About Pete And His Bus: Pete is a normal (ish) guy who has a big passion for old vehicles and particularly old buses. He is NOT a trained mechanic nor is he a professional restorer. He enjoys converting vehicles but he can not promise that what he is doing is going to work on your vehicle. Nor can he promise that you won’t harm yourself if you were you to attempt the things he does. He recommends that you are safe and responsible with machinery and equipment even if you’ve seen him messing about with it. A workshop and it’s content can be a dangerous place. If you are in doubt about your own vehicle, contact a professional for advice. - Розваги

I can’t even drive but I love old buses and your enthusiasm is captivating - I reckon you spend more than you earn doing all this old vehicle stuff - you are definitely living the dream and we are all loving being on the journey with you.. thank you 😊

Genevieve was actually there, she’s in one of the opening shots 👍👍👍
Ha! Didn't expect to see Lenco's when I started watching... brilliant bunch, helped me a time or too and used to be my local motor parts store. Well done with the London to Brighton- people think it's just a bit of a laugh until they have a go, actually quite a big deal. I was on the run last year, won't forget the weather in a hurry..
Yeah Lenco rock! The weather last year was a nightmare.. it was like a monsoon!! Thanks for watching 👍👍👍
Yay to you guys!! What a great accomplishment!
Thanks so much!!
So many adventures in one upload, absolutely brilliant. Thank you for sharing this with us all 💪👍
I nearly made it two separate vids but it had been a while so I thought I'd make it a bumper edition. Glad you enjoyed it
@@PeteAndHisBus you definitely made the right decision, was absolutely brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed it
Lovely. I used to live in Brighton, the veteran car run went past my flat. I have lent tools and made cups of tea for the drivers and crew. This is one of the best videos so far, thanks Pete and his bus(es) plus a steam car.
Lovely, thanks so much for your kind words 👍👍👍
Absolutely amazing well done
Thank you! Cheers!
Such a joy!
❤️👍
Love steam cars. Something about a car made with wood you have to set fire to before you can use it I like 👍
haha excellent! Thanks for watching
How amazing was that, driving other buses and taken part in the London to Brighton Rally, you have a busy couple of months!❤😊
Good times 👍👍👍
Had earned three thumbs up. At least ! Thanks for sharing. :-)
👍👍👍
Hello Pete & Compo!

Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for your kind words
I didn't realise that I liked buses until I discovered this channel. Lovely content Pete - keep it coming.
haha brilliant! Thanks for your support
I used to watch these pass me near the Imperial War museum as a kid , about 60 yrs ago , so these vehicles were nearly new then .lol.
😂😂 brilliant!
Video made me smile.
That’s all that matters! ❤️
Well done Richard 👏👏👏👏👏 great episode 👍🏼👍🏼
Yep, the man did good!!
Class pete....
❤️👍
awesome. proper lovely.
Thank you
Wow, what a corker of a video! Fantastic stuff, congrats to all concerned.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
Well what a brilliant episode Pete!
It’s good to see the promotional buses .. with these wraps .. they can retain their original paint scheme underneath .. and hopefully the original interiors are stored safely too (so could be re-installed at a later date).
Love the veteran car London to Brighton run .. been a good few years since I went down to Brighton to watch them arrive … massive congratulations to Richard in getting his steamer down there to complete the run!
And just by chance I was watching the film Genevieve last night … a lot of that was filmed on the roads in South Buckinghamshire near to Pinewood Studios .. including the ford that they had to push the car out of … have been through that ford in an RF!
Exellent! Genevieve and the Spyker actually features in my vid near the beginning of the clip. The original seats are ready to go in that bus whenever needed and the fit out will literally pull out. The best compromise if you ask me. Thanks for watching!
love your videos this one was the best great job by the whole team
Thanks so much!
I am amazed by the scale of preparations on those promotion busses. The clients are willing to go throug with. Your London to Brighton run was just epic!
Keep these brilliant videos comming!
Yep, they really do go all out! It’s obviously important for them to gather the data people give em. Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching 👍👍
Congratulations
Thanks
@@PeteAndHisBus hey pete when i was younger in Cardiff Western Welsh had buses that looked like routemasters but had a folding door at the front left hand side as you got on the stairs to the upper Saloon was in front of you and the conductor stood by the doorway the interior on the frame walls looked like blue shiney formica I have always loved those buses not sure if they were AEC Renowns or Aec lowdeckers or what the emergency exit door in the downstairs saloon was at the back on the left hand side as you looked up from the front.
I would love to own one or be a part owner of one but dont know what they were i have been following your blog since you started but now retired i have some te on my hands and live in Sutton surrey.
Fantastic video Pete. Inspiring and entertaining - keep up the amazing work, you have a great life.
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it!
Loved the London to Brighton
👍👍👍
Just admit it Pete, that first bus was going faster home, cos they gave you a new pair of high heels to drive home in, you just didn’t pan the camera down….lol😂😂
How do you know 👍👍😂😂😂😂
Hi Pete, another great video. Look forward to each one. Well done on all of your efforts.
Thanks so much
Merry Christmas happy holidays to you 🎄Pete and bus

I love the driving around London in an a RM.
And glad Richard didmt sell his steam car, the london to Brightons bits was fab. Glad you all made it there. Well done to you all.
Roll on for the next episode Pete.
P.s there wasnt any subtitles on this but I didnt mind as it was a fab episode 👍
👍❤️
Hi Pete, I must have enjoyed that as much as you did great video and great work by you all well done.⭐️⭐️👍👍✅
👍❤️
What a fab video! As always a great channel!
Thanks so much!
Congrats to the crew for making it to Brighton.
Indeed! Thanks
Seeing a Routemaster on the streets of London always saddens me these days. My reason is simple: I just wish that the RMs and RMLs were all still transporting the London public around the capital as they were made to do.
I know, I know, things have to move on, technologies change, transport must be up-to-date etc, etc, etc, but London is a massive concoction of Ancient and Modern and I wish that harmony could have been extended to include our glorious 'routers!'
Yes, I'm a dinosaur, but London is slowly losing its Britishness, something I believe should be a cause for concern. Rant over!! 😌
North Finchley Running Day Sun 19th Nov. RML 883 I think is planned to be running (one of the Waterloo heritage use fleet ) plus RTs etc from London Bus Co and London Bus Museum (FY Closure rememberance) Camden Town running day was last sunday, plenty of local people quite impressed - I went on RT/RTW and XF so I suppose I should find a RM/L next week!)
If you spend an average day in central London, you’ll be AMAZED at how many Routemasters are running around with people on board of them. There are even more of them in the weekend ferrying all the tourists around. So, they might not be being used by TFL in an official capacity but the city is full of em.. so I wouldn’t worry too much, ya can’t kill a Routie
Brilliant
Thanks
Great long video. Good editing and excellent content. You're one of the good guys Pete. Looking forward to your next video.
Very sweet of you to say! Thanks for watching
Brilliant!
Thank you
Another cracking video :)
Thanks
Good to see you made it to Brighton this time What a journey though. Talk about battery cars exploding in flames LOL Enjoyed seeing your bus trip North too.
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching. 👍👍
Great video Pete loved seeing all your exploits all over the UK in different busses looked like a great time with the bonus of being paid for it wooohooo. then the London to Brighton congrats to all off you a real sence off achievement despite the stressfull bonfires at the start and it looked like the car romped it up Clayton Hill on the aproach to Brighton.. must have been a great feeling crossing the finish line... I did notice at the beginning some of the wheels wobbling slightly, guess a good service and some maintenance is required over the winter months so in tip top condition for next year.. well done guys and well done on a great video..
Robb Torremolinos Spain 😀
Thanks for watching! Yeah the wheels were a real concern at the end but she held in there. 👍❤️
Oh Pete . This was an epic video I’m so glad the Stanley finished it performed wonderfully
Congratulations to all of you on this emotional trip👍🏻
Thanks so much, really glad you enjoyed it
Brilliant !! Well done all !
❤️
Awesome episode, well done 👍🏻
Thank you! 👍
Great video Pete 😊
Thanks 👍
Hi pete im loving this video cheers mate 😃
Glad you enjoyed it 👍👍
Fantastic fun. Ironically I think I'd probably give the steam car a whirl, but oddly nothing would induce me to ride in the Moke instant death-mobile. In my youth I once drove one around a boarding school playing field... never again! Glad you made it to the finish and good luck for next year.
Haha, the steamer is SO much more dangerous… 😂👍
Amazing feat to make it to Brighton, well done to all involved!
thanks
Absolutely Awesome Video. As car mad kid ,and growing up near Brighton, going to the veteran car run with my Dad was a massively highlight every year. This has bought back some great memories of nearly 50 years ago. I love all the bus content as well !
Awwh that's great! So glad you enjoyed it.
Would have been great to see you in Newcastle, shame I didnt know you were coming, as I said would have made the effort with my Ex Tractor Fan joke! Also sorry about the rubbish weather that day, we dont always have 'light rain' 😉😉 sometimes we get heavy rain and us Geordies have to put a coat on! 🙃
😂😂 it was all a little last minute so didn’t post it up. But do put all info on Facebook so if you follow me on there you’ll know for next time! Xmas tour coming up
Great episode, Pete. I'm glad you made it to Brighton. Saw the car go through Salfords.
You have been very busy since your last film.
Excellent! 3 days of editing to get the vid out today but it was all totally worth it
Great to see you that day I was wondering if you were going to do a video 👍🏼
And you! There’s always a vid 😂😜👍
Pete that open top bus looks like a bus i would have work on in Ireland the were known as a RA.
👍👍
Gefeliciteerd met de glorieuze overwinning !!
Dank u wel!
top car nice greetings from germany👍
Thank you! 👍
Looks like the others got inspired by your black painted wheels. They look great on the more modern deckers.
Looks like plenty more to go wrong with the dash lights and skew-whiff steering wheel 🙄.
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang showed what is possible lol.
Not my bus, not my problem!!! 😜😂👍
Did the Mini Moke have the 998cc? Many say they were the best motor.
Australia built them too until 1980 including a popular one called the Californian which had larger sunraysia style wheels, galvanised body and the 1275cc engine.
Yes, another pahb 😊
❤️❤️
Wow 44 seconds ago and over nine hundred likes already. 👍
👍👍
Done this route on the london too brighton on the bus run
Oh that’s be a rather chilled out day! Should’ve taken my bus, certainly easier 😂😂😂
Pete, that was another wonderful moment of entertainment. That steam car seemed to have great acceleration out of Trafalgar Square and elsewhere. And did I see it sitting next to another, almost identical model at one point towards the end of the video. But the main question I ask myself, is did the shoe company provide your wife with a pair of those very sensible looking walking shoes? Tom (from France)
With those shoes being about £1000 per set that was a hard no! 😂👍 our steamer was next to another Stanley steamer. That one belongs to Andy Green, the fastest man in the world. Google him, he’s epic!
Did you have fun this year doing the London to Brighton route Pete
Does the video not tell you!? 😂😂
@PeteAndHisBus yes it does glad you enjoyed it. I hope you get to do it again next year
London wonderful and beautiful? I can only assume there must be two cities called London.
Too cramped, too noisy, too congested, even for old buses like RM’s.
😂😂
😂😂
Wow what an enjoyable video
& a good weekend run to
Brighton, l went to an hearing
impaired school called
Ovingdean hall for the Deaf
l heard it has changed to an
Academy training school.
back to the video, l think a
few videos ago , l said to
you Pete to grow your business buying & fixing
RT & RM Buses mainly to
keep many on the road
Blah blah blah , cos there
is business to be had , so
it is really a win - win .🤣
God Bless, from Charlie in
Melbourne Australia 😁😁
Quite nice to drive them adl double deckers, use them for the school runs at the place i work, not so fond of hills mind you lol
That’s right, all is well on the flat 😂😂👍
@@PeteAndHisBus ours are ez Dublin ones with 4 speed box, struggle after 40 mph lol
