Our personal favourites are Basilico, the Line and Embu for the desserts selection, however stay tuned, we recently went to Rise at Marina Bay Sands and South Beach Kitchen (JW Marriott) and they are pretty good too (though with some South East Asian flavours in some of their cakes)!

I wonder if this channel’s producers have gotten paid to promote these buffet outlets? Or they were given free buffet meals in exchange for this glowing promotion? If the producers have PAID cold hard cash out of their own pocket for ALL the buffets mentioned here. I’m more likely to believe their review. If not, it’s simply a paid or bartered social media advertisement. I’ve tried them all. Most are really good, especially Embu & Basilico. The buffet at JW Marriot South Beach is very good too.

@@plenaandco It’s great to keep things positive, I’m all for it. But then that’s NOT a fair and balanced review. if you are only pointing out the pros and leaving out the cons. If it’s all pros, then it’s a (paid/ bartered?) advertisement. Don’t get me wrong, I agree that most of these buffet places feature are really good! The different oyster selection (Fines de Claire, Irish, American, Canadian, etc) at Embu is amazing. Same with Basilico’s cheese selection - they have an entire ROOM selection of cheeses. I guess, people are searching for honest, balanced and fair reviews. More like Google reviews… you’ve got the raving good, not so good, bad and down right ugly reviews. There is so much fake-ness, catfishing, misleading social media posts; many disguised as genuine reviews or recommendations, when they are in fact, paid advertisements, collaborations, etc. If it’s a paid advertisement or a bartered deal which the featured places, then say so. Don’t use say it’s because you only want to show the positive ‘reviews’ and don’t want to tear any business down. It sounds so disingenuous. And ppl can see right through it…
