I found out the hard way that experimenting with desserts can leave you re-inflammed and unable to use your painful thumbs and right arm and shoulder. Your guest experiments with not-carnivore foods and it will eventually catch up with him. I'm fasting myself back to pain free and lesson learned.

I blew my shoulder out 40 years ago and never got it operated on so I had problems from time to time. I went to Carnivore for 17 months now and within 4 months my shoulder was healed. Hip alignment can be fixed by daily hip stretching. Hip mis-alignment can cause back and knee issues.

I used to enjoy wine, and drank it a lot. Then I started to react to it with joint pain. I switched to hard liquor, basically a locally produced cheap, flavorless rum. So I was a heavy drinker for many years. I stopped craving alcohol when I went very low carb and don't miss it.

@@melanie4926 My boyfriend of many years was a carb addict. While he accepted on some level that a higher protein and lower carb diet was more ideal, he reacted by eating out more and buying more high carb snacks. I recall hearing him say that after having a large milkshake with lunch, he would have to continue to consume carbs for hours to avoid a crash, which of course meant his blood sugar was all over the place. I told him this was not normal, and he should check it with his doctor. I don't think he's ready to accept responsibility for his health.

I rarely eat at other folks’ homes, but do eat what they serve; it takes at least a few days to feel wonderful again, but that’s ok.
When I substituted occasional gin for wine, I felt way better in morning…however, French wine would be a challenge!🙂

Tariq’s story hit home for me. I’d really like to speak with him about his knee issues, since I too have serious knee-pain. Doctors have been useless, at least the ones I’ve been to. Since newly on Carniivore I’ve noticed improvement, but I do suspect a cartilage tear. Hope I can contact him soon, just to hear a bit more detail, limited joint movement, when does the pain start, etc.? I’ll be listening to this one again for sure.

I’m female, 76, carnivore for 6 months, defied a knee and hip replacement and have a ribeye every day but falling off the wagon sometimes is normal, this gives me reasons to not do it again, learning constantly and responding to adverse reactions is key.

If I cheat and have bread, sciatica pain and foot pain is immediate. I don't eat plants, like some wine and rum, don't give up, just don't eat plants. Ugh. NO FIBER and grains.

At last someone even mentions wine. I admit that I always enjoyed steak with wine, a glass or two. Having discovered carnivore in early 2024 and eating more meat than before that, I still want that taste combination... I need something sauer, even considered whether to get it with apple cider winegar. I don't need the alcohol but alcohol free wines are too sweet.
So, we shouldn't use food as entertainment...but living alone, nearly Maggie's age, no pains, weight again as it was 60 years ago (!) l do alloy myself some liberties! 😅
