Another cool fact is that it somewhat appears in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. Its owned by the leader of Magician's Four due to he having Dark Eradicator Warlock.
another funfact : there is an 6-stars xyz card in ocg, that was originally planned to become an alternative (female) artwork of our well known dark magician (simply dark magician girl in black armor), but that plan was cancled and the card wasr named *magi-magi magician girl*

It's because that green skin was the one used in the manga :/ the white skin version is the classic one and the most awesome one though :)

I grew up with the anime purple Dark Magician, so suffice it to say I am not the biggest fan of seeing the green skin dark magician getting all the legacy artwork when ever a new alternate art work pops up for Dark Magician, the anime purple Dark Magician is arguably one of the top 10 reasons the franchise ever became as popular as it is today, but nope it's the manga Dark Magician that gets to reap the benefits of the anime Dark Magician's hard work
The original dark magician will always be my favourite too :)

zachary scadura Actually, we don't know if that is his true ace, as like Yusei, who we thought Junk Warrior was his ace for a while until Stardust Dragon was revealed on the first episode. In fact I think that monster is based of Junk Warrior
