    I made mine out of Masonite, cutouts the size of the marker nib at the outside and inside edge of the roadbed and one for the centre, got the idea from a guy on UA-cam.

      I don't draw them. Generally I only worry about transition curves if I know the model railroad Is large enough to need them. Generally however Nothing I build is large enough to pull trains long enough that it would be of any benefit.
