I caught one of the early study stripers. Had a white tag and ended up in suisun bay. Believe the fish was tagged in the spring and ended up near concord by the fall when I caught it.

Hi Jay, sorry for the late reply. Thanks for your comment and interest in this study. In this video, there is data / a map showing how far the fish have traveled to the ocean. We’ve gotten reports of re-captures out in the ocean just beyond the San Francisco Bay. We’ve also written a blog on how the study works on our website. Cheers!
The answer to your question Jay is how far the fish spend in a hatchery tanker before they are released into the stanislas river, the san joaquin has zero water in it for 60 miles starting just south of firebaugh.
There are no salmon or trout in the San Joaquin river, the river never makes any connection to the ocean because at least 40 miles of this river has had zero water in it for the last 50 years, not only that but I just talked to a fisheries biologist last month at the friant hatchery and he said they have not stocked trout below friant dam in the past 3 years because the trout could be praying on the salmon, me straight face, what about all the large mouth bass in the river? Fisheries guy, " there are bass in the river?" Me, yes, been catching them for the past 20 years, I just hung up the phone, oh you guys are something else. Have fun with whatever it is you think you are doing guys.
what do you mean? fish and gaming are a fraud, thery dont stock release fish anymore, they just collect fishing fee yearly. ever since made up shit( covid 19 ) people becane even lazier more laid back. . i m hoping that youbpeople start restocking fish all over califormia,
San joaquin, why did you guys post this video? You already know the SJ is complete toast, anyone who eats a fish out of that river can become very ill, farmers are not going to ever give up a multi, multi, billion dollar boondoggle, why do you guys even have a job? You are not going to help anything at all ever and you all know it, wtf?
