I am thrilled to hear art deco is making a modern return. I have art deco touches throughout my home. I have quite a few pieces of artwork from Erte and that started my love of this design. I used to have a lot of rich jewel tones in my home but most recently decided I needed a change and now the palette I chose was black and gold and white. Lots of metallics and the artwork is the pop of color. Can't wait to see this new art deco style being shown in future videos.
I love all top 4 interior design styles- the woods, the furs, the rustics, the mid-century modern and the post modernism with all its colors. Love it!!!
Organic Modern, for sure. I'm building a home in the mountains of Arizona. Modern Organic is a perfect extension/expression of the modern desert chic I long for.
Definitely love modern colonial. As a lover of traditional design and architecture I feel that it’s so timeless and classic. I love crown moulding and panelling and ornate frames on my walls. I don’t follow trends but rather what makes my heart flutter. As a lover of Paris myself I love their aesthetic and I feel it ties in with traditional as well as a bit of the art deco. ❤
Love Gwyneth Paltrow's home! New Colonialism. Thank you for your "straight to the point" videos. Professional, informative. I've enjoyed following you.
Hi, love this video. Question, are the wooden Hans Weger Elbow Chair and/or Shell Chair and the Paul Hennigsen Artichoke Pendant Lamp out of style? They seem kinda organic and mid century? Or have I got it wrong?
Organic Modernism. I especially like it with a coastal or Pacific NW twist. My favorite style is what you have done in your home, Nina. Would you call it Classical Modernism perhaps?
I’m surprised she didn’t mention Frank Lloyd Wright and the mid century modern when showing the photo of a home that is clearly not organic modern. It’s mid century modern, there’s no reason for making up a new name of a style that already exists.
Yeah, I find that she makes up so many different labels of styles of design and I find that not necessary for designing a home. It comes across as being uneducated and trying way too hard to convince other people that they should have ONE SINGLE DESIGN LABEL for your home. No ma’am!
I hear ya! We just moved to Williamsburg (right by Colonial Williamsburg) after decades of living in NYC and Arlington. Our house is a combination of new colonialism and modern. Unfortunately around here so many people go overboard in the Colonial Williamsburg style with Windsor chair this or chippendale that. While some of that is nice (especially the Windsor chairs), it is wayyyyy overdone in this area. So I made sure our home had plenty of modern furnishings with that new colonialism look. No chippendale or Queen Anne’s here 😁
currently i would pick postmodern .. it is fun unexpected & whimsical.. i am loving the postmodern section of design within reach!

From the way you explain things it is clear you are passionate about interior design and have an excellent professional eye for design

Love that! ❤
Art Deco! Please link info on John Louis. And perhaps a good source for art deco decor, especially lighting.

Thank you, so glad to hear that!
I will have to go with New Colonial for the overall architecture of my home. And with minimalist Mid-Century for the interiors.
I think it's awesome you love leather so much ! I think you have a gorgeous collection of leather pants ! 😍
Thoroughly enjoyed this episode Nina. My favorite is the organic modernism, but there were features of each style I liked. Have a good week❤❤.
@2:10 This is the ONE for me... *I LOVE IT!!!* Thanks so much, Nina...💗💗💗

Modern colonial. Love the outfit, the pants are 🔥
With loads of money you would definitely be my designer!
Love you Pat!!!
I love your videos ❤
So hard to choose a favorite! Would love for you to do a more in depth video on art deco like you did for modern colonialism!
Art deco for me
What is the difference between art deco and mid century modern?
Modern Colonial
Organic modern and modern colonial ❤
It would be A soft feminine art decor.
Are we still down crown moulding in 2024 and beyond?

art-deco with more neutral tones
New or modern colonial 💓
So is it "Modern Colonial" or "New Colonial"? and maybe drop the "ISMs"... too soon.

New Colonialism. -- maybe because I live in VA

Too many specific styles, l love a healthy mix, makes it more homey..
You look so uncomfortable on that Mario Bellini sofa. Looks like you are sitting on a block 😆
Too many transitions in this video, mostly unnecessary.
Yes. I agree. Love content, but it was unnecessary and oh so fast!!! Made be dizzy. Love you though Nina. 😊 just saying
Modern colonialism.
Definitely art deco! Have loved it since childhood and am actively adding elements of it to my new home ❤
Thank you for sharing❤️
