- Witness with the unique type of pride we only have in the islands as delegations from Chuuk, Yap, Kosrae, the Marshall Islands, Pohnpei and Palau join Guam for the Guam Micronesia Island Fair. Join us in extending the Hafa Adai Spirit to our guests as we share our cultures, histories, heritage, food, dress and love with our brothers and sisters from across the Pacific.
Language is the main identity of every race. Guam needs it desperately. Hope Chammoro becomes a household language.
I understand what you're saying. However it's "nationality" not "race".
iam Spanish&Guamian and yes Guam people speak their own language the Chamorro language& English!
@@joaquincruz4918not really.respect but I was raised in guam in the 90s and non speak the language just the older folks.but I think the older folks are gone today.havmt been back since 2000

Hafa adai.... Guam and Micronesia....
ISLANDER PRIDE💯💯🔥🔥🤙🇬🇺
I believe, "Thank you" in Pohnpeian is "Kalangan." & in Yapese, "Kammagaragar."
"Kalangan" in Malay is "kalangan" too, meaning among the people of a country (circle of Islands' republics.)"kammagaragar" in malay "kamar pagar pagar " meaning many islands of fences or boundaries or republics.
One love one heart
Micronesia Guam Saipan Palau Marshallese and all Pacific Islanders

Is this chamoru traditional dance? Wondering if there was linen back in those days
It is the neo-traditional style. Created to represent the pre-hispanic era. the cloth sash was probably added to represent the mestizo and Hispanic heritage of the Chamorros.
The linen is used to represent the Spanish heritage as well
It's a neo style. Not traditional at all.
Traditional dance of the pre-hispanic moors. "chamoru" in Malay "like a Moro nation" and in English a kind of Moro tradition from the south of the Phillipines (Mindananao and others)
Dont know why kiribati and nauru dont really get involve in this Micronesia festivals
But they are always invited to the polyfest in New Zealand.
Kiribati and Nauru are in the Malenesia group...
no we love everyone, Micronesian fair its really in Micronesia on the capital Guam, not pacific games..just saying sorry love yall 😘
@@tipangawal11 smh🤦♂️...
Bcs this is FSM island fair not micronesian as a whole
Nauru and Kiribati not Melanesian 🖕
I hope Polynesian watching this
From what I was taught being raised: AUTHENTIC Chamoru Lastname Linages are
Aquiningoc, Fejeren/Fejarang, masga, mafnas, quidachay, quichocho, quenga, quitugua, naputi, matanane, gumataotao, tainatongo, angoco, atalig, fitial, kaipat, taitingfong, taisague, tedtaotao, and a hand full of other lastnames.. The other lastnames which ARE infact "Chamorro" is of spanish/asian decent. Asain as in Phillipines lineage. I was taught that growing up and am shareing my input. "Dance" or "speaking" the languange doesn't justify if you're authentic. It's the BloodLine/Lineage. This is what I was taught and what I am teaching my kids. I love all Chamoru/Chamorro, Micronesian/Polynesian/Melanesians out there and respect what you may feel about what you think you may or maynot be. Remember, we all speak English but that don't make us of England Decent. Also, being born in Guam doesn't make you "Guamanian", in my opinion. That just makes you "Born in Guam". If I am Chamoru and my kids are born in West Africa, does that make them African...? Absolutely not. I speak of African because I do have African lineage decent in my lineage. My family is from the Roots of Humatak/Umatac and Yona and my family has been before Guam becoming colonized.
Micronesia island is good in Pasifik sea
01:18- 10:57🙌🏾
Guam Philippines best country 🔥
8:31 yall should've censored that shii bruh 🤣
You're the only one who has a problem with it.There's nothing wrong with that.Mindless bigot.
Umm... I was looking at Guam videos because I’m half Guamanian and the first guy has my same last name...
We need to start the English outside of the house, BUT Chamoru whenever inside the House. BIBA FINO' CHAMORU
Blondes with spike heels is traditional dress of Guam?
some of them looks like filipino in the philippines..
Why do u have to go there?
Nice show but none of that are traditional dances of Guam.
@manuel50618....Chamorro's are Pacific Islanders and a part of Micronesia so i'm sure we have an idea of what our traditional dances should be like, since dances of Micronesia,Polynesia,Melanesia show similarities and of course variations.
@@sagittariusone2753 Your ancestors did not dance that. Un respetu para i man'amko, pot fabot. Biba Chamorro. Biba Guahan.
Obviously..its like Hawaiian w Tahitian mixed up. I have no idea...does Guam have traditional dance or that's gone too?
Yes, Guam has Hispanic dances. Authentically Chamorro.
@@manuel50618 ....Aye Manuel ...We are Pacific Islanders and part of Micronesia,so we have to embrace that part of our Chamorro Islander Culture as well.
Chuuk gave a piece of stick
Guam is philipines
i've seen better Chamorro performances during my time then again i have to give this group credit they are trying to keep My CHAMORRO culture alive NEXT TIME HAVE SOMEONE WHO SPEAKS CHAMORRO AS MC
You sure that's the Guam dance or they just copying polynesian dances
they are same race as polynesians.
Guam just copying the Hawaiian dances.
they are the same race hawai and Guam in Pacific islands , if you go to Caribbean islands cuba and puerto rico dance the same music is not a copy is that is the same race.
@@mariajerez7667 Race and culture are not the same thing. All Europeans are the same race, thell any of them they have the same culture and next thing you know is you're dead.
Looks more made up too me 🤦♂️ the choreography got me rollin 😂
