The longer I'm carnivore, the more I cherish the complex flavor nuances of different meats, butter, eggs, bacon & even varieties of salt.

Love this interview, Tariq, I thought you’d were around 40-50, when you said 60 I nearly fell on my recliner. I’m female, 76, carnivore for 6 months, defied a knee and hip replacement and have a ribeye every day but falling off the wagon sometimes is normal, this gives me reasons to not do it again, learning constantly and responding to adverse reactions is key.

I blew my shoulder out 40 years ago and never got it operated on so I had problems from time to time. I went to Carnivore for 17 months now and within 4 months my shoulder was healed. Hip alignment can be fixed by daily hip stretching. Hip mis-alignment can cause back and knee issues.

The psoas muscle is the culprit. It wraps around the hip, and one of the issues is that we sit too much. It's not just the hip pain, it also causes constipation. Right? I started yoga stretches, simple ones, to correct the hip alignment. And like you say, the daily stretching has fixed me up. Thanks for sharing! :)

I used to enjoy wine, and drank it a lot. Then I started to react to it with joint pain. I switched to hard liquor, basically a locally produced cheap, flavorless rum. So I was a heavy drinker for many years. I stopped craving alcohol when I went very low carb and don't miss it.

@@melanie4926 My boyfriend of many years was a carb addict. While he accepted on some level that a higher protein and lower carb diet was more ideal, he reacted by eating out more and buying more high carb snacks. I recall hearing him say that after having a large milkshake with lunch, he would have to continue to consume carbs for hours to avoid a crash, which of course meant his blood sugar was all over the place. I told him this was not normal, and he should check it with his doctor. I don't think he's ready to accept responsibility for his health.

At last someone even mentions wine. I admit that I always enjoyed steak with wine, a glass or two. Having discovered carnivore in early 2024 and eating more meat than before that, I still want that taste combination... I need something sauer, even considered whether to get it with apple cider winegar. I don't need the alcohol but alcohol free wines are too sweet.
So, we shouldn't use food as entertainment...but living alone, nearly Maggie's age, no pains, weight again as it was 60 years ago (!) l do alloy myself some liberties! 😅
