They should definitely allow These Keyboards . With keyboard you will never hafe a Chance against Controller etc.... But 90% play with Controller and still want an advantage to keyboard players
funny he should have stopped when they build the pyramids, so he could have seen the ramp, but sadly he was to focused on grinding world records, what a guy
Two things that helped me imensely in using controller that you didt do: Use action keys on controller as well Change the steering stick to the right one, so you can use your dominant hand I started very recently playing at all and it helped a lot
Its very unlikely that Wirtual will see this, but to anyone out there using controller for any racing games, please try to push the left joystick all the way forward or backward and just rock it left and right, it works way better than leaving the joystick centered.
For controller steering, in order to get smaller inputs, push the stick forwards then tilt it to a direction, itll make a nice wall to assist with steering
I kinda really want to see a snow car pro put a fair few hours into this map and just absolutely perfect it, think that would be incredibly satisfying to watch.
Yeah, time-wise they wouldn't be able to do that much more, but seeing them balance the inner tires perfectly on the edge through every corner between every possible speed-boost would be really satisfying.
3:50 When I'm playing trackmania specifically, I typically play with it in my lap. This is because it doesn't require me to sweat my balls off like others games. If I'm playing a game like siege or rocket league, I'm practically suffocating my controller with my hands whilst it's in the air somewhere.
I love how supportive the TM community is to each other, they just cheer each other on even if they challenged someone to beat their time. :Lot of games you challenge someone and if it looks like they'll win you shout "NOOOO!!" but wirtual just cheers granady on. SO much respect and support for tm players
5:28 I'm usually very right handed, but since gaming has always been wasd for me that's what I feel most comfortable with. Single handed even, so breaking with thumb...
i think that tipping over the edge a bit makes you go faster because the game recognizes it as your car going downhill, and gives the car gets a small and gradual acceleration which obviously adds up over a bit of time and causes the thousandths difference. I think.
Sort of, but it only works on an inside turn, so it's more like the effect of a banking where your down force allows for faster acceleration than while level.
4:00 Controller player since Bo2 Days here, I have 3 positions where I play. if im playing casual, Lean back and rest it on my lap, If im playing a drivng game, like trackmania or forza or assetto Corsa, I play with my wrists on my desk. My last position is when im playing siege, or Apex and trying to sweat, ill place my elbows on my desk and raise my wrists to right under my chin.
Very nice, but here is how to make cinnamon rolls: Ingredients Dough -1 cup whole milk, warm (110°F) (240ml) -2 1/4 tsp instant or active dry yeast (1 packet) + 1/2 Tbsp sugar -1/3 cup granulated sugar (66g) -1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted (76g) -1 egg + 1 egg yolk, room temperature -4 cups bread flour (512g) -3/4 tsp salt Filling for bottom of pan (optional) -4 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened (56g) -1/2 cup light or dark brown sugar, packed (107g) -1/2 Tbsp cinnamon -1 tsp vanilla -Pinch of salt Filling -3/4 cup light or dark brown sugar, packed (160g) -6 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened (85g) -1 1/2 Tbsp ground cinnamon -1/3 cup heavy whipping cream, room temperature (to pour over the rolls right before baking) (80ml) Cream cheese frosting -4oz cream cheese, softened -4 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened (56g) -1 cup powdered sugar (113g) -1/2 tsp vanilla Instructions For the dough: 1. Place milk in the microwave for about 35-45 seconds, until it reaches 110°F. It should be warm, not hot. You should be able to place your pinky in the milk without getting burned. 2. Sprinkle in the yeast and 1/2 tablespoon sugar. Give it a mix and let it sit for 7-10 minutes. It should get foamy on top which means the yeast is activated. 3. In a large bowl add the yeast mixture, egg, egg yolk, butter, and 1/3 cup sugar. Mix until combined. 4. Stir in flour and salt with a wooden spoon until the dough forms. If the dough feels too sticky add 1 tablespoon of flour at a time. 5. Knead your dough on a lightly floured surface for 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth (you can add it to a stand mixer on medium speed). 6. Transfer dough to a well oiled bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and a warm towel. Place in a warm area and let it rise for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, until doubled in size. You can warm your oven to its lowest setting, turn it off, and then place the covered bowl in there to help the dough rise. Filling for bottom of the pan (optional): 1. In a small bowl beat together butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. 2. Evenly spread it all over the bottom of a greased 9x9 inch pan. For the cinnamon filling: 1. In a small bowl combine the brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon until it turns into a spread. Set aside. 2. Once the dough has doubled in size, punch the dough gently to release air. Transfer to a well-floured surface and roll out into a 15x9-inch rectangle. Spread the cinnamon filling all over. 3. Starting from the longer side, roll the dough as tight as you can without tearing the dough. Cut off the ends, then cut into about 1-inch sections with a serrated knife or floss. You should get 9 rolls. 4. Place the rolls in a 9x9 inch pan. Cover with plastic wrap and a warm towel. Let it rise again for 40-50 minutes. 5. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350°F. 6. Once rolls have risen, uncover and pour the heavy cream all over. 7. Bake for 19-25 minutes until slightly golden brown. You want to underbake a tiny bit so they stay soft in the middle. Let them cool 5-10 minutes before frosting. For the cream cheese frosting: 1. In a medium bowl add the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Beat until combined. Spread over cinnamon rolls while they're still warm and enjoy.
3:38 I personally change from time to time. When I play trackmania or something else that I take more seriously, I rest it on the table. But if I'm playing casual stuff like single player games, I rest it on the lap and sit back.
On the first downhill, if you smooth steer a tiny bit (which you did on some of the runs) it gets less airtime. For some cars (Like Valley) its due to the car getting a slight nosedive. But for snow it almost has an airbrake effect which somehow lets the rear wheels keep traction without the need to go as much diagonal. And less diagonal is ofc less distance traveled, thus less time used to get to the finish
I was playing this the other day and I got so frustrated when I randomly yeet the car off the track but I knew you would make a video when I saw your record
I play with gamepad and I honestly find it more difficult to steer with the right analog/dominant hand. Over years of gaming you’d obviously become trained with left analog, but it is odd the dominant hand is not the preferred method for majority of people on gamepad.
Having a dominant hand itself is a mostly trained behavior, generally people have some small predisposition at birth but the reason your dominant hand becomes so much better than the other is experience using it.
Wirtual, Have you heard of analogue pressure sensitive keyboards? They can be setup to apply different inputs based on how far you push the key down, and how hard you press the key. I think it would be very interesting for a comparison like this.
Glad my physics knowledge gives me at least a miniscule advantage over even pro trackmania players XD. I thought as soon as I saw it not lose speed at 2:30 that the tilting car might be useable. Since you're getting some turning from driving one wheel along the inside of the turn (so the normal force is applying an acceleration to you around the turn), the car itself doesn't need to turn as much so you lose less speed - I should clarify I don't know if that's what's happening in-game, it's just what gave me the idea it might be worth trying. It's a similar idea to how banked turns on any racetrack work. The incline helps push you through the turn. Just applied more generally.

im sure you know this by now but when you play controller, if you need to be more practice you can push the stick up and then once you get used to that you can be very precise.
I rest my controller on my lap with the elbows on my chair's armrests while at my computer. If I'm playing on the PS4, my controller is on my lap if I'm sitting, or my arms are completely relaxed and it's around my waist if I'm standing
Use the twist axis on a joystick to drive a car. The control is way better. Small short twists, left or right make steering a car much more accurate. Once you try it this way you will never use a joystick any other way!
