      Well im not a feminist nor do I consider myself a traditionalist but I will say I did have an experience with my daughters father of an abusive relationship that I just threw myself into. Because within the first year it seemed he had all the core values I looked for in a partner. He wasn't the best looking but to me personality and how a man carries himself is a key. Same for me I'm a confident, self assured, well rounded, funny kind compassionate, caring, understanding woman who has seen her fair share of trauma problems and issues in her life. Dealt with adversity as the next person but I never let it define me or get me down. Even with disabling health issues too I always took every day with a smile and one step at a time. I try very hard not to judge no one cause its not my place nor my job to thats for God. But the moment I found out I was with child he changed, he became emotionally and mentally abusive. He left me to die in a hospital while carrying our daughter while i was pregnant. This was due to my breathing disability We made it but caused more abusive tendencies towards the end of our relationship to get physical. I gained the confidence and courage after 5 years of it all and realizing that my daughter ment more that I what I wanted in a man didn't matter it was what I needed. And I took a whole year for myself. But God had other plans and a very good friend of mine who's brother I went to college with ended up being the very person who was needed in my life 12 years later, married with two more girls and it's been a great relationship. It has its ups and downs but that I can honestly say from our everyday things we deal with but as for us we are happy together. I never thought honestly that my best friend would be the best partner I could have hoped for and I'm looking forward for 12 more years and beyond with him.

      Nice: pleasant; agreeable.
      Kind: having or showing a friendly, generous, and considerate nature.
      These are practically interchangeable. I would be hard pressed to describe a quality found in a kind person that would not also be present in a nice person, and vice-versa.

    • @Myself-im9xi
      @Myself-im9xi 5 місяців тому

      @@ryanwilhite You said it in your definitions... "Agreeable" which means "yes man" who goes along with your delusions. A Kind person will not, because it is kind to not further your mental illness.

    • @MissTaelus
      @MissTaelus 5 місяців тому +65

      @@ryanwilhite no, the difference is subtle but important. "Nice" involves agreeablity which requires that the person being described is ready to submit to others. Kind just means that you are sympathetic and helpful, but not automatically submitting to the whims of others.

    • @ryanwilhite
      @ryanwilhite 5 місяців тому +5

      @@MissTaelus There are instances where agreeability wouldn't infer niceness. For instance, letting someone put themselves into a dangerous situation, which you knew was preventable beforehand. You could agree with someone who says they are worthless and should end their own life. That isn't nice. Also, on a related note, are you familiar with the concept of malicious compliance? It is when you would agree to do something, even though you have the knowledge beforehand that the desired outcome would not be achieved by following through with said order or request. Not to mention, "willing to agree to something" is not the only definition of agreeable. Considering all of this, it's more likely they were referring to the "enjoyable and pleasurable; pleasant" definition of agreeable.

    Now this is a woman who was raised by great parents

  • @RevolverPicturesYT
    @RevolverPicturesYT 20 днів тому

    Discipline is so hard to keep up. I was a *very* disciplined kid. My dad was a disciplinarian and I had self-imposed routines where I'd come home from school and before even going upstairs where my bedroom was I'd sit at the kitchen table and do my homework start to finish. Sometimes it would take hours but I wouldn't stop until i was done. Sometimes that meant staying up past my usual bed time just to finish homework, go to sleep, and do it all over again. I ate healthy, I was active, my mile time was 6:45, I always got 8 hours of sleep if homework didn't stand in my way, and I was literally never late to class once. As soon as I started college, the make-your-own-schedule thing allowed me to be more flexible and wake up when I liked waking up, rather than at 6am. Little by little my healthy, disciplined habits wore off. I didnt get up early enough to pack a lunch so now I'm getting McDonald's for lunch, etc etc. Now I'm 28 and a lot of my discipline is still in tact. I made a short film completely by myself that I spent every weekend (and many work days) for a year and a half working on. I wanted to relax and take weekends off but I knew that I had to keep the momentum up or I'd give up. Now I'm doing the same thing with a handful of games I'm developing simultaneously. But my wife wants a kid soon so I'm reflecting on how my parents raised me and its motivating me to be better. I want to start working out and eating healthy. Social media and smart phones are massive wastes of time, and they cause envy, and greed, and lust, and little by little they chip away at our own discipline for ourselves, so step one is cutting that stuff out... Guess I should stop posting YT comments lol.
