Very clearly put. I had always thought that "chance" or "luck" played a big part in football. I often hear a commentator praise the skill of a player who puts the ball in the top corner of the net, but the next shot from the same player goes 10m over the bar. I think the analysis that Rasmus advocates is entirely applicable to the business world. Did our business really perform brilliantly last year, or did chance and circumstance play a big part in the success. It is vital to look into this.
@@IWTBF no it's not pointless because there is other advantage you can get from shooting, for example, the ball can be rejected by the goalkeeper in the foot of one of your partner, who could put the ball into the net, or the ball can get touched by a defensiv player which give your team a corner.
@@IWTBF 3% may seem small but it's actually a significant amount when you break it down. Suppose they don't take a shot from outside the box when they're in a relative good position to do so (ie. nobody pressuring them down) - they choose instead to do something else - make another pass - how many of those decisions do you think result in goals? Probably not much more than 3%.
The feedback Rasmus has from this talks to companies including Google and SAP is exceptionally good. He consistently performs motivating company teams across the UK and Europe. Strong work again in Manchester.
I used to love my old Nokia phone; when a phone truly was for speaking to people. Now I carry my huge iphone with it's cracked screen and have had to get a bigger handbag! Thank you Rasmus, always fun and insightful.
this is absolutely fantastic presentation of football, recently I usually treat football as a trade, once Christian Ronaldo become absent during big matches it somehow favors the opponent against his situated team. The Map across the European leagues must be monitored as well as for other team might play away match respectively while others might play home. The fatigue and frustration become normal as the team move from home to away...and it's become worse if it's cold there plus participating fans... obvious the visitors will lose some tactics along the way and weather condition would be a very sufficient excuse for the visitors if they become lose the match.
Speaking nice is easy but really important is things people do. He owns a team in Turkey with crime history of fanatism, and they did similiar things last week. Although contacted him for that, he doesn't have courage to say evden a word. In the end you can talak nice and say big words, but you will be a great Man when you behave Gold.
Watching this video in 2023 when Expected goals, Expected points are mainstream statistics in football conversation and Brentford is in Premier League is like watching a time traveler. Also, guess someone in Newcastle watched this in time 😂
You should put (soccer) in the title next to football. Two very different sports analytics for one will yield vastly different results than the other. You also take a very shallow approach to the science by not being able to really break down the market endless variables each player reacts to in the course of a game. This presentation is a joke......Yes is really going downhill
Most of the world knows football as football, and not as soccer. While we Americans may think we are the center of the universe and everything should be labelled according to our understanding, in reality we are not the center of the universe. Your thinking is infact shallow.
Nice to see Karius got a new job.
LOLLLL
🤣
Rasmus and Benham are truly amazing.

Parliament Speakers 3% of shots outside of the box go in, so it’s pointless shooting from outside the box really

Another case can be that of Sheffield United, finished 9th during their first ever PL campaign and got relegated to tier 2 the very next season
Comically, like Newcastle their goal difference if I remember correctly was either 1 or 0. Same story on a different day apparently.

Wow! The way he has explained it is outstanding. Got to know a new side of analysis.

Amazing information.
And now, Brentford are in the PL and Newcastle are the richest club in the world.
And now United lost from another moneyball team and again people see the embarrasment of the big club and not the great job of the winner
Did someone ask you if Southampton would be relegated yesterday? What was your answer? I'm a Saints fan. Good luck next season.
Smart guy.
Nice information

Landy Flowers explain the shallow approach ?
because that's why he's doing very well!

Just shut up bro no one watches handegg except America
