I prefer oliebollen. The great thing about them is that you can eat them warm. I totally recommend warming them up in the oven if you have cold ones. If they gone a bit stale it really puts the life back in to them. Donuts usually already have frosting on them so you cant really do that which is a shame. So they have to be like super fresh to be good, so you always take a bit of a gamble I feel. Maybe thats less of an issue in America because people eat them all the time?
Hi guys I like your video vlog style.👍👍. About the donuts....let's repect the cultures. So American donuts are best, Dutch oliebollen are best, and keep them seperate. I love oliebollen but only between christmas and Newyear Eve. On other moments it feels misplaced. Real US donuts I can eat them every day.. And about Dutch animals...a guess the black and white Friesian "stamboek" cow. There is even a statue of it in Leeuwarden.
That's what ended up happing. Nate had this moment where he thought it might be a lost pet. Luckily Google confirmed it was wild and to be left alone. : -)
Just wanted to say I found you both a little while ago. You are hilarious together and always looking forward to your videos. Was telling my boyfriend that we need to meet up with them one of these days. You should get sponsored by a travel site bc I now want to visit every place you’ve been!! Can’t wait to see more from you. Cheers from Providence, RI!
Thank you! We are glad that you can find the humor in our videos! 😂 Let us know if you’re ever in Amsterdam and thanks for the support! We really appreciate it.
😉😊😊 a lot of stuff in the states are from outher country,s like hotdog hamburgers and so on because almost every one there came from europe so its normal that the take there own stuff and food in the years its chance a bit
Oliebollen were introduced in the Netherlands at the end of the Middle Agnes by Jews from Spain. Donuts are a sort of oliebollen introduced by the Dutch as olykoeken (cookies comes from the Dutch word koekjes, so oilcookies) in New Amsterdam (now New York). You could buty them with daalders (a Dutch word that later in the USA became dollar). As for the Dutch national bird: in the old days it was the swan, but in a recent election most of the Dutch voted in favour of the godwit (grutto in zDutc).
Ha, the Willemspark neighborhood. I was born on the border of the Willemsparkbuurt and the museum district (Koninginneweg). And really on the edge :-) I still think those neighborhoods are the nicest neighborhoods in Amsterdam. As for the Dutch animal, you will be surprised. But the European White-tailed Eagle was found here centuries ago. Came back naturally and is making a huge comeback. And for what it's worth: This eagle is slightly larger than the American eagle :-) A truly majestic bird. Common in the Oostvaardersveld, not far from Amsterdam. In the summer I can show you the best places where you can find them (it's possible now too, but it will be a bit cold in the near future) :-) By the way, I don't like oliebollen at all.
A Tom Pouce is not a dessert! It's something you eat during your coffee break!
How about both?
@@nateandkatrinadotheworld that's not commonly used

Oliebollen for the win! 🏆If only we could have them all year round! 🤩🧡
Right?! We'll just have to make them at home!
Make them yourself. Be prepared to have your house smell for a week after though 😂 my mom used to make them herself. They were sooo delicious.
Nothing beats a good homemade oliebol 🎉@@rmyikzelf5604

The dutch National animal is a lion
🦁
what happened to the hedgehog? I hope you didn't eat it by mistake? They are protected animals, you know?🤓
Haha, no hedgehogs were harmed. We had just never seen one in the "wild" before. We're sure he's hibernating somewhere nice and warm right now. :)
