A Canon is just a bullet without a gun. The cannon is the bullet casing. A primer get detonated on both but instead of an exposed bullet making pressure and spin on a barrel the bullet is deep in the casing and uses its caseing as its barrel.
@@ALtheSciencePal i would assume that after firing you would lose your position so you would not have repeatability after firing? Also, do you think that with a lot of use the barrel to trunion fit would loosen so that the barrel simply always tipped down?

Is there a way to tighten the cannon barrel at different arks in the carriage for aiming?
The trunnions fit tightly (but smoothly) in the carriage which allows you to elevate the barrel without having to "tighten" anything.
