I started graduate school with an interest in speech and hearing. I am still highly interest in both, but I knew I wanted to be an audiologist and learn more about how the ear works during an anatomy and physiology lecture. When the professor explained how the ear differentiates loudness levels, tears came to my eyes because I thought that was the coolest thing! Hearing loss has a large impact on people’s lives and I love being part of this profession that makes a difference.
