@*Angel* Yt You are the only person among the comments here, aswell as in a Facebook group with over 6000 people that the Kunai has not worked on the Lizards for then. Was tested over 50 times and is very clearly working for every single other person. Sorry it's not working for you, that's a downer.. If i find a reason why this might be happening for you, i'll get back to you on the topic.
@*Angel* Yt I tried out everything in the video beside the crabs and it all works 100%. He says right at the start you shouldnt run around just using Kunai to cut tails due to their low dps. You should have payed attention insted of acting like a bratty 8 year old because you couldnt get something to work. Same goes for the Lizards, it works without a doubt. You're clearly doing something wrong. It's easy to tell this guy puts in alot of work to make these videos for us, if you dont like it, thats cool. But calling an entire channel a "ripoff" because you cant get something to work ?? That's about as petty as it gets.
Realy simple. I work on videos early in the morning before work. So 95% of the time my friends or hunting partners will quite simply not be available. Cant realy go online and tell a group of randoms "Hey, all of you stop hitting the tail! i want to cut it with a kunai and record it for video footage!" lol.. So i ocasionally have to opt for recording some bits solo. Either way the struggle is far bigger solo anyway lol as only my two buddies chip in on the cutting damage 😄 untill i tell them to wait somewhere and finish it myself. Anyway, have a pleasant day ^_^
@*Angel* Yt Took me around 12 miuntes to cut a Anjanath Tail off with Kunais only & no pratice (granted Anja's Tail comes off easy tho). I'm an fps player, so aim probabbly played a big role. There's also a guy in the comments here who cut a Zino Tail in 8 minutes wich is damn impressive. I get it if u were frustrated, it takes hella time and isnt easy with kunai only. But lashing out aint the way. You're lucky this guy is being so cool about this, UA-cam doesnt take lightly to people throwing around "ripoff" claims.
You can also use Kunai on the Baby Shark/Leech creatures in the Winter Map. If a baby jumps onto you, it will latch on and drain your health to grow in size, but if you use your Kunai the moment it jumps onto you, you'll stab it and kill it instantly.
the game even tells you to use a Kunai. If the Zamite (that's what they're called) latch onto you at their smallest size, it's an instant kill with the kunai.
I'm unaware if this has already been posted, but I found out at some point that Felyne Hurler increases all Kunai damage by 50%. The Rampage Exploding Kunai deals 100 normally but I experienced that they did 150 after Felyne Hurler. Pretty neat, honestly.

You can also get them by attacking the lizards with your main weapon! Though using kunai should be overall easier (depending on your weapon of choice).
@@BigLord Yup, most weapon attacks will work aswell ^_^ someone in the comments described it pretty perfectly " the kunai is the cleanest & easiest" way to go about it for most cases
@@CharTheChair It's super useful. I made a post about it here earlier so I'll spare you the long of it... It makes my hunts shorter, because I can tack on damage during times I can't reach a monster [or their big moves mean I shouldn't be close anyways], and I've even knocked a Rathalos out of the sky with them a few times before. All without having to sheath. It's an amazing feeling.😂💗
I use the Kunai for clearing the spirit bird bushes. While you could just slash a weapon in most cases. Weapons like heavy bowguns would struggle with that unless you use ammo. Otherwise it's a very quick and clean way to clear the bush.
My dude, the light bowgun and heavy bowgun melee attack that you can do by hitting x and a at the same time clears the bushes out fairly quick as with proper positioning you can do most bush clusters in 2-3 hits
@@jyasensky I haven't played since vanilla MHGen, and I just thought you couldn't throw tranq bombs forward anymore. I feel so dumb not realizing that I could aim first.
Also, remember u can craft in quest different type of kunai, let's say u know the monster is weak to poison, but the weapon u use doesn't have a good poison option, then craft the kunai into said status, and do additional damage or effects while using ur main weapon. Edit. I was mistaken, it was knives in another MH game. Sad. Really thought th ey brought it bakc
I didn't know you could do that, it's like the para/poison/sleep knives from older games, I haven't seen that in the crafting menu so that's really cool
You can actually use Kunai to blow up Narwa's belly sac for 1000 damage. I'm not sure what the exact requirements are, you might have to have the part broken, or have a certain amount of damage on it. I also wonder if it's good for knocking down monsters that cling to walls and ceilings.
Yes on both 😄 - Narwa's Belly blows up after the damage on it reaches a certain threshold - You can knock Khezu & Tobikadachi of walls/ceilings for example 👍
The lizard thing is some new info to me, it's really good to know. I don't know how well known Kunai things are, but one thing that might be helpful which wasn't mentioned is that Kunai helps getting monsters off walls/ceilings by staggering them, like Khezu, Tobi, Bishaten and Ragna.
Happy to hear it was informative! Yup all sorts of wall/ceiling crawlers can be knocked down with it. Thanks for pointing it out here, some people might not know about it. This kind of interaction is great for the community 😊
You can use kunai to get stun by monster roar when you engage it. Just hit the monster with the kunai from a distant which will triggered the roar and than rush toward the monster to deal some free damage for a short time.
I didn’t realize the difference between the lizards. But you don’t have to hit him with a Kuna to get three drops you can hit them with your weapon as well.
Dude. I've been playing this game since release and never knew how important the kunai is. I've honestly only used it to set off barrel bombs but now I will use it to its full potential. Thank you for this video. This is a game changer! 👌🏾
kunai also give a little upwards boost if you use them in midair, which can be useful for wirebugging across big gaps. i didnt know about the lizard thing though, good video
Quick side mention: don't blow up barrel bombs on a sleeping monster with Kunai, it's a waste of boosted damage. Use your strongest attack to detonate them. Otherwise neat info my dude!
Precisely! Thanks for pointing it out to some of the newer players here Sharsis! I Apriciate your Feedback ! ^_^ The Kunai detonating is for weapons that dont allow you to get a wake up hit, and counter, or dodge through the explosion. Or when getting blasted away by the Bombs results in you actually loosing out on damage, due to the weapons strongest possible wake up hit not making up for the dps lost out on while the Monster is getting up.

you dont have to use the kunai to make the Lizards drop 3 shinys hitting them with your weapon works the same way
Yup, depends on the hit though. some will chase them off imideatly 😅
@@YokaiNox really?
I only tried it with IG so im guessing this only works on fast weapons
I use it to hunt monsters.
How did you get endless Kunais? 😁 btw great video! Thank you!
Kunais are unlimited 😄 you can use as many as you want.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it !👍🏽
@@YokaiNox ouh right 🤦🏻♂️😂😂 I recently started playing rise 😁
Kunais are sooo much better than knives in any aspect.
indeed man! very much so 👌
Another thing you can make sound with them and lead them to traps
Yup, right on the money. I'm suprised nobody is realy using them for it. You're one of the few that actualy realized this 😄👍
@@YokaiNox also if you sit still and use a kunai you can move a khezu away from you
Exactly 90 seconds after waching your video i kicked a lizard 🙈... Next time!
You'll get plenty of oportunities, the hunt must go on!😄
Where can i get gray seed to craft kunai? It's not in my crafting list
It's actually in the Video i uploadet yesterday 😄 Gray Seed makes the Exploding Kunai. You can only get them in Rampages
@@YokaiNox if i get gray seed from rampage, can it be reproduced in argosy?
@@jimwelmh1421 Sadly No, you cant take those with you from the Rampage. They are exclusive to it
@@YokaiNox i did a few rampage and got some kunai and maybe gray seed. But it's not in my inventory. Did i miss something? I really need a kunai for my teo run.
@@jimwelmh1421 You cant make the Exploding Kunais outside of Rampage. They only exist there.
It's like the items you get for free from the item box. After the quest you can not keep the Exploding Kunais.
I love ooo
The tail cutting is amazing but I think the one that takes it for me is the rock lizard item drops. That should be something a lot of people most likely don't know is a mechanic and is great.
Indeed! Glad you found it informative! trying to get the Information out there so everyone can benefit from it. Hard with my reach being super limted still tho atm. x)
Here i am been hitting my bomb with my oversized flute
Hey, thats a way to go aswell i guess ! :D
Personally I do x attack into shoryuuken when I hit my bombs. It feels NICE.
@@ShayZelle96 I cant resist doing it either alot of times xD
Kunai are a great addition to the game. They’re great for quick sheath builds and sword and shield users.
Very true! They are super convinient and make a great addition to certain playstyles & weapons.
Oh geez I didn't even think about sword and shield users with the kunai. I might try out S&S sometime just for that little gimmick. Lol
@@CharTheChair
It's super useful.
Man, the only time I used these was against bugs because I had a feeling that it would make them die normally instead of exploding.
Happy you found something new in here! ^_^
@@YokaiNox use poison bullets too
I use the Kunai for clearing the spirit bird bushes. While you could just slash a weapon in most cases. Weapons like heavy bowguns would struggle with that unless you use ammo. Otherwise it's a very quick and clean way to clear the bush.
Yup, i tend to do the same, or use the Palamute riding attacks (if i have my Palamute with me😅) Quick & Clean, you described it perfectly!
My dude, the light bowgun and heavy bowgun melee attack that you can do by hitting x and a at the same time clears the bushes out fairly quick as with proper positioning you can do most bush clusters in 2-3 hits
Now I know what these are for apart from extra ninja vibe.
True, they defenitely bring a very Naruto like aspect to the table aswell :D
It never occurred to me that the targeting reticle could be used for anything other than wirebugs. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
I feel ya. I've looked for my fork before while having the damn thing in my hand and using it 🤣 I'ts the things right infront of us we tend to miss
You can throw lots of stuff by targetting with zl, like trap bugs, toads, tranq bombs, beetles, bombs, ...
@@jyasensky toads? you lie I’ve tried this I swear 0_o
@@TheSwooj yeah, my bad, not toads
@@jyasensky I haven't played since vanilla MHGen, and I just thought you couldn't throw tranq bombs forward anymore. I feel so dumb not realizing that I could aim first.
2008: Cutting monster's tail with boomerang
2021: Cutting monster's tail with kunai
Took me 8 Minutes to cut Zinogre's tail with Kunais, but DAMN was it satisfying! 🤣🙌
Dude thats crazy! i'm still at like 12-13 min for Anjanath xD
Wonder if it's different for village quests vs hub quests which have higher more sturdy monsters than the village quests...
These are some awesome tricks, should've guess the tail cut bcuz of boomerang in previous game. But the lizard mechanic totally surprised me
Thanks for the Feedback Kevin! Glad you found the content informative ^_^
No status kunai, only exploding kunai.
@@chadgrimwell8380 true. My mistake. I remember making status kunai. Was it another monster hunter game? Wow. My bad
@@jamestdfm I was mistaken. It was status knife, guess I thought th ey brought that back. I was mistaken. Sorry.
@@kingtyger8702 Wait so are there status knives or not, I've only seen the elemental bombs and bomb knives
200 hours in and i Never used the kunais 🙈😆 its time to change that 😋
Have fun messing around with them !😁 plenty of small fun things to find😊
I am super new to Monster Hunter, and this has changed my life.
Happy you found it informative! ^_^
Very helpful. I knew about the rock lizards from a previous video but not about the other stuff I’ll be trying to use kunai more now
Glad there was some helpful information in here for you aswell. Thanks for the feedback!
You can actually use Kunai to blow up Narwa's belly sac for 1000 damage. I'm not sure what the exact requirements are, you might have to have the part broken, or have a certain amount of damage on it.
I also wonder if it's good for knocking down monsters that cling to walls and ceilings.
Yes on both 😄
- Narwa's Belly blows up after the damage on it reaches a certain threshold
- You can knock Khezu & Tobikadachi of walls/ceilings for example 👍
Monster Hunter series is my fav! cant get enough of Generations!
Niiiice! Generations is great!
Just hit the monster with the kunai from a distant which will triggered the roar and than rush toward the monster to deal some free damage for a short time.
yeah it's realy good for getting some free damage like that 👍
I didn’t realize the difference between the lizards. But you don’t have to hit him with a Kuna to get three drops you can hit them with your weapon as well.
Yup, most hits will work from weapons aswell👍
Harder to actually land those hits for some weapons. Kunai just makes it a lot easier. And efficient.
I like slinging the kunai at the monsters, but I don't aim as well as I want
I also use Kunai to trigger the monsters roar before I get into melee range in the case I don’t have earplugs .
So true! this is super usefull if you dont have something to counter roars, or means to dodge through them 😊
Dude. I've been playing this game since release and never knew how important the kunai is. I've honestly only used it to set off barrel bombs but now I will use it to its full potential. Thank you for this video. This is a game changer! 👌🏾
Happy it was helpfull!👍🏽
It's super easy to miss all the things the Kunai can be used for.
Thank you. I've been ignoring kunai since i don't know where to use it. Perfect video to explain it. Will use it from now on.
Glad you found it informative! Thanks for the feedback !😊
"Damn bugs" I feel this spirituality
😂🙌
kunai also give a little upwards boost if you use them in midair, which can be useful for wirebugging across big gaps. i didnt know about the lizard thing though, good video
Thats awesome jape! I havent experimented with that much! thanks for sharing the info with us 😊👍
Quick side mention: don't blow up barrel bombs on a sleeping monster with Kunai, it's a waste of boosted damage. Use your strongest attack to detonate them. Otherwise neat info my dude!
Precisely! Thanks for pointing it out to some of the newer players here Sharsis! I Apriciate your Feedback ! ^_^
The Kunai detonating is for weapons that dont allow you to get a wake up hit, and counter, or dodge through the explosion. Or when getting blasted away by the Bombs results in you actually loosing out on damage, due to the weapons strongest possible wake up hit not making up for the dps lost out on while the Monster is getting up.
I'll be honest, I didn't even know we had unlimited kunai.....
That fact blew my mind when i first realized it xD
