very expressive. Thank you, and I hope you have a very successful career.

The technique she's using at 3:10 is a "tuh-kuh" technique with the tip of the tongue and the back of the tongue. Very difficult to master because your fingers have to move at the same rate as the movement of the tongue. She does it so flawlessly.
as a flute student i think that she would give more sound at 3:10 's double-tonguing, we must do what the score says but, interpretation is not reading. Grate performance :)

Angela Guerrero same, I play violin and flute, and I think flute is easier. Honestly double tounging isn't that hard, though sometimes the "kuh" doesn't come out as accented as I would like it to.

금난새 지휘자님이 인천시향에 계실 때, 인천시향과 같이 모짜르트 플루트 콘체르토 1번 해 주셨을때요. 그때.. 앵콜로 이 곡 해주셨는데 기립박수 나왔었어요(같이 기립한 1인 ㅋㅋ). 너무 오래된 이야기지만 왠지 이 영상이 올라온 7년전 그때이지 않을 까 싶어 잠시 ㅋㅋ 추억에 잠겼습니다. 감사합니당 ^^

As a musician, I do not enjoy other instruments playing other pieces that was not intended for them, particular this piece. Always thought it sounded better on the the violin. But you Jasmine have put me to shame and I am sorry for having such a narrow minded view all these years. You are AMAZING!! I particularly liked the part at 3:12
Isaac Murphy I hear you, Issac, about playing in different instruments. I agree on that too- but as you know, sometimes some pieces are too precious that I cannot resist trying on the flute as well.. :)
Bach's double violin is another one. Although a little too mellow and harmonic than played on the baroque violins, definitely better than the screeching modern violins.

Amazing! I marvel at her ability but I'm not under the same pressure some may feel. I'm a senior citizen just learning to play so no expectation that I will ever be this good :) since I'm guessing it would require 20,000 hours of practice. At 2 hours a day it's about 27 years. That get's me into my 90's. Don't think all make it but I have a huge amount of appreciate for Ms. Choi and her dedication to making music we can all enjoy.

OMG!! You are really good, this would be a great challenge for you. Congratulations! I would like to ask you something that has been surrounding my head since I heard of it. In one class, we were talking about contemporary music and this came up, a concert for flute and heart, that is supposed to be played with a flute (of course) but at the same time with an stethoscope that is hearing the flutist heart. That's all what I know, the theacher didn't remember the name nor the composer. so the question is, do you know something about this concert? I've been looking for it for a while but I couldn't have found anything, I really would love to hear it. Thanks a lot if you know something and you can tell me. I always end up with coming back to this video. This is what I believe one of the legendary recordings.
i wish my fingers could move that fast in the upper octave! high notes aren’t the easiest to conquer in some instances.
