Regarding the a/c and cooling the van we have found that by opening the pocket door we reduce the size of the space needed to cool. I do like your idea of putting some type of vent into the cabinet doors. Interesting that Embassy put them below the fridge but not in the doors.

Wait a sec... double sided tape?!? I can't get anything to stick to the walls... how you do dat??
How are you liking the Waggle? For some reason, the van seems cooler than what the Waggle says, but other thermometers I use are close to the Waggle. I wonder if the small space just makes it feel cooler?? Any ideas?
Never thought about testing the heat INSIDE the cabinets... interesting idea. Is it time for another spreadsheet? 😆
What was the temperature and humidity outside the van? Since our van is always outside on the driveway, I am battling 100 degree temps and 65% or more humidity on a regular basis. The heat generated from equipment doesn't seem to be a major issue, at least with those outside temps. I assume people up north (who think 85 degrees is hot!) have a much easier time with RV A/C systems.
One minor video note... your end screen showing the recommended video blocked off the text you had up at the end. You may want to move that around. Good video! Be seeing you!

@@RoadsofLife yea, it was about 95 humidity about 65%. I don’t think any 12v ac unit can handle a southern summer imo. I will let you know what brand of tape that I used. The Waggle works great, it’s consistently about 5c higher than the reading on the A/C unit.

Thank you for the video! We will be taking our first trip in an Embassy van this September. Would you be willing to share what you learned or did to mitigate all the heat in the pantry?

I will be adding 2 vents, one in each door. Probably will add a small, computer type fan in each. This should help exhaust the heat.

Great video! How did you mount the netting? Are they screwed in or double sided tape?

Ashley how did your fire start?

We had a cross threaded nut on one of the bus bar posts. That’s why it’s important to check the tightness of everything before each trip. Both with a wrench and wiggle the cable to ensure it isn’t loose.
