When I see little Emily, running into her father's arms, with so much love, I see the heart of God himself. The pure innocence and abandonment displayed is inspiring. It reminds me of King David, who spent his nights worshipping God in the field with his sheep. He wasn't afraid to make a fool of himself for The Lord's sake. (2 Sam 6) Truly, we have the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, "Abba! Father!" (Rom 8:15) Or as little Emily so eloquently put it, "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" It's not a one way street. We teach the kids what we have to offer, but they have much to offer that we can learn.
