     Parker Dacchille, I recently just bought a new upgrade system. Previously had 2 alpine type r 12's with a audiobahn ac1200. My wife made me go with only 1 sub this time to conserve space in the hatch of our jeep. I couldn't decide between american bass and audiopipe. I bought a Skar Audio reinforced 2.2 sq ft 36hz tuned box. I went with the AudioPipe TXX-BDC4-12D2 with the APCLE Series Class D 1500. I went with SoundBox 1/0 gauge wiring kit and then realized the amp only supported up to 2 gauge lol(so I kept the current 4 gauge power and ground). I however did use the rca's, 12 gauge speaker wire and remote wire. I included the links for anyone looking. But I just wanted to tell you that your videos really helped me decide. But when i got the sub, the terminal bolts on the 4 terminal power side would NOT come loose. So i had to wire straight to tinsel leads until i can get the reverse screw kit. Audiopipe is sending new bolts. The tech at audiopipe also told me JUST ONE of the txx-bdc4 will blow my windows out. This sub is HUGE lol. It literally shakes my entire jeep. The gain is only quarter of the way up with 6db of 40hz bass boost and this thing POUNDS!! I am scared to turn it up much higher during the break in process. I've also been doing car audio for 20 years(37 in july). Keep up the videos bro, they help people more than you. Dont let anyone discourage you either. You already got 12k followers.

    One tip id like to give fellow car audio enthusiast. Never use drywall screws. They have a V shape under the head of the screw. This can cause damage when you tighten them down. • @ParkerTheBasshead
      @ParkerTheBasshead 5 років тому +2

      Almost! The Destroyer was stiffer and had better tinsel lead but the voice coil glue was questionable and the over all build quality wasn’t as good as the AudioPipes

    Just so you know, you shouldn't max out the volume on your head unit, even for a burp. You were definitely clipping at max volume and you probably lost some DB on the meter. Try going to 32 or 33 volume on the deck and adjusting the bass knob after that for Max SPL.

  • @charliehull1326

    Smd or not. I rather go wire straight from amp to sub itself. U lose a lil wattage when puttin n e terminal in. Ya might look cool. But when u hav smaller amp power better direct connect. I wish direct conect subs came with there wire long enough to run straight to amp. Dont know if ubcan order em longer or what. But thats my experience

    Please HEAR ME OUT! Get rid of that amp. Because that amp can’t hit lows that well compared to other amps in it’s class. The sound quality of that amp lacks very badly. The Skar RP 3500 and RP 4500 has way better sound quality and are able to play lower then the Skar RP 2000. Because they have a higher quality Chinese board with more settings, hints the big price jump between the RP 3.5K and RP 2K. You can get another 2000rms budget amp that will hit much lower and have better sound quality then the Skar RP 2K. The Skar RP 2K makes decent subs look and sound bad. I own multiple Skar amps, so I’m not a hater. The RP 2K- RP 800 all have terrible sound quality especially when it comes to the lows
