- What do you mean, I just lost a file? I got it back because of backing up my work like you should too, and like I should be better at. No judgement, though, let's just examine our options before this First Wednesday live chat descends into delicious chaso once more.

I appreciated your comment that Google Drive, iCloud, OneDrive, etc., are for syncing, not backup. I've been relying too much on those cloud accounts. So today, I formatted a second external hard drive for Time Machine and for general backups. Thanks for the kick in the butt.
Yay! Although you have put me to shame. Following the live session, the only kick I gave my own butt was to have extra tea.
Hello. I was a bit late today and could only watch the recording and not the live show. Backup is a key issue for me because losing manuscripts, illustrations or cover art due to a hardware failure would be a disaster for my writing projects. I use a combination of NAS -> Timemachine and iCloud to back up my data.
Goodness, yes: artwork, I can’t imagine losing that. If I were able to make it, that is.

Sorry I had to watch the recording. I had to be in bed early in order to make it to a lunch at our favourite local Chinese restaurant today. I look forward to hearing more about writing on the iPad. I suspect it will be a huge benefit to me in the coming weeks.
