Honestly I needed this, I was surprised when I first started making these jokes people supported it, I started getting more edgy and let the views get to me and I acted and said more edgy things to keep it up, and not a single time I was called out. Im really happy and appreciative to have a very supportive fan base but i realise I have many young viewers and how bad the consequences of my actions can be, thanks for making this video without attacking me and moving forward I won’t be making blatant racist, sexist and other type of jokes how i did in this video, if I did offend anyone I’m sorry and I didn’t mean it. Btw if Im being honest that first thumbnail was for clickbait, but of course I realised maybe it was too much and removed it.
Fair enough dude. You're young and you're gunna make mistakes. Taking responsibility is very good. Hope you work on creating "healthier" content for the kids that watch.

"offenable" "some people" dude, please dont try to be objective. pick a side please, dont green light toxicitiy. idk, edgy humor will hurt some. but this is why im legit NOT a subscriber of his. funny is one thing, edgy is pushing it, but offensive is when a person goes too far, and while i know hes good natured and not truly meaning to be racist. he does have a following where he creating a toxic environment where blacks are being singled out and making jokes about slavery. thats not funny, neither is making light of the plight of jews, ukraini folks, or palestenians. and from the looks of crusher im guessing hes pardon my crudeness is of "gypsy" origin. so you would think a person who comes from a ethnic group used to being called a slur would have a bit of restraint.
I have watched him when he started, he's funny but I feel like he started finding that edgy videos get more interactions and views in general, it was funny when he did it once, probably didn't mean it, came to mind, but the way he started completely basing his content on that is just something else
I think is funny when it is "random", bc, you know, you dont expect someone on the internet to do that kind of "Jokes" (dark humor). But in the last video, idk bro, it didnt feel funny at all, basing an entire video on the n word is kinda bad tbh.
That’s fine, the point is there are black people out there who do care and find this type of shit offensive. Hell, I find it funny, but other people don’t.
@@jaishkhan7442 to be frank, I think the real problem here is just Crusher having an audience of kids. I’m all for dark humor in private friend groups where it’s not gonna hurt anyone. But if he’s gonna be repeating that type of stuff to kids, they’re gonna repeat it elsewhere. For every joke that’s gonna hurt a very few amount of people, it’s still gonna end up doing just that when it’s fed to so many children. That’s really all. I’m not an ethnic scientist. A little note I’d like to make. Crusher is British so blackface in the uk doesn’t have the same meaning it does in the us which may have contributed to him doing it in the video. Obviously I have no knowledge on if crusher does know about blackface and what it means but I’m just saying he may have been unaware of the fact that was offensive.
As a Crusher viewer, I agree with most things you said. But in my opinion, I belive that he shouldnt go too far because of his younger audience that could see this behavior as acceptable, as you said in the video. Besides that, I know that he is just making jokes and trying to entertain his viewers and not actually trying to offend people.
Yeah I agree with you but I feel there’s another party to blame, the children’s parents, they should be monitoring what their children are being exposed to and watching, personally if I had a child depending on how developed they are I either wouldn’t let them watch crusher or wouldn’t mind as long as they are aware that sense of humor is bad and I mean bad in terms of offensive and stuff but personally I find that sense of humor funny and I’d love to have the same sense of humor as my child so we can have fun and laugh together
The only gripe I have with that kind of content is that I imagine a younger person watching it and sharing that same type of humor anywhere outside and being mocked or ostracized. Yeah, most kids are edgy but I get so uncomfortable knowing that there's an outlet for it rather than them just interacting with normal people, peers, or adults accordingly.
I feel like American are way too touchy on racism, I understand the history and the oppressions against races in the past &stuff but this is just sad Yes people "could" be offended by crusher21 Yes his content is probably not very suitable for young kids But guess what, I still enjoy his videos His content is great, in an overly sensitive and morally correct modern media, he is like a much needed breath of fresh air Words themselves don't hurt anyone, it's the intent behind them that does People say crusher21 has gone too far I say they have gone too far

This is valid, aside from the “words themselves don’t hurt anyone” line. You have to realize that edgy jokes DO inadvertently make people upset, joke or not because they’re just making fun of certain people. Some find it funny, but some people have no reason not to be upset, as if they were just insulted. It’s as simple as that. The fact that the stereotype could exist at all in peoples minds just makes people angry.

I agree that it was a little too much, but all sensible people who watch crusher know that he was not being serious about the jokes. The jokes are used as a way to make fun of people who are actually racist. Also edge like his is not very common on the platform and is different, which is what I think makes crusher fun to watch, since it was so out of pocket that it was unexpected and funny, much like Bill Burr or Jimmy Carr. I think that if you don't like the content, just don't watch the videos. They are not made to offend anyone, but are only made to have fun. He isn't serious about any of the comments he makes and although this video may have been a bit jarring, it is the type of content many of his watchers subscribed for.
Crusher 21 literally made Clash Royale relevant, without his edgy humor, I think I will stop caring about Clash Royale again, I literally stopped caring for this game like 4.5 years ago, and when I saw memes of this guy, I just started caring for Clash Royale again. They maybe very offensive, especially for high-sensitive community like the GenZ's. But this guy is too entertaining to be canceled. For Now.
I 100% agree with your first point! I’ve barely played CR for 3+ years, but watching Crusher21’s videos made me realize how fun this game can be. Now it’s one of my favorite games again
The point of this kind of video should be to help crusher out by warning him and gently pushing him back to where he is not crossing the line between a regular joke and something legitimately offensive, (not to cancel/tear anyone down) and I think that it was executed well so I should applaud you on how this was done. Once crusher gives a fair response and starts taking action toward it, I believe this video should be unlisted so crusher won't be bothered when he already has made changes to become better. Regardless, such things await in the future and everything is up to you, boss.
@P. sherman I'm not gonna stop support and I am a black man who does not even use the n word I just found it funny because it was clearly a joke and I am tired of people that are not black speaking up on our issues that we have zero problem with.
@@mjisdabest1760I used to not care if someone said something racist or related to slavery, then there was an incident that happened with me and a friend in which others opened my eyes to the issue. Imo, neither boss nor crushers apology nor boss’s comment was soft. He is currently being wise not woke. Don’t be edgy.
If I'm being honest here, Its not that I find the racism or sexism part of his channel funny, it's sort of how unhinged he could get is why I'm watching him
Yeah it's more about him screaming that's funny, tbh I think if he stopped being racist people would still love him or love him even more. What's funny is not about him being offensive but more about being crazy
Top comment on crusher's last vid- shows you if people are actually offended "Glad there's people like Crusher out there who makes jokes they think are funny instead of letting themselves be filtered by peer-pressure from the masses. So tired of internet police trying to dictate what allowed and isn't allowed, especially when it comes to online humor"
Yeah but the problem with this kinda thinking is that there is a large demographic of kids like from 6-12 who watch his videos and don't understand that it's a joke. This isn't about being "peer-pressured from the masses" It's about accountability & blatant ignorance. Imagine a generation of kids just screaming the n word & talking about women in a sexist way? if Crushers "online humor" consists of only those type of jokes then there's obviously a problem & I mean if you can't see that too then ya might wanna take a long look in the mirror gng
That person is probably a teenager or adult though. Somebody that understands what’s comedy and what’s not. An 8 year old kid doesn’t. That’s where the problem comes in.
I don’t know if you changed your mind in the previous 11 months, but this is middleschool humor, but whatever floats your boat. There's a nuance that a lot of people just don't seem capable of understanding since they take everything literally. Crusher isn't racist he just saying the most offensive things we all know are bad and that's what makes it funny. People aren't just furiously thinking of black people negatively all the time. It's like when people joke about gassing people or 9/11 we know it's seriosly bad stuff and the fact that it's even said in a non-serious situation makes it funny.
The problem with that kind of humor is that his audience is full of 6-12 year olds who don’t even know what the word “nuance” means. Children take everything literally.
I understand what dark humor is but going around making straight racist offensive jokes is not ok, not saying he did that but there is a line, especially with a child audience

While I agree with everything you've said, I'm baffled with this phenomenon of white people getting offended on behalf of black people. Feels like white person savior complex to me. If a black person had raised this issue, then I'd have supported him a 100%. In your case, if you're worried about children being exposed to unhealthy content or crusher going too far, then contacting him privately to call him out would have been the right thing to do. I agree that since he's a public figure, then he should be open to public criticism. But as a fellow content creator, and taking into consideration his young age and the fact that we all do dumb stuff from time to time, reaching out to him without creating somewhat of an online ruckus would be the best thing to do. After all that, if he's still set in his ways, then you'd be right in making a public criticism. No offence boss, but this feels like virtue signaling to me. I may have misperceived your intent and you might just have done this on impulse, in which case I apologize.
Good comment. Needs to be higher, hopefully this reply can help a bit. Hoping to see him make a follow up vid where he addresses concerns (actual concerns and not "L bozo" type comments from Crusher's fans) from people who disagree with how he's handling the situation
I think the last thing Boss was trying to do in this video was cause a ruckus. Occasionally, Crusher will appear in my shorts and I just really don't care. It does strike a wrong chord with me each time however. When taking this into account, seeing this video, I felt like he was sending this just as a message to the people to not be apathetic and also to Crusher, and doing this was the right thing to do. Very little could've changed if it was in a private message anyways. I don't think this video is white people getting offended on behalf of others, it just sort of makes us feel iffy watching content like this. I don't think race should come in as a factor for something mostly based off common sense. "Don't cross the line of a joke" Many people do jokes like this all the time, like Aljokes, but it is done in moderation and is often quite humorous. Very obviously Crusher's content is for a different audience, but it has negative effects on the audience. I have seen personally people taking what big influencers say like the Messiah said it. This leads to an overall lessening in humanity's social values that took years to build up. This video is not a white person speaking for a black person, but rather just someone saying what they think. Lastly, this likely wouldn't qualify as virtue signaling. He didn't make this video to seem good, he made this video because it was something that he felt the people should be notified about. Thank you for reading.
@@benjamincharlton1388 Assuming very little would have changed after a private conversation is a bleak mindset to have. My whole point is that Boss should've given him the benefit of the doubt (by way of private chat) before bringing this up publicly. As for your claim that this video is not a white person speaking for a black person, well, I don't agree. Around 9:35, Boss himself claimed that being white, he wasn't offended by crusher's video but many black people were. I can't interpret this in any other way than boss being offended on behalf of black people. Finally, as I've said, the manner in which boss has called crusher out feels like virtue signaling to me. This might not have been Boss' intention, he might've done this without thinking too much about it.
@@logicweaver7152 I apologize for not watching the whole video through. One thing however, is that we don't know whether or not he already sent something in private.

Yep, though he should diversify the types of people he makes fun of more frequently. I respect that he spoke without fear of retaliation from the mob, but that particular video leaned too heavily on a specific group of people which is why some users are dogpiling on it
Yeah like its just jokes. Too far would be if he picked on someone personally. But there will be always some people getting triggered. Better ignore them.
To be fair, I don't think calling racist jokes "racist" and mean should be considered "better" because it is not as if jokes were there to attck people, they are there to entertain. I love dark humor, and comparing it to actual problems is dumb. Yes of course, saying that I have a black friend doesn't mean anything, but if he is fine with my jokes, I don't see how that makes me racist.
@EternalDead Evidently you are also a kid, I said nothing about robots, I'm saying crusher is seeing his views go up, so he's making his videos crazier and crazier, as his community won't draw a line as to what is too far.
People nowadays can't take humor without being ofended, if you're offended, just not, he isn't attacking you he is making dumb jokes that make us laugh, and the "Can somebody think about the kids" argument is dumb af, this is the exact same as saying that kids playing GTA become serial killers, there's a difference between fiction and reality. -Signed, a black man.

Then you went against the flow, and it was true, and quite a bit of people actually twitted on the Crusher's side, but in a way that they were protecting him incorrectly. This is one of the best videos I have ever seen in the CRL community due to expressing your opinion about something wrong. But things that people tend to be quiet on to not get into some kind of problem or to not join that problem. Actively trying to ignore the fact that his videos are always full of jokes and not to be taken seriously is kinda shady. You say his audience thinks the things he says in the video are serious sexist/racist and not a joke yet you literally show the comments where majority of the people clearly do see them as just offensive jokes. Seems like this video is actively trying to ride the yt algorithm that Crushers videos get recommend in, i mean you literally used his deleted thumbnail to try and clickbait views.

Honestly, most content creators will stay silent and act like they didn't see anything, not saying they are bad, just meaning that they will not want to get into controversial things. Therefore, I really respect you, Boss, this time not as a fan but as a person in a society looking at what is morally right or wrong. We really have to agree whether is too far or not. That is a basic human moral that we have. Therefore we have to keep and not cross the line, or else that breaks the relationship of respect with others. I am really thankful to you for making this kind of video, and I will always support you. Hope my support is the smallest support you will receive because others will give better and bigger support in the future. But also, I am your fan!!! 😎

I think the problem with crusher is that his humor relies only on crude and edgy jokes , those kinds of jokes can work if you use them with moderation , but he uses it all the time and gets old quickly . The first video I watched of his I thouth it was funny , but by the forth video it started to get pretty staled tbh
He is just a teen making inmature jokes , im sure he will grow out of them sooner or later . Cause dark humor is not simply saying the n word 24/7

No surprise that other 'serious' clash royale content creators dislike him for the sole reason of him getting more views just by being a clown.
Agreed. This needs to be higher up. I'd love to see him respond to this as I haven't seen him reply to any comments disagreeing with his view. Maybe he's making a follow up vid, who knows. Though it's a shame I had to scroll this far down to see a comment that actually had logic applied to it instead of just another unoriginal dunk on Crusher or one of Crusher's fans saying "stay mad" or something

IShowSpeed is black. A black man calling another black man the n word carries a completely different connotation from a white man doing it.
