From birth Johan was a twin who was very malnourished and because of that in the hospital it was decided that both he and his twin were going to die. The main character of the show saved him losing something in return I think. Johan was a sociopath who never understood anybody however he was always grateful to the main character that's why he never killed him, also I don't think that he didn't wanted to erase himself more get revenge on those who wronged the main character. I might be wrong though I never watched the show just a retrospective on Johan.
A small tip for cold scenes in later projects, add tint around knuckles. It doesnt have to be as dark as the under eyes, but add tint there. The most important area above everything for cold scenes is to add tint to the nose. It doesnt sell if the nose doesn't have that reddish look. This only applies to light-skinned characters tho.

Really nice art, but I find the villain goofy with that globe on his head. He would be better off with a kabuki mask or just having no head at all. like those weird ocs with items as heads.. His outfit does look slightly intimidating, but I believe you can push it more with some patterns.
@@halioweens just a fellow viewer but if you want to make a villain scarier, make some hype about him, ie like the normal people know him but never want to talk about him, like voldemort, they did the same with sukuna, only the strongest know and fear him truly. Make sure to not show him when people are talking about how he is terrifying. Focus the scene on the person talking only as it the tension will make him more feared.
Tipp when making a masked villain you should really consider to never actually show they're face same with sunglasses and not showing the eyes, that way you can make him feel more mysterious and or unsettling.
Love seeing your positivity about your own art. You have a way to bring yourself up that's inspiring. Too many people drag themselves down, being perfectionists (including me).

One nit-picky thing I had with this chapter(its really nothing, just thought it could improve it) would be if Dorian was sputtering blood while he was responding back to mother nature. It would be a really cool dialogue effect.

Somehow he ran so far he found himself in an alley-way but something felt off, he slipped over on concrete and fell on his head, when he woke up, he was in a lab his arm was torn off and his legs were off too, 4. he found himself in a lab, he didn't know how he got there or why but he was there, after 15 years of his life stuck in laboratory he escaped and thought of becoming a hero. Looks like: he has orange and pink hair with lightning skrekes in his hair somehow, He is 19, Desclaimer: he used to have brown hair but really black.
i have a villain OC that I would like to share here (note that he’s a villain, not an antagonist): the villain is an alien from another reality who have the ability to manipulate concepts of the world and possess many different powers. he has a very arbitrary sense, he doesn’t define anything using any logic but pure randomness, this lead to him causing several mayhem to the world ever years, killing peoples rapidly resulting to him being hated by many people. even known he’s cruel, he’s emotionally fragile and cries alot in the story (it only happens when he opens his diary or hears something similar to what’s in his diary which are rather distressing stuffs) . he’s pretty much the strongest in the story but he always follows commands of a weaker character and he always consider himself as the person’s “biggest fan”. His backstory is: he was a normal person in another reality, he has a friend who’s weaker but always care for him, guide him when he’s lost and shape him into a good person. But one day in a battle where him, his friend and many other people must indiscriminately fight each other in order to get into the top rank of society. he was a very strong fighter. Killing everyone on his way but he never once looked at his friend in the battle nor help him a single bit since both of them agree that they’ll win with their own strength. He won without any drop of sweet, but when he try to search for his friend among the winner, he cant find him, he’s no longer with him. From then on, he regrets every moments of it, he could have helped but he chooses to not. And so he leave his achievements behind, using a special spell only he knows to transport into a different reality where he’s god so he won’t have to regret anymore.
I really love the earth mask idea because the earth is our home and he wants people to feel like they are at home with him when they actually aren’t because the earth isn’t truly ours. Or because he wants to be the ruler of earth. And the earth is only one planet there are so many more. But when we see the earth mask it’s like it’s the only one he makes you forget there are others. And also yeah he hides his face and identity wich could make for interesting reveals. 🌍and u never know wich one the mask is intended for making him more mysterious
Wow dude, your art is sick. Honestly, you're underrated (But one thing though, around the beginning you mentioned Johan being a monster without reason even though he has been given several factors in the anime/manga behind why he was the man he was)
But I find it awesome that you've based your character's design off of Friend. 20th Century Boys is honestly one of my favorite stories ever, and you should definitely give it a read. (Assuming you haven't actually already). There are genuinely a lot of funny and wholesome moments in the book that make it so amazing as well as bringing you along a huge rollercoaster ride of emotions, all while keeping Urasawa's iconic villain-central mystery.

Good character design my main villan is angel of freedom (I’m not telling you about him) but who might be most hated when I release the full sieries into one video will be switch blade his name refers to his blade switching red ear slash making an instant slash no way to doge kind of thing which already makes him overpowered but of course he gets defeated by the main character Ryan for his backstory is uhh kind of scrappy he was a child training in hell fighting the angel of freedom when the angel of freedom spares his life but he has to kill everyone on earth now switchblade had a perk called bloodbane which is a perk that makes the user more powerful each kill and giving the user blood magic upon 4m some other people have this like the angel of freedom rayan and chronos who is a complete pacifist for some reason and switchblade kills everyone most spiceficly some important characters that will make u cry and his battle with chronos is earth shattering litearally switchblade shatters the dimension but Brad uses overite to overite what happened anyway pictures sitama but stronger that’s it it’s trash to say the least
I personally think if we're talking about a true "evil" villain. He doesn't need to have a rational motive to do what he is doing. If we're talking about a backstory, we shouldn't give him a sad one to make the readers sympathize with him, instead give him a messed up mentality which causes him to do extremely messed up things. Create characters that the readers will like and make the villain kill them for entertainment or just for some trivial reason. This will make the readers hate the villain and side with the protagonit even more. If you want to give him the villain some colour make it seem like he gets pleasure off of the misery of others, make extremely graphic and detailed panels of him expressing sinister emotions. If you want to give him an even more messed up mentality, make it the exact opposite of the main character. Like if the protagonist thinks like "why do people kill?" Make it "why do people NOT kill?" This is just my taste btw great work I love your artstyle and storytelling
I am addicted to creating villains who are pure evil and acknowledge it, but who have reasons to believe that following morality is pointless. For example, a determinist who believes that everything is a sequence of cause and effect, therefore, there is no freedom of choice; no one is bad or good. It also creates a hitman whose brain was modified to have no empathy, no instinct for species preservation, and enjoys doing bad stuff. It is designed to raise the question: if we would have no material or emotional benefit in being a decent person, would we be one?
I've been watching you ever since you started posting. You are so inspiring to me cause I want to make manga myself and I'm currently working on my own manga. Of course it's hard but I will pull through somehow! Thank you for yet another doze of inspiration!

Am I the only one that really likes a villain with no backstory, is purely evil but very intelligent... Kinda like Aizen. But I'd really like to see a physically weak, ultra intelligent, no backstory, being of pure evil.
for me, i like a villain similar to that, no backstory and pure evil. But instead of intelligent, i like a stupid but all knowing person. They know all outcomes and are doing stupid stuffs because they like the outcomes of those, not because they have any deep reason, it’s because they feel like it… basically, i like “the embodiment of chaos itself” type of villain
Just a possible direction for an idea you can take this villain. IMO right now he seems a little blank as some people have said. I don't think it would be very interesting having him be a classic "lol I was mistreated therefore I will be evil" type of characters. I think since "Mother Nature" was the one who bestowed her powers on him, he trauma should have something to do with nature itself. For example, he could have been born with a bunch of genetic illnesses and/or very unattractive (though you've already drawn him a certain way, so not sure if you can still take it in that direction). In addition, maybe he has some people in his life who suffer the same issues; being dealt a bad hand by nature itself. In addition, he may comment on the cruelty of nature, and how suffering and predation are tantamount to its existence. His motivation could be two-pronged; to wreak vengeance on the world/nature as it had wronged him, and to erase the world so no one has to suffer from the hands of nature anymore. I haven't read your story so idk about the MC, but he could potentially have the opposite reaction despite being dealt a worse hand, and instead his reaction is to actively fight against nature to ease the suffering of others rather than destroy the world. You're probably taking the story in a different direction, but these are just some ideas.

I feel like it’s missing something so essential in evilness. Humanity. A personal stake, a hatred, a person there yet and not at all, I am speaking mostly from a more literature sense of evil but creature like AM, are so close to people, but they aren’t. They think like people, they breathe like people, they enjoy things like people and yet no one would call them jt. Something just separates them, it defines them as monsters. They want the suffering of others, it sustains them in a way. Yet they do not do it without emotion, it is the emotion that drives them
you should give him a attack where he fines where the main character is on his head and throws a rock at it or he uses his finger and smashes where the main character is (i’m not sure if you has done this because i haven’t watched the video)
My favorite kind of characters are the ones with noble intentions but done in a bad way. Because no matter how much people try u can’t justify them. I’m not the biggest fan of characters evil for the sake of being evil. They need some reason and as much as I love traumatic backstories the reason can be anything as long as it makes sense. Manipulative villains are really intriguing to or just ones that give off a pysco or sociopath vibe and sometimes in certain cases this can make up for their lack of a reason. I like villains that seem god but something small is just off, or ones that are just really well designed and I’m not even saying they have to be attractive just cool. And most importantly I love seeing villains that contrast the hero. Like complete opposite usually in motives. Like the symbol of peace and the symbol of fear kinda thing. Ones who will kill without care or despite care do it anyways. Make u think one thing then do another.

Eh, idk. It feels too much like his backstory can be summed up with "Random ass dude dies. Gets revived with new powers. Gets fucking pissed and wants to be bad." Can't really see any motivation, maybe something about who he was before he died in the woods alone or how he got there would be a good motivator or maybe the whole "you got 25 years to find a successor" thing still applies to him and he doesn't like that so maybe his goal is to do something about the bigger gods or whatever. Unless we go deeper into his backstory later on and this is just showing the moment in which he became the way that he is for the time being.
You asked for a second name for your main character in the first video so here is my proposal. Since Dorian gave me alot of french/medieval like vibes, Castelmore seems a nice pick for me, as it was the name of the real life D'Artagnan. But if you want to be extra representative you could call him Dorian Grey and make him be basically based on the character from The Picture Of Dorian Grey, but that one sounds like a big stretch for the manga since it won't make any sense at all so my final word goes to Castelmore. But really its up to you for his name Btw if you do use the name no need to shout me out, even if you say you thought it yourself i wouldn't be mad Also looking VERY forward to the manga, you got a new sub

He won without any drop of sweet, but when he try to search for his friend among the winner, he cant find him, he’s no longer with him. From then on, he regrets every moments of it, he could have helped but he chooses to not. And so he leave his achievements behind, using a special spell only he knows to transport into a different reality where he’s god so he won’t have to regret anymore.
I really love the earth mask idea because the earth is our home and he wants people to feel like they are at home with him when they actually aren’t because the earth isn’t truly ours. Or because he wants to be the ruler of earth. And the earth is only one planet there are so many more. But when we see the earth mask it’s like it’s the only one he makes you forget there are others. And also yeah he hides his face and identity wich could make for interesting reveals. 🌍and u never know wich one the mask is intended for making him more mysterious

But I find it awesome that you've based your character's design off of Friend. 20th Century Boys is honestly one of my favorite stories ever, and you should definitely give it a read. (Assuming you haven't actually already). There are genuinely a lot of funny and wholesome moments in the book that make it so amazing as well as bringing you along a huge rollercoaster ride of emotions, all while keeping Urasawa's iconic villain-central mystery.
yeah i noticed afterwards that he does have some sort of motive, i had watched it years ago and completely forgot and when i looked it up i couldn't find an exact motive either :(

Good character design my main villan is angel of freedom (I’m not telling you about him) but who might be most hated when I release the full sieries into one video will be switch blade his name refers to his blade switching red ear slash making an instant slash no way to doge kind of thing which already makes him overpowered but of course he gets defeated by the main character Ryan for his backstory is uhh kind of scrappy he was a child training in hell fighting the angel of freedom when the angel of freedom spares his life but he has to kill everyone on earth now switchblade had a perk called bloodbane which is a perk that makes the user more powerful each kill and giving the user blood magic upon 4m some other people have this like the angel of freedom rayan and chronos who is a complete pacifist for some reason and switchblade kills everyone most spiceficly some important characters that will make u cry and his battle with chronos is earth shattering litearally switchblade shatters the dimension but Brad uses overite to overite what happened anyway pictures sitama but stronger that’s it it’s trash to say the least
Angels aren't happy, and demons are far from sad. Knights of honour in battle do not enjoy it while evil prevails and loves the very chaos

I personally think if we're talking about a true "evil" villain. He doesn't need to have a rational motive to do what he is doing. If we're talking about a backstory, we shouldn't give him a sad one to make the readers sympathize with him, instead give him a messed up mentality which causes him to do extremely messed up things. Create characters that the readers will like and make the villain kill them for entertainment or just for some trivial reason. This will make the readers hate the villain and side with the protagonit even more. If you want to give him the villain some colour make it seem like he gets pleasure off of the misery of others, make extremely graphic and detailed panels of him expressing sinister emotions. If you want to give him an even more messed up mentality, make it the exact opposite of the main character. Like if the protagonist thinks like "why do people kill?" Make it "why do people NOT kill?" This is just my taste btw great work I love your artstyle and storytelling
I am addicted to creating villains who are pure evil and acknowledge it, but who have reasons to believe that following morality is pointless. For example, a determinist who believes that everything is a sequence of cause and effect, therefore, there is no freedom of choice; no one is bad or good.
It also creates a hitman whose brain was modified to have no empathy, no instinct for species preservation, and enjoys doing bad stuff. It is designed to raise the question: if we would have no material or emotional benefit in being a decent person, would we be one?
I've been watching you ever since you started posting. You are so inspiring to me cause I want to make manga myself and I'm currently working on my own manga. Of course it's hard but I will pull through somehow! Thank you for yet another doze of inspiration!

it's up for interpretation for sure, but i think having a motive makes a villain much scarier and also more interesting.
@@halioweensmotives are good but I think beliefs are another good thing, for example one of the best written villains, Judge Holden has basically no motive, but what makes him such a great villain is his philosophy, if someone’s beliefs are so radical and disturbing then they are basically irreversible
Look i think trying to make a character swayed by the world or manipulated since birth would result in the perfect villain (based on the story)

Am I the only one that really likes a villain with no backstory, is purely evil but very intelligent... Kinda like Aizen. But I'd really like to see a physically weak, ultra intelligent, no backstory, being of pure evil.
for me, i like a villain similar to that, no backstory and pure evil. But instead of intelligent, i like a stupid but all knowing person. They know all outcomes and are doing stupid stuffs because they like the outcomes of those, not because they have any deep reason, it’s because they feel like it… basically, i like “the embodiment of chaos itself” type of villain

Just a possible direction for an idea you can take this villain.
IMO right now he seems a little blank as some people have said. I don't think it would be very interesting having him be a classic "lol I was mistreated therefore I will be evil" type of characters.
I think since "Mother Nature" was the one who bestowed her powers on him, he trauma should have something to do with nature itself.
For example, he could have been born with a bunch of genetic illnesses and/or very unattractive (though you've already drawn him a certain way, so not sure if you can still take it in that direction). In addition, maybe he has some people in his life who suffer the same issues; being dealt a bad hand by nature itself.
In addition, he may comment on the cruelty of nature, and how suffering and predation are tantamount to its existence. His motivation could be two-pronged; to wreak vengeance on the world/nature as it had wronged him, and to erase the world so no one has to suffer from the hands of nature anymore.
I haven't read your story so idk about the MC, but he could potentially have the opposite reaction despite being dealt a worse hand, and instead his reaction is to actively fight against nature to ease the suffering of others rather than destroy the world. You're probably taking the story in a different direction, but these are just some ideas.

Tbh it'd be good if you make him/her evil like The Qu, judge holden or AM. That would be really great to see since manga villans like johan or Griffith can't go even close to them so it's pretty mid. We need real evil among manga industry. I still can't forget AM's speech so I'll recommend to go that much.

I feel like it’s missing something so essential in evilness. Humanity. A personal stake, a hatred, a person there yet and not at all, I am speaking mostly from a more literature sense of evil but creature like AM, are so close to people, but they aren’t. They think like people, they breathe like people, they enjoy things like people and yet no one would call them jt. Something just separates them, it defines them as monsters. They want the suffering of others, it sustains them in a way. Yet they do not do it without emotion, it is the emotion that drives them

My favorite kind of characters are the ones with noble intentions but done in a bad way. Because no matter how much people try u can’t justify them. I’m not the biggest fan of characters evil for the sake of being evil. They need some reason and as much as I love traumatic backstories the reason can be anything as long as it makes sense. Manipulative villains are really intriguing to or just ones that give off a pysco or sociopath vibe and sometimes in certain cases this can make up for their lack of a reason. I like villains that seem god but something small is just off, or ones that are just really well designed and I’m not even saying they have to be attractive just cool. And most importantly I love seeing villains that contrast the hero. Like complete opposite usually in motives. Like the symbol of peace and the symbol of fear kinda thing. Ones who will kill without care or despite care do it anyways. Make u think one thing then do another.

Eh, idk. It feels too much like his backstory can be summed up with "Random ass dude dies. Gets revived with new powers. Gets fucking pissed and wants to be bad." Can't really see any motivation, maybe something about who he was before he died in the woods alone or how he got there would be a good motivator or maybe the whole "you got 25 years to find a successor" thing still applies to him and he doesn't like that so maybe his goal is to do something about the bigger gods or whatever. Unless we go deeper into his backstory later on and this is just showing the moment in which he became the way that he is for the time being.

You asked for a second name for your main character in the first video so here is my proposal. Since Dorian gave me alot of french/medieval like vibes, Castelmore seems a nice pick for me, as it was the name of the real life D'Artagnan. But if you want to be extra representative you could call him Dorian Grey and make him be basically based on the character from The Picture Of Dorian Grey, but that one sounds like a big stretch for the manga since it won't make any sense at all so my final word goes to Castelmore. But really its up to you for his name
