I've listened to some songs on youtube. I saw those pics of him playing live w Dizzie Gillipsie, on an electric guitar, but couldn't find any live footage. I was born in 61 and literally grew up listening to bossa nova because of my mom. And then as I got older and weaned out the rock stage, found guys like Lee Ritenour, Pat Metheny, Larry Carlton, et al. Did Bola know Wes Montgomery? I will have to get some CDs and check out your site - thanks!

Bola's life and story is perfectly well-suited for this program! It's not like 60 Minutes with only a couple of huge current, topical stories. The Morning program (90 minutes long) goes for the stories that fell through the cracks, the niche, the unique, the off the beaten track stories. Just this past Sunday they did a segment on people who collect toasters! Hey, in this instant, viral world, the worst they could do was say "thanks, but no thanks." Who knows!
great intro by Sete. he's playing accompaniment and main melodic line at same time. making one guitar sound like two. not just finger-picking chords which is easy.

They made such beautiful music, that will live on and on. Someone needs to make a movie about them. Paul Giamatti should play Vince, hands down, still thinking about who should play Bola - any ideas?

I only recently discovered him and can't believe I am chatting w his very nice, talented widow. I have told a good bud of mine about you and Bola's music, with requisite youtube links, and he told me to tell you "blessings" He was blown away.
Just googled "Bola Sete wife." Wow! Read a beautiful story about how you met him, moving into an apartment and on a warm and balmy day, he had his door open and was playing the guitar. Just beautiful, beautiful!

One of my favorite programs is the CBS Sunday Morning Show. Gosh, a segment on Bola and you would be so perfect. I can think of several "angles" they could cover. Would be so cool to coincide with the new CD release. Do you/the estate have a press agent? I am Facebook "friends" with a couple of the reporters. I may try to plant a seed, if you don't mind! BTW, how is "Sete" pronounced? "Setie" or "Set" etc?

Well, I'm sure Giamatti can't play piano, so the guy playing Bola doesn't have to necessarily play the guitar - ha! Their live rendition on youtube of "Star Song" is simpley divine! It would make a fantastic, small, independent flick.
