I just love how you now let interest do your work for your debt savings - you've basically pulled a uno reverse card on your debt 😁 I hope your move goes smoothly and you can settle in nicely at your new place 😊

Congrats on 800+ credit score! Amazing! And your side hustle income looks like a regular W2 paycheck. Great work

Said it before, I'll say it again ... after following you for so long, it's just a thrill to see what you've accomplished with hard work and sustained focus. And you look so happy too! And isn't it nice to cash flow expenses you previously had to save for? To earn interest rather than pay it? And increase your giving? 🥳 You are going to do great things, Leila!

Thank you so much!! And yes it's so nice that things are getting easier. It's helped my money mindset so much more too and I just know money will flow to me!

Thanks for the video! You do a great job of explaining things and keeping us engaged. I also checked out your other channel, the behind the scenes life stuff, which gives more context. I like that, the combo. I checked out your website and looked at the fees for consultation. Seems reasonable. And I'm a 57 year old male trying to calibrate things so I can retire at age 62 or 63. I think your perspective would be helpful tbh. Just keep going, your content is good

Love your transparency. Would love to know how you are able to have such a cheap Google fiber bill

Thanks Nick! I've been with Fiber since 2019 and it started at $50 then up to $55 and has stayed at that (1 gig). I didn't even realize that was different than what they offer now!

Hi Leila! I’m a fairly new subscriber - slowly working through your financial journey playlist! It’s so cool to compare your past videos to where you are now! I can really relate to your journey and it’s super exciting to see all your amazing progress! I love the new furniture savings goal and that you’re waiting to purchase things you really love (that work best with your new place!). I don’t know anything about the timing of furniture purchases, but, would it make more sense to make big purchases during Black Friday 2023 instead of waiting for 2024? I know this is a low spend year for you, but those sales might also end up saving you more in the long run! I guess it would depend on how long you could go without those furniture pieces, as well as other financial considerations such as whether a big sale would end up saving you more money than that money would grow in a HYSA? However, if we are nearing a recession, cash in the bank might give you options if the economy were to go south. Idk!

      Thank you so much Constance!
You honestly may be right! I dug into it a bit and saw that President's day is a good time to buy furniture which would be perfect!
We can definitely wait on buying furniture, it's no rush. So it may be worth it to wait for certain times in the year

I had loans with Navient that were originally with sallie Mae. I got a notice that they were discharged I had no idea why until I saw this video. I think this is why they were discharged. I still have federal loans. Is it to late to do the borrower defense discharge?

Hi Leila (long time watcher, first time commenter) What do you do with the funds budgeted under housing that you don't end up spending in the month? Does that go to a sinking fund? Or general savings? You've probably explained this before I just didn't catch it.

      Thank you for being here!
I actually don't do anything special/specific with it but any "left over" money I've always ended up putting to debt (before) and investments now!

Actually it is. It is "net" income you should have had during the previous year. Just means you gave too much to the government.
