Trying Four Different Saddles on Mule Pancake

In this video, I tried four different saddles on my mule Pancake! Saddles I tried are my Thorowgood Compact GP, a Jeffries AP, Marciante Trail Saddle and an older Simco western saddle. The best fit was the Jeffries, and the worst fit was the Simco. Of course, we are just talking about static standing still fit, which one felt like it had even full contact throughout the back. I've been riding in the Throwgood Compact GP, which was an okay fit actually, but last flocked for a very wide well sprung Arab, then rode for a few years on a barrel Morgan, so I think it currently has a little too much rock in it, even though the gullet is the right size for her. Promising is the Marciante trail saddle, and today I went ahead and rode in the Jeffries. As you can see, she fussed with the boucher bit, so that's another for the reject pile!
