This song was in my recommended so I listened to it. The lead singer reminded me of something but I wasn't able to tell what it was until I checked other songs of them and I realised that 3 years ago I used to listen to them. I was in the middle of my pop punk phase and I was subscribed to Patty's channel. I used to love his covers and when he stopped uploading videos because As It Is signed Fearless I checked them out. I liked them but then my pop punk phase went to end and I started listening other types of music...anyway I can't believe that i've totally forgot about them in these 3 years😅 (also they look so different how the hell could I recognize Patty😂). Now that I listen literally everything (including pop punk) I found them again and after I've listened to this album I want to say that their new sound is amazing. I don't like so much their old songs, but I really appreciate their changing: bands usually goes more pop but this went more "emo"... I love it
I enjoy music from bands that give their bass guitar more sound over the drums and other guitars. Deep bass chords and higher vocals in my opinion give more feeling in a song.

Do you ever just hear your favorite song and feel safe but at the same time you want to cry because it’s so beautiful? That’s what this song does to me.
Now this is the emo I remember ✊
LOOTd not even emo
Nowhere close to emo. It's scene. *cringe
Nowhere close to emo. It's scene. *cringe
the emo I remember sounded less like this, but it's not that bad of a song.

The fact that this was made now in 2018 when there’s been so much awful music lately makes me so happy.
I just saw the video, klicked it,and found my new obsession.
Thank you.
If boys don't cry how come my eyes are streaming
Craig Simmonds Turns out, Boys always cried, the band The Cure were compulsive liars of the first order.

Dustin Bittencourt PREACH
Why is everyone saying how “emo is back”? Emo never left. I’ve been emo for years and I know tons of emos who are the same. And there’s been tons of underground emo bands. Emo music just hasn’t been popular for a few years that’s all. BTW IM STILL EMO AND IM NOT GONNA STOP FOR A FEW MORE YEARS!
And when I’m done with emo I’m just gonna be goth!
(back then)
It's not a phase mom, this is who I am!
(Present)
See mom, I told you so.
@@pyophyo8901 it do be like that
@@pyophyo8901 I went from "listening to this music isn't a phase, mom" to "wanting to be a musician isn't a phase, mom!" Next it'll be "being in this band isn't a phase, mom" smh
duncanistrash someone who actually knows the difference between emo and goth, scene, Victorian, exc.
♥♥THIS BAND RIGHT HERE IS FREAKING AMAZING THEY ARE LIFE! AS IT IS MY FAVIORTE BAND♥♥
This song is an emotional rollercoaster
Thanks to As it is for bringing emo back
I see a pain behind your eyes
I know you feel it everyday
It's like a light that slowly dies
But it's better not to say
It's better not to say such things out loud
Just close your eyes and bite your tongue for now
Don't let them see you fall
Stay strong, hold on
You've got to keep it together now
Just dry your eyes
'Cause boys don't cry
No-oh, no-oh
Boys don't cry
No-oh, no-oh
'Cause boys don't cry
You feel an emptiness inside
How it sinks into your soul
But it's nothing you can't hide
Just forget about the hole beneath your skin
That's swallowing the best of you with it
Don't let them see you fall
Stay strong, hold on
You've got to keep it together now
Just dry your eyes
'Cause boys don't cry
No-oh, no-oh
'Cause boys don't cry
No-oh, no-oh
'Cause boys don't cry
Keep it all inside, 'cause boys don't cry
Are those tears behind your eyes?
Nuh-uh, no! Boys don't cry!
Keep it all inside, inside
No, 'cause boys don't cry
Not until the fateful day you die
No, 'cause boys don't cry
No, no
Boys don't cry
No, no
'Cause boys don't cry
Stay strong, hold on
You've got to keep it together now
Just dry your eyes
'Cause boys don't cry
No-oh, no-oh
the fact that this is almost two years old.... this song means a lot to me and i’m so glad i found this band in 2018.
I like the meaning of this song, it says that guys are also humans too, they have feelings.
The military dude's facial expressions are hilarious
R W T he looks like an angry ricky gervais
This, still to this day, is the most heartbreaking music video I’ve ever seen in my life. It doesn’t make me cry, it makes realize why I shouldn’t.
the way that i blasted this for a month straight when it came out...
I'm a born again emo thanks as it is
This song was in my recommended so I listened to it.
I love it
I can't believe this song is two years old, I feel like it only came out yesterday 🙄🖤
I like the 2000's emo asthetic.
CheezWhiz Slut same it’s coming back finally
How does this not have more views???
You boys keep getting better and better. SO excited for this record.
This song always makes me cry for some reason
Saved my life more than once. Thank you As It Is.
I enjoy music from bands that give their bass guitar more sound over the drums and other guitars. Deep bass chords and higher vocals in my opinion give more feeling in a song.
*2018 EMO AGAIN!*
Rick Emotion YEAHHH
Yes please
Debate: Make Emo Great Again! (Cause it is)
What do you mean again? Its always been great. Its assholes who ruin it tbh >~>
Emo yes but not this kind of emo. Let this shit stay dead. More American football and less my chemical dependence shit.
Theres less than a handfull of things that can make me truly smile. music is one of them. amazing band. #bringbackemo

Dustin Bittencourt OMG Yes!!! I turned pop punk cause the Emo scene died for a while but I think its time to bring out the safety pins and eye liner! Long live Emo!!

Your inner emo voices are calling! Your hair is becoming darker as we speak haha.
I've been listening on repeat since I found it. I'm a very emotional guy, but I was raised to suck it up and be there for others. I've always been the one everyone goes to for help, so strength was my nature
I’m more straight up metal, but I gotta admit this stuff ain’t bad
Thank you Father!!
Satan has spoken 😂😂
Hail Satan
same i usually prefer heavier stuff but this is an exception i love his voice
Ayeeee hi Dad
I love this so much i can't even describe it. I like this band. One new fan added.
2021 and i still love this.

Alec Gregory
No I’m 29 and I was a teen when emo bands were popular and yes they remind of mcr look!
No...and I see that to..And im 48. So. No youre not.. You are exactly as u want to be...friend. fuck what everyone thinks
Alec Gregory it’s straight up revenge era!
I’m 14 and I know MCR, so don’t think everyone forgot about it
I'm 16 and love mcr
I can't get over this new concept I love it
OMG Emo is making a comeback!! I'm literally so happy, *runs to the bathroom, put on more black eyeliner*

Emo is back? :OOOO
Syahaz It was never gone, just hiding
Syahaz When did it leave??
It Never Died :)
Emo... Never left. Most of us just died to pop and mainstream stuff.
Inarai Ruairc I listen to this and pop
i listen to this daily. i love everything about it. thank you guys for keeping the conversation going♥️
holy wow i'm early to something. . .AND IT'S AWESOME!!!
Wow this is the first time I've listened to As It Is (though I've heard of them before) and I must say if all of their songs are of this one's quality then I may have just found my new favorite band
Hopefully this marks the comeback of emo even though this isnt a new band
I need a minute to recover... this was so good!
This is actually breaking my heart I’m crying
Katie Sugrue Good job you're not a boy ✌
Ry Hartley thanks, this video is destroying the stigma and the gender stereotypes put on guys and it makes me so proud tbh. 🙏🏻
I love how he says together at 1:48
Me, too. You can see the emotion behind the words he is singing.
2:09-2:30 my favorite part. It's powerful
I used to watch all of Pattys covers back several years ago, I went back onto his youtube page today and this band showed up, I am extremly pleased with this find

zac lol
2:45
Eyeliner on point
Not to mention you can see all that emotion and bent up rage, how strongly he feels about issues like depression. It's especially important how he focuses on the fact that even though "men are macho" they are still allowed to be vulnerable and cry and be depressed everyone feels emotion.
Starting at 2:08 is such a My Chemical Romance feel. I love it so much
I think so
Patty is the first person I’ve seen go backwards in time to the emo years, and I’m not even mad about it.
