The tzaddik left the house in the nick of time after which a missile hit it bringing it down. The explanation goes either way - 1) he was urged by HaShem or by one of HaShem's angels to leave the place destined to be hit as part of the causal plan, or 2) he left and the house was hit because he left - as long as he was studying Torah, the divine forces manifested in and around him protected both him and the house but the connect was severed when he left exposing the house to an attack from the foe. Only those who have access to the divine plan can say with certitude which of the above 2 reasons is correct. For those living in the ordinary consciousness, it's a matter of trying to guess which of the 2 reasons is true. One can never know the divine plan unless the divine presence and power informs one.
