  • Short little dyno session with Kevin in his 2010 Camaro. He's tuning using HP Tuners and seems to have gotten it pretty close. If we spent a bit more time at the dyno and dialed a/f and timing I have no doubt it would just touch 500 rwhp. It wasn't the max number Kevin was after today though. He just wanted to make sure it was safe and consistent. Calculated flywheel hp over 550 hp is not to shabby!

I have been to that dyno with an LS3, cam headers, and made the exact same HP. BelAir and Paolo guys are the greatest.

Nice, I had very similar results with my 2011 GS Corvette. (495rwhp/453tq) TSP stage 2 cam, PHADT headers, 3" full exhaust, no cats, KN intake, factory ls3 intake manifold, ATI Balancer w/ 10%UD, so close to 500 yet so far!!! 😂

That's awesome! Can't complain at close to 500!! Except for the idea it would have been nice to get that extra 5! 😁

487 and 440 to the wheels is very very good my 2011 Camaro SS with a new GM performance LS3 495 horsepower crate engine with CNC ported and milled LS3 heads with a ZL1 fuel pump and injectors and a 102mm throttle body running on E85 made 430 at 6200rpm and 410 torque at 5000rpm at the wheels it has a one piece aluminium driveshaft and a Circle D 4200rpm lockup stall converter and a built 6L80e auto transmission stock 3.27 gears with 26 degrees advanced timing

What dyno were you on? That could be the difference. This was on a Dynojet dyno. The numbers this Camaro got were very close to what my friend's similarly setup Corvette did. Your 430 with an automatic is very respectable. How do you like your Circle D converter? I love mine in my '63 Falcon with Kenne Bell powered '03 Cobra engine.

@@PapaWheeliesWorldIt was a Mustang dyno it has very very touchy throttle response with the Circle D converter ran 7.22 at 96mph in the eighth mile with 1.65 60 foot times with only 6 passes and only 1200 miles on the new engine

Nice! Did you do custom tuning on it? Did you run the 1.65 60 ft on street tires or stickies?

@@PapaWheeliesWorld it got tuned on the dyno 305/45r17 ET street R on back skinnies in front black race star 17x10 wheels l think the front are 18x5 rear tire pressure was at 20psi when February or March get here it should have 1600 miles on it and l am planning a few more passes running 16psi rear tire pressure in hopes of running a 7.0 high 6.90s would even be better it had 5 runs on the dyno 3 runs naturally aspirated and and 2 on a 150 hit of nitrous it made 555 horsepower 535 torque to the wheels on a 150 hit of nitrous but it hasn't been used otherwise it made 430 with 26 degrees timing but timing is backed off to 19 degrees for nitrous the times l gave you are motor passes l think the car could go 6.60s-6.70s on a 150 hit car weighs 3920 pounds with me in it full interior and AC car cruises at 80mph at 2100rpm like stock it has a ever so slight chop at idle sounds very close to stock with a exhaust system stainless 1 7/8 long tube headers into a stainless 3 inch X pipe into 3 inch Flow FX mufflers that exit in the stock location it's not real loud has a rich clear clean crisp solid sound with no real big chop at idle this engine has a very broad torque curve at the crankshaft it makes 400 foot pounds of torque or more from 2700-6200rpm and a peak of 495 at 5000rpm and 475 or more from 4600-5400rpm it shifts at 6600rpm and does 123mph in 3rd gear at 6600rpm with the 3.27 gears the 11.1 compression ratio really helps make decent torque and horsepower even with a fairly mild camshaft

Well that'll be awesome to get some nitrous passes on it!! And yeah, I bet a little lower on the tire pressure will help a little.
