Galicia can be fun as long as there aren't 64 snipers. It gets crazy fun if a majority plays the ground game b ut hey, that's pretty rare.
When you realize Galicia is also the name of a province of Spain.
Galicia is one of my favorite maps.
I LOVE artillery trucks.
I don't camp in spawn I PTO with it.
I think if I JUST PLAYED Galicia I my KDR would double in a month.

The problem with tripwire bombs are the grenade spam, people nowadays just throw grenades everywhere. The damn thing can't even survive for long before getting blasted.
Xplosio Lee a lot of the time its the players fault for running into them if u know someone is around a corner or something like that then u run in to try kill him coz ur rushing in like a noob then its your fault for dying to a grenade yesterday I was playing medic I had the grenade launcher there was a support assault and Scout right next to me on one of the new maps the flag was under enemy control we were all that's left so the enemy came upstairs around the corner so we shot and throw our grenades that was there fault they could of taken us out in many different ways but they all run in like noobs

even if someone runs into your tripwire and takes the full damage, they can still survive so maybe try get the kills on hardcore. im sure one would kill an enemy. only thing about hardcore is the friendly fire being on lol .good luck to you bro.
It's a fucking nightmare. Even in hardcore it's not a 1 hit kill, i already have 3 service stars in my mosin nagant, yet can't unlock the fucking marksman variant. The only way i can do it is to find distracted players, place the mine next to them and shoot them once with the pistol. Still have 7 to go....

Jacob Vasiloff Hardest dlc assignment in battlefield history. People usually aren't dumb enough to step on the tripwire plus it doesn't even do full damage. I wish it was the inc version.

I just sneak up on people, place a tripwire bomb on them then shoot them with the mars automatic. Usually they run over it. Playing domination helps as well.
In the way of Easter Eggs on the new maps, Lupkow Pass has the Yeti from previous games roaring somewhere in the background.

I think Galicia is great. The flat open terrain gives you an awesome feeling when you and your team are pushing an objective and you can see the other team getting mowed down and your team taking ground.

I love defending on the Galicia map in Operations. When I get a good team that doesn't let the enemies walk through us like we don't exist it's just so satisfying. More satisfying than defending on any other map for me.
P.S. I'm in love with the Model 1900 Slug and the MG 14/17 Low Weight.

Been trying for it for at least 4 hours and currently at 2/15 kills...
CapNxCrunch25 go tdm use the Mars automatic. Put the tripwire in high traffic area and stand in front of it. Shoot at enemies and then run away, baiting them into your tripwire. It's easy this way
CapNxCrunch25 I pay rush and put it by the bomb it works usually but it's just based on if the other team is dumb I need 3 more kills

The mortars are really effective if you spam them at groups of enemies but you have to to cancel the camera track of the mortar to see your close surroundings

for the tripmine kills go on a hardcore server because there they do 100 damage
I was playing hardcore, and it still only did 72 damage. May have just been custom rules but I heard only bullets do more damage.

I quite like Galicia actually! It feels like a real battlefield. The openness makes it feel so gritty and vast, probably how the war in Russia would really be. I have really enjoyed sampling this DLC so far, and once those weapon changes make it into the base game, I am really looking forward to spending a lot of time playing BF1 again!

Had same problem if you go do iron wall operation you can get them really easily on the mountain they don't expect it. I also used the parabellum surppressive and it melts also easier to get so that helps.
Sethos I mean yeah some of them are total bullshit like the tripwire bomb shit, it gets really frustrating. But in generally i like the challenges, gives you something to do.

I think the flat open map is to get people to change their play style and make it more realistic, for example in ww I you couldn't choose where you fought and you had to adapt.
Yep agreed , having to change play style on the more open maps....more of an assault or support player so a bit of a learning curve

Legit, how do people find the LMG against planes challenge so hard?! All you do is use an AA Gun until the plane is disabled, then hop off and use the LMG on it.
It's finding open AA guns on the maps. Everyone and their dog is trying to complete the challenge and no one is flying planes on the maps because they get shot at so much.

I think a good team work assignment for like the next dlc would be like "Get 500 resupplies". That would be a really good teamwork based assignment
A lot of these challenges can be done in the new game mode "supply drop". They seem to be more geard towards that.

Shooting morter strikes at the trenches in Galicia is the easiest way of doing it

I was quite fortunate, took me 20 minutes. Conquest on Monte Grappe. Aim for bombers being shot down by AA with Mg15 suppressive. Slow moving targets, easy to down. Good luck!
I arrived to the Battlefield franchise late so I came in playing BF3 but getting a shit ton of kills with an LMG with a bipod attached to it while beinf proned made me fall in love with the game haha

I really like the weapons in this DLC, just the assignments to unlock them are absolutely crazy. *15* Tripwire kills? *2* Plane destruction with an LMG? I just want my cool looking weapons, that you guys have put so much time into making, yet you make it so hard for us to use them for some reason.
Operations is so well done on the New DLC maps. Everyone digs into the trench and you break enemy lines using vehicles or you storm the trench. This is by far the best DLC I've seen in any video game

1am. Came back from cinema, saw "it". Watched this vid. "It" was soo good and creepy AF
If you still haven't gotten the trip wire kills here's what you do. Spawn as Assault and place an anti-tank mine. Your mine will stay there even after you're dead, so next redeploy as scout and stick your tripwire right on top of the mine. When there are chain reactions the item that went off first is counted for the kill so if someone steps on this combo it counts towards the tripwire challenge.
This map actually looks really fun. Stopped playing BF1 but this kinda makes me wanna come back to the game.
The one that takes forever is the Mosin Nagant Marksman with the tripwires

The airburst kills were the hardest part in my opinion. It took like 6 games to get them all whilst the plane kills i somehow managed to get in the same game if i remember correctly.

The only way to do most of the assignments is to have your friends on the other team to boost

A tip for the planes assignment:
Do it on a map with AA cannons.
I did it in operations mode on Ballroom blitz (as Defender).
Basically: either you or a teammate fire at planes with AA until enough damage is done, then switch to your LMG to finish the job.
I got this assignment done in 2 battalions. :3
The easiest way to get the MG14 is to get on an AA and shoot at planes until they're disabled and then hop off and spray the plane with your LMG until you destroy it. Took me two rounds to unlock with this method
Galizia is one of the best maps imo. So immersive, quite balanced. It could get frustrating yes, but i've never experienced such classic WWI gameplay on any other BF1 maps. Maybe night version of Galizia will solve some sniper/plane problems. Infantry combat was amazing.
A good way to get the tripwire kills is if you find a random sniper by himself on the outskirts of any map sniping far away from the objectives. Put the tripwire explosive behind him or to the side, shoot him once and he'll turn around and run into it. You should get the kill because he'll be low health from the gunshot. I've seen it done with the explosive so I don't know how effective the other mines will be though.

Jack, I got a tip for you about the kills with the tripwire bombs. If you play in hardcore mode the trip wires kill instantly and people won't look for it as hard as in the DLC maps. Hope it will help you ^^

Couldn't agree more about the tanks - If they aren't moving they are totally silent. even when firing I feel they make less noise then nearby footsteps.

I agree, next assignments should be "Capture 1000 flags to unlock this" or play 200 round on frontline to help bolster the player count. I got two plane kills with LMG but man It stopped me from playing how I like (capturing flags ect) and that sucked.

Supply drop has been how I've gained most of the explosive kills for assignments. And yes it has been lagging on console a lot.
Galicia is actually one of my favourite maps. I’ve only ever played BF4 and 1 but even between the two, Galicia is one of my favs. I always play recon, was never that great in 4 but in 1 I eventually got the aggressive recon down to a tee and Galicia is just a joy to play in that style.
I agree Galicia map is designed very poorly way too open not enough trenches and cover for other classes like assault, medic, support. It is a sniper heaven map.
Sending horses to the glue factory also counts as vehicle kills.
I donno, I think that there are too many machine guns in BF1. There just weren't that many on the battlefield in WW1. They keep adding more, and that takes away from how effective they really were. Because of this, you see as many machine guns as rifles in BF1, if not more.

Having gotten this gun, it's really worth it. You can take anything in a 1v1 as long as they don't have an Automatico.
Everyone makes a big deal about the planes. The way to do it is to just use the perino and go to town on planes in galicia or another plane map.
This is optional but when you get down to 20 bullets, or any but 0, reload to lessen reload time.
I got like 2 planes in like 3 mins.
The biggest thing is to live to shoot them down
My tip for the airplane kills is to camp on an anti air gun, disable the plane, swap to the Lewis gun and get some shots in to the plane. If they bail, you get the vehicle destroy or you shoot them down... Did it in one game... Hope it helps!
