+Abby Cheng Well, if you're really wondering how he played it its pretty simple. He uses a technique called tapping to do the beginning. After that he bends the G string on the 3rd fret. Finally he just plays single notes using the pentatonic scale. It's pretty easy but it sounds complicated that's all. ;)
personally, this Band would be a lot more than a product of the time if all the songs were as rock and authentic as this performance

They are Kinda heavy lol
this band is far from a "pop boyband," as most call it. i know a lot about these guys. they started making covers on youtube, they started playing at small venues, their first gig was to twelve people, then they opened for that band hot chelle rae then they opened for one direction. that's the main reason why they got the "pop boyband" label, because of touring with one direction. but in an interview, they said, and i quote, "people were confused when they found out we were opening for one direction. people kept saying "well you're not a boyband" and we know that, and that's what we wanted to show the world, that we are two completely different groups. we play our guitars and drums, we do our thing, one direction do their thing. it was a fun tour." they ARE two completely different things and i don't see how anyone could compare the two. 5sos are influenced by green day, blink-182, all time low, bands like that but people don't want to believe that because of the fact they opened for one direction, but honestly, it's time to get over it! and then there's those people who constantly fight over what genre 5sos are. they are pop-rock and they have small pop-punk elements. but when someone hears "punk" or "pop punk," they automatically bring up green day and blink-182. yes green day were punk rockbut some of their newer stuff was more punk to pop punk, blink was always punk to pop punk. but everyone thinks those two bands were like the only two bands, it's annoying. and the thing with calling 5sos punk really annoys me. they are not punk, they know their not, they never call themselves punk, and the fans know it. most of the fans call them punk rock for a joke because of something the guitarist said in a twitcam they made. but it's just a joke!! they are far from punk or punk rock, and we know that, but there's those people who are like "they wear band shirts so they can look punk," "that one member dyes his hair to look punk," "just because the lead singer has a lip ring doesn't mean he's punk," they don't do/have those things to try to "act" or "look" punk. they grew up listening to those bands, ((all time low and green day were the main reason they all started playing and writing)), michael doesn't dye his hair to be punk. last time i checked, people were allowed to dye their hair. and luke got the lip piercing because he wanted to, not because he wants to be punk, so everyone needs to shut up with that. and just remember this: 5sos play their own instruments, they write their songs, they associate with people in the pop-punk/rock business, they are produced by john feldmann, and they were in rock sound, kerrang and alternative press magazine. don't judge a band when you barely know about them please!
