If lets say I have a fire weapon then in order to maximize its damage what would be better to upgrade, the earth ability that boosts damage of all types or the fire ability?
what about darkness element? (technically we don't REALLY deal it but from the quest a journey beyond we have to learn the darkness element to fight the mobs in se)

Both work, but it's better to upgrade strengh since it increases the overall damage

ele defs don't matter
They do matter if you have like -300 ele def cuz you'll recieve true damage
