Kay: What to do if your peaks don't peak! (do to making them in a plastic bowl or your eggs were slightly too old for the job or you forgot you were supposed to make your eggs room temp first!) Make marshmallow coconut cookies. Add lots of coconut flakes(like two cups) maybe a binding agent like sweet rice flour (you don't have to but they do turn out better!) and a half a cup more sugar. Hope I helped those who had their project fail. Also they look good as unicorns! But I would suggest making them into Persian cats!
A question. So I wanted to color the macarons. Should I add the color in when I'm mixing the wet and dry ingredients? Also when we mix we have to fold the batter right? You know for air and stuff.

How many tries does it take to make good macarons (with all the classic characteristics -- smooth tops and feet)? I know it's time consuming to make them and you have to be ever so careful with the details... I've never tried and I was wondering if it's possible to get it right on the first try?
I made these but my batter was too thick.. it was so hard to mix. Anyone know why it came to be like that? I think it’s because my almond powder wasn’t fine enough.
Kawaiisweetworld did you know you can make your own almond flour? You just buy almonds and blend it in the blender and it will become powder which is almond flour.
I have tried to make macarons before but when I baked it the outside was golden brown, you can see the brown specks of the almond and it didn't have the "feet" on it please tell me what I've done wrong.
