As an older millennial, not in the housing market, with no bank of mom and dad to turn to, who was almost at the point to purchase a home... Untill Trudeau ripped that dream out from under me. The worst part is, i own a framing company, and build these unaffordable homes everyday.... Makes me sick! Pierre gives me hope, as a fringe member of society with unacceptable views...

@@Chaoitcme How was Harper bad though? I hated him as a teen too, but looking back, there isn't nearly as of a huge list of horrid policies as with Trudeau. There was the oil sands (which made Canada billions), a pipeline (safer than trains), park ranger water monitoring removed from many lakes/streams (cost cutting a bloated system), and some issues with the indigenous (actual concerns but when has any federal gov done anything major for indigenous since the 90's?).... Trudeau has had all of those, and multiple scandals, and his policies are actively hurting Canada's economy and draining citizens bank accounts....

Pierre voted against building additional housing both times, and also ran the TFW program in 2015, flooding the market with cheap labour, and then sensing em all home right before Trudeau was elected.

We shouldn’t just axe the carbon tax but should axe a lot of the other taxes on gas. We have gas as a natural resource so why do Canadians have to pay any tax on gas. Make the other countries that don’t have gas taken from their land pay the taxes. Start refining gas more in Canada.

Pierre, are you willing to decrease housing prices? What % of value should we write off?
Either home prices should go down, or disposable incomes should go up, or some combination of both, there is no other ways around to fix affordability.
You have to know, that no private company will ever increase supply in the anticipation of price decrease. Arbitrary migration targets are simultaneously increasing demand and suppressing wage growth.
If you think the house builders are controlling this you need to study economics.
Voters are expected to be DUMB enough to think that the wealthy conservatives who control development and the rental market and own multiple properties will happily accept lower property values and lower rental returns….cause PP tells them too. 😅
