As a priest, I've recently started posting educational and comedic content on social media, and have been blown away by some of the vitriol in the comments! This video comes as great encouragement to continue with poise and grace.
Please don’t take it personally, the world is very sick and the people addicted to social media are particularly unwell. Your content is very needed. You can’t take reactions on social media seriously or allow that to guide your choices at all
Remember my word that I said to you: The servant is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have kept my word, they will keep yours also. Fr. we Catholics need to always remember that the way to Our Lord Jesus Christ is the 'royal way of the Holy Cross'. This world hated Him, it will also hate us. We need to learn to find joy in our sufferings as did the Saints for they unite us most closely to Christ's passion. We need to learn to suffer well (e.g. Saint Lawrence - 'Turn me over', 'I'm done on this side!'). "If so ye continue in the faith, grounded and settled, and immoveable from the hope of the gospel which you have heard, which is preached in all the creation that is under heaven, whereof I Paul am made a minister. *Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up those things that are wanting of the sufferings of Christ, in my flesh, for his body, which is the church* " The Head of the Church, Jesus Christ, already suffered. His Church, the faithful, must still go through our passion. The Head and the Body are not separate. The Litany of Humility prayed with devotion Fr. helps remind us of this. God bless you. May the Lord give us the grace to stand strong against temptation and to be full of His joy in the face of the trials we will encounter in this sojourn.
I’ve learned a lot from my son, now 24, about how they view social media. Many don’t care what they say or to whom, and/or take it upon themselves to be agitators to stir others up intentionally. Engaging with them is impossible in that mindset. But with prayer, the love of God, and the Holy Spirit to guide, we can discern. Thanks for what you do. 🙏
Dear Bishop. I am an Evangelical follower of Jesus, but I always look for your postings. May God bless and protect you. This topic is so needed in our toxic society. I am reminded of Galatians 5, the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. These are so lacking in us today and I believe they are our best counter to temptation to exhibit contempt and against contempt shown to us by others.
@Dale Lerette Last year I read an otherwise forgettable book that had a memorable short appendix on how impact people as a believer in today's postmodern secular American culture. I remember two suggestions in particular: 1. Live a life of gratitude, to others and to God, which is so absent in daily lives. 2. Live free of anger, which characterizes so much of daily lives.
@Dale Lerette I'm not smart enough to know why each gift corresponds to its particular virtue; I'll take Thomas's word on it. But I do know that I value each of those gifts and wish I had more of each of those virtues. God bless you Dale. BTW, I'm 67 years old, a retired engineer, and my wife (Taiwanese) and I are hoping to relocate to Taiwan later this year. I committed to follow Jesus in 1977 while a student at Kansas State University. How about you?
@Alan Adam Do not let the sun go down on your anger, in other words look at why you are angry: were you crossed, hurt, betrayed, does something need to change, figure it out, there is a reason why we get angry... what is it? And then use fruits of the Spirit and run the details through Phillipians 4:8...
I pray the Rosary every morning, at least, I try to. I don't know why I hadn't thought of praying for the fallen Catholics. I will now add this to the list of things that I already pray for.
Be it known: Through the Holy Spirit, God has put it on me to preach to those lost in the devil's deceit! Hear me when I say, ye that are Catholic have been deceived and know not God. Ye worship Mary, praying to her; when God tells his to worship none other than him. It is idolatry. Catholicism has its own Bible and teachings, which are blasphemous to the word of God: the Holy Bible. As ye follow the teachings of man and not God; ye hear the pope, but not Jesus, yet ye claim to be his disciples! These are but a few things I named ye dwell within; there are many more. I tell you now to repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you'll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit upon asking the Father! There are *NO* sub-divisions of Christianity. You're either a disciple of Christ or not. A Christian is someone who follows God's word, not a religion. Who obey the Father and follow his will; not man's nor their own heart's. Unless you keep Jesus' commandments, think not the Holy Spirit will dwell within you! They who heed this message and did what was stated with an open heart to God... Read the Holy Bible (KJV) daily and every time before you read, pray to the Father and ask: "Lord I ask that you give me understanding of your word, that I interpret it the way you want me to, and none of my own. I ask you in Jesus' name, amen." Revelation 22:8-9 KJV 8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. 9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. Acts 2:38 KJV 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Luke 11:13 KJV 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? John 14:21-24 KJV 21 *He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.* 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, *If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.* 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and *the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.* 3 John 1:11 KJV 11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. *He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.* 1 John 3:6-10 KJV 6 *Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.* 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: *he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.* 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 *Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.* 10 *In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God,* neither he that loveth not his brother.
@Jesus Saves! why do you preach without understanding? It would make a better argument if you did some research on the topic of Catholicism before you start blurting common Protestant misconceptions of it.
I can't believe that those who don't believe in being Catholic, would spend so much time trying to Damn those they don't believe as they do. Try putting more effort into your own salvation. We will pray for you
The Morning Offering includes For The Conversion of Souls .. that can cover all states of people not yet fully united with Our Lord... Pretty much all of us at one time or another. ...
I click on a few bishop barron videos because I like the philosophy, and I get every tom dick and harry's clickbait opinion on jesus XD pretty annoying actually.
This is the same psychoanalyst who championed against corporal punishment and yet whose own children were beaten in her presence by her husband whom she divorced? The same woman who committed suicide because she wanted to control her death and suffering? Great choice for a Catholic posting.
This is my Body book on the Eucharist is one of the most profound and succinct treatises I've read on the Blessed Sacrament. Thank you Bishop for making this book available at such low cost to everyone who wants one. It's an amazing read through history, theology and Scripture.
@@Denis.Collins I can't agree. I have not got the notion that Crux Channel is into gossips or smugness of any sort. Maybe you could have a look at his Book and you might discover something along the side of truth. Thanks for being here.
I think John does good work, and I find _Last week in the Church_ amusing and informative, but he speaks as a journalist and editor, not an evangelist. I can see how one would find news of the latest Vatican scandal "gossip" and opinions, such as the future of the Church belonging to the global south rather than Europe and the US, as "smug".
Dear Bishop R.Barron your words are so refreshingly true and to the point. I will do as you suggest take the time 30second and then respond. In the work place they say start with the positive. And better still when its too annoying just "Not to respond".

It does wonders to my heart to listen to these two glorious men discuss things that are so far out of my realm of daily thought and put them into words that my simple mind can comprehend. Thank you both so very much. Blessings from Kansas~
Bishop Barron, I tried the detox for Lent and I was able to abide. I need to do it again. Thank you for all your posts. I have been following you for several years and you feed my spirit and my mind. I am literally STARVING for content such as this. Sadly, the homilies in the parishes close to me leave me wanting so much more and at times even upset at the lack of forethought and effort. I badly need content such as yours and from The Thomistic Institute which I also follow. How glorious can our faith be if taught correctly. Many of us need more. Thank you!
I have 2 masters degrees, and I'm not an Idiot..However, I know you were brought up Republican. Fine, but those Christian Catholics who support trump. OMG, are you kidding me. The hate, hypocracy, and rage those so called republicans have, they should do a year in jail or a year in a mental institution. Shame on The USA & shame on those who support this orange psychopath!
Best explanation ❤ Romans 7:15 never intend to react emotionally with Anger with anyone especially those closest to me, work very hard daily not too. 🙏 Gods grace alone. .
I'm not a Christian, yet I do find value in these WOF conversations. I don't always agree and yet I always learn something new. In regards to this topic of the culture of contempt, everyone, no matter what your belief system, would be wise listen to this and take to heart the main messages here, In a nutshell: Be kind, and do no harm. Yes, express your views but take time to think them through first. Avoid the knee jerk reaction. Feel free to disagree with someone and yet avoid the temptation to run the another person down with dehumanizing put downs and insults. Is it easy. Nope. But don't let that stop you. And yes, I did pause a good minute before sending this message. Thank you for posting this video,
I first heard of Bishop Barron on another Catholic site that was highly critical of some of the things he was saying. I've been listening to him for a while now and I don't know what they were talking about! Keep up the good work, Father!

Like almost everything, social media can be used for good or bad. In my case, I’ve learned about my faith and gotten closer to my Catholic religion, more in the last few years than my whole life. I’ve also been able to share great information and links with family and friends, as Word on Fire, Fr. Mike Schmidt, and many more. I had to do a great effort to focus in the good for my soul, but once you accomplish that, you are hooked in the edificable information. THANK YOU for your absolutely wonderful content.

I ordered several copies of This Is My Body, with the intention of giving them to my children, and friends ! I’m waiting for it’s delivery within a month (they say 4 weeks), anyway, I bought a copy and downloaded it in my kindle paper white tablet, and am excited to read it 👏 Bishop Barron, May Jesus and Mary always keep you in Their loving care🙏
I take 15 to 30 minutes every morning reading my Bible in a year, It is a mixture of old testament, psalms and then of course I read Jesus"s word. Thank-you Bishop Robert Barron. For your wisdom and knowledge. As a combat veteran of the U.S.A armed forces I pray everyday. For the entire world, God is the Alpha and Omega . I am now going to pray my rosary.

A couple of years ago, I deleted my Facebook account. The vitriol was overwhelming, and I was seeing some of my children engaging in it, and saying things quite unkind. I have not regretted it.
During my most viscious work conflict I took it to my favorite confessor (RIP). When I said, " Yeah, I know, I have to love my neighbor..." He stopped me, "No. You must love her as JESUS loves her." I felt the sharp pain in my chest, the shortness of breath. I felt heaven's potential slip from my grasp. He was absolutely right, but o-u-c-h. Talk about the narrow way. O-U-C-H!
The book of Proverbs is full of relevant advice for dealing with the conflagrants of social media. A favourite of mine is Proverbs 26:4-5, New American Bible (Revised Edition) 4 Do not answer fools according to their folly, lest you too become like them. 5 Answer fools according to their folly, lest they become wise in their own eyes.
Bishop Barron, it is so true I am going to detox. I'm going to do something totally crazy read a good book and write. I enjoy this podcast. Thank You both. ❣😃✌God Bless You
Great advice about responding contempt. I learned this at work. It is always a good idea to type out what you are thinking but not send it! Unfortunately most of these people will not be convinced by any argument!!
Been dealing with a lot of contempt-driven catholics recently. I try to inform them that they're actively driving people away from their beliefs, but most often it falls on deaf ears. I often just get angry, make myself look like a fool, then block the person. Thanks for this dialogue. It's good to know that not all catholics are the fire-and-brimstone, righteous fury type.
The culture is waiting for the Church to speak truthfully on Catholic Social Teaching and her members are instead remaining silent, out of fear or pride. Things will continue to decline rapidly so long as we remain silent about the economic abuse of the young and working class. Period. It’s so simple it’s easy to look right past it.
Great- and healing - advice regarding "tuning out." Try it for a day...then 2 days...then a week. You will survive. You will HEAR the voice of God breaking through the noise of the modern world.
I just happened on this video and am Catholic but never really went to Church. I started going in May and my husband joined me in June and we have been going ever since. Looks like the Rosary prayers worked in our cases :) Thank you
I gave up Facebook for Lent this year…it was great! Felt so free of the constant negativity out there. It was surprisingly not hard to do once I made the decision to do it. Taking the app off my phone/ipad also helped to avoid the temptation. I love the idea of giving it up for a month to detox every now and then. I wish teens had the strength to do this, as there is so much yuck facing them. So many benefits to social media, but just as many harmful negatives!
I did too, two Lents ago, and never went back. Best thing I ever did. Lent of 2022 I gave up watching and reading news. Never went back, though I am a big UA-cam fan and have my own channel where I post my vlogs and music and try to stick to edifying content, but it is Hard work keeping unwanted content from appearing in my UA-cam feed. I will also admit that when questionable content appears, my curiosity often gets the best of me.
I've been praying the rosary more frequently now. Thanks to Bishop Barron and the Word on Fire Catholic Ministry. God is great! Btw, the 404 page not found message on the WoF website is brilliant 😂 "Looks like you're wandering in the wilderness!" Had me in splits.😂😂
I've read biographies of Lincoln and Truman. Both men could get angry and sit down and write a response in the heat of the moment but they had the wisdom to set the letter aside and review it maybe a day later. Most remained unsent.
I gave up my Twitter account about one year ago. The content of the discussion bears out what I have enjoyed since then - greater internal peace. Of course, there are those 'interlopers' into my peaceful place, but they are much more manageable when I put them 'where they belong!'
@𝚃𝙴𝚇𝚃 𝙳𝙸𝚁𝙴𝙲𝚃 ┼𝟷𝟿𝟷𝟹𝟹𝟾𝟿𝟹𝟻𝟺𝟹 I would be delighted to do so. Medium? I'll be at "The Congress" on Saturday. On another matter, how are the pocket rosaries holding-up? 😊 Peter

Yes!! The Simpsons episode at 21:20!! That ep ALWAYS comes to mind when I think about ignoring the noise. We need to learn to ignore so much-- not everything, but A LOT!
I agree with the fundamental ideas brought up in this podcast. I also skimmed through the Vatican guidance on social media. Having been on the internet since the pre-Facebook days, I don’t think that it’s possible to de-toxify the internet/social media, in general or a personal way. It’s not even about just us making an example and shifting the culture. It’s not about it being hard, it’s that the incentives and communication style built into social media cannot be taken out of it without some insanely extreme design changes. In addition to the incentives, shallow response limitations, and necessary algorithms, social media also has none of the moderating effects of having real-life interactions with people. We don’t even know who “our neighbor” is in any meaningful way online (beyond a vague conceptual “neighbor” who you never really meet or see their humanity). I’m on a more realist/pessimistic side of this discussion, but I see only 2 ways of dealing with the dumpster fire that is social media that won’t just be blood sports: 1) only be in the least controversial groups online. 2) get offline and just live the way the Lord intended us.
I like the idea of reducing our time on social media I love social media but am also aware of the downside of social media Pulling ourselves away from social media would not be easy but we could do it if we as a culture put our minds to it Hard part would getting others on board
As a construct, I understand the communion (or unity) of truth and goodness as the beautiful. In other words, the beautiful is the glorious communion of truth and goodness (26:30)
My order of This Is My Body was one of them that was delayed. They arrived on my birthday! So I proceeded to give them away as my birthday presents to family and fiends. No one declined!
I am torn w the phone…I get to listen to u guys n b closer to God for it but at the same time I get angry on social media looking at all the evil. There is a bitten apple on the back of the phone after all.
One of the first positive things we can do as Catholics is to stop using the word 'dialogue.' One of the most used/abused and empty words of these times. When I hear it, I automatically know the subject in question is being discussed in bad faith.
I used to be what you might call “terminally online.” I was in a whole bunch of “shaming” Facebook groups (e.g., “That’s it, I’m wedding shaming” and many others) and also some Catholic sh*tposting groups. I was none too kind to online strangers, but I often justified my meanness by telling myself that I was defending the faith online. For example, I might get into flame wars with pro-choice people, and I’d believe that my cyberbullying was somehow Christian in nature (LOL). I gave up social media for Lent this year, and I never reactivated my accounts after Easter. I’m so much happier, kinder, and more focused on what really matters these days. I actually have time for exercise, prayer, and hobbies because I’m not doomscrolling and responding to inflammatory posts. My pro-life zeal is much better served by saying the rosary than by engaging in completely uncharitable arguments with online strangers. Sometimes I miss the ability to make a status and put my thoughts out there for people to praise or criticize, but I realize that what I was doing was seeking attention and indulging my pride. I don’t need to be heard all the time. More often than not, I need to listen and respond in love and kindness. Getting off social media has been the best thing for my spiritual life, my soul, and my overall happiness.
Good point on the difficulty of expressing views 25 years ago. The ease of expressing opinion now is just as easy for the cynical or ill informed as it is for the sharp or insightful persons. Perhaps the real problem is that we are flooded with opinions, that we notice the loud and cynical views more, and that the quiet voice of reason and even revelation require time and thought that most are unwilling to give. We, in the aggregate, have a short span of attention and wish to be fed our thoughts in tiny and exciting mouthfuls. Our rejection of other views mirrors this mile-wide-foot-deep tendency.
Mindful responsiveness is the result of a daily practice. Richard Rohr, Franciscan, offers a simple but extremely effective practice that enables mindful responsiveness: daily 20 minutes of silence-generative sitting. Once you are triggered, you are hooked, hence we need to create a different neuro-pathway. Levy Shalom
@@ryanscottlogan8459 ....With a comment like yours is it any surprise that We Catholics are our own worst enemies , when we accuse a zealous Franciscan a heretic . And I am not kidding because his advice was excellent.
Dear Bishop Barron , thank you for teaching an excellent lesson about this important subject.. I needed to hear how to handle this vicious issue.. “ Wait till that sting gets over before you respond “ very true. …! Thank you for all you do . Thank you Brandon . God bless n stay blessed . 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Greetings and prayers from SF 🙏🏽
It's important as Christians not to get caught up in the culture of animosity prevalent on the Web. If you have a disagreement, one can express one's opinion with charity and diplomacy. In fact one's point is more effective when expressed this way.
Most people that comment negatively or positively will offend someone in some way at some point. Take nothing personally. Folks don't know you. God does.
If I respond to inaccuracies about the Catholic faith, I try to state the facts out of love. In the end after a snarky comment regarding the facts, I tell the person or people that God loves them very much, and I share the simple gospel message. When more hate comes in response, I turn off notifications on the post. You never know who might have a change of heart about God and the Catholic Church when they read my response. It might be a long shot, but replying with love no matter the hate spewed is always the way to comment if a Catholic comments. When someone is snarky or hateful, it shows more about them than the person they spew at. I haven't always responded that way in the past. But at one point, I had a change of heart, and remembered that we must be different and understand that sharing God's love and offer of salvation to everyone in a non accusatory, humble way is our calling. I say it in a universal way and do not make it personal toward the other person.
Higher ups treat us with contempt in the workplace. Still there are ppl who support them since they are from same community !!!!!!!! What a strange world we live in.??!!Soooo very crushed by it
I don't know if this is correct but it seems all Christians have an easy time believing that the Holy Spirit appeared in the form of Fire and another time as sounds of wind. God appeared as a burning bush is believed by most. Jesus comes as the BREAD And WINE but i think people can't believe it because IT IS GOD right there in hand and it is just too remarkable to comprehend. We have Jesus right there just as the disciples had the tongues of Fire appear on their heads. A miracle is happening right in our hands.
The reason why there’s a culture of contempt is because there’s a huge deficit of trust, not just of our leaders but in each other! I am going going to be honest I am not trusting of my fellow humans myself despite me trying my best to practice Christian charity towards others! But even many Christians I find are more than willing to be apart of the world instead of being just in it!
@Spence What you said is my experience also. To put it another way, our culture has lost the fruit of the Spirit, Reverence. We falsely, unjustly revere ungodly things instead of revering God & things of God. Our American institutions we also once revered have been hollowed out & corrupted. Society needs to be rightly ordered again starting with reverence for God.

*Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up those things that are wanting of the sufferings of Christ, in my flesh, for his body, which is the church* "
The Head of the Church, Jesus Christ, already suffered.
Bless you! ❤️🙏♥️
@Dale Lerette Last year I read an otherwise forgettable book that had a memorable short appendix on how impact people as a believer in today's postmodern secular American culture. I remember two suggestions in particular:
@@alanadam718 I love both.
Read the Holy Bible (KJV) daily and every time before you read, pray to the Father and ask:
"Lord I ask that you give me understanding of your word, that I interpret it the way you want me to, and none of my own. I ask you in Jesus' name, amen."
Revelation 22:8-9 KJV
8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
Acts 2:38 KJV
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Luke 11:13 KJV
13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
John 14:21-24 KJV
21 *He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.*
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, *If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.*
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and *the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.*
3 John 1:11 KJV
11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. *He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.*
1 John 3:6-10 KJV
6 *Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.*
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: *he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.*
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 *Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.*
10 *In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God,* neither he that loveth not his brother.
We will pray for you
For sure the Rosary is one of the most power prayer. Greetings from brazil

pretty annoying actually.
Since Lent, I stopped using Facebook, reading the news and got rid of the apps, etc., and I am much calmer and happier. And I don't miss any of it.

I like that: seek out the good media, try to discipline yourself and stay away from the negative and toxicity of the not so good.
"Contempt is the weapon of the weak and a defence against one's own despised and unwanted feelings." *- Alice Miller*
Contempt then proceeded to overthrow oppressive governments when pushed to far, just saying.
This is the same psychoanalyst who championed against corporal punishment and yet whose own children were beaten in her presence by her husband whom she divorced? The same woman who committed suicide because she wanted to control her death and suffering? Great choice for a Catholic posting.

Thank you Bishop and Brandon. We need to work hard to make social media an instrument of peace, unity, and goodness.

I can't agree.
I am always blessed by listening to Bishop Barron. Today did not vary.

A favourite of mine is Proverbs 26:4-5, New American Bible (Revised Edition)
4 Do not answer fools according to their folly,
lest you too become like them.
5 Answer fools according to their folly,
lest they become wise in their own eyes.
Just looked up this verse, this is a great reference for modern political or moral conversation. Thanks for sharing!
Bishop Barron, it is so true I am going to detox. I'm going to do something totally crazy read a good book and write. I enjoy this podcast. Thank You both. ❣😃✌God Bless You
Our Bishop really inspired me at the beginning of the year with his sermon about learning to “respond, not react”. :)
Thank you, your Excellency, for all that you do and for Word on Fire!
The best way to respond is with a prayer for the person!
The culture is waiting for the Church to speak truthfully on Catholic Social Teaching and her members are instead remaining silent, out of fear or pride.
Things will continue to decline rapidly so long as we remain silent about the economic abuse of the young and working class. Period. It’s so simple it’s easy to look right past it.
as per fr Baron we should pray for you God Bless

I like the idea of reducing our time on social media
I love social media but am also aware of the downside of social media
Pulling ourselves away from social media would not be easy but we could do it if we as a culture put our minds to it
Hard part would getting others on board
As a construct, I understand the communion (or unity) of truth and goodness as the beautiful. In other words, the beautiful is the glorious communion of truth and goodness (26:30)

I mostly watch catholic videos on youtube. keeps me more into my faith and ignore other stuff that is mean and such .
A great discussion on an important topic thanks I turn off all devices at least one day every week.
The discussion about arguments is very helpful. Thank you.

It's important as Christians not to get caught up in the culture of animosity prevalent on the Web. If you have a disagreement, one can express one's opinion with charity and diplomacy. In fact one's point is more effective when expressed this way.

That is a MASSive spiritual Rosary Garden. 🙏📿🔔🌹🙏
After I receive the lord in communion I say lord may those who meet me meet you, thank you.
I do daily Rosary so ....
necessary book
John also has a weekly show called _Last week in the Church_ here on UA-cam where he editorializes on the events of the previous week.
Ohhh That John Allen? I try to avoid topical programming but I've seen "Last week..." and it's really good for newsy stuff
It's also about dollars. What gets clicks means eyeballs, and more eyeballs mean more advertising dollars.
I’m kinda new to all this but I just ordered This is My Body can’t wait to read it
An important issue!
Jr 17,5
Do you mean "a part of the world" or "apart(seperated) from the world"?
@Spence What you said is my experience also. To put it another way, our culture has lost the fruit of the Spirit, Reverence. We falsely, unjustly revere ungodly things instead of revering God & things of God. Our American institutions we also once revered have been hollowed out & corrupted. Society needs to be rightly ordered again starting with reverence for God.
Thank you! Excellent show! 🙏🏻
I have so much respect for Bishop Barron. It is shocking to hear him continually affirm evolution.
Wish we could get Bishop Barron's books in S Africa.
How I avoid all that is watch the videos and if I read something contemptuous. I leave it and pray to the Holy Spirit asking if I even need to respond.
I'm still not a catholic , but I'm interested again.
Free speech is good unless people say things I don't like is a hell of a take
Thank you❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏
