I came back to Blair's channel recently, and I was blown away that Teddy is still alive, frankly. I watched her nearly a decade ago and Teddy was there then and he wasn't a puppy. Should be so proud that he's had such a good, long life.
Honestly, I always enjoyed it when the backdrops were your beautifully decorated bedrooms. It feels more real and personal than a solid colour background ^_^ love you!
I always loved the way you and Elle set up your backdrops! Books, candles, pillows, etc. it feels homey and I feel like it gives us a sneak peak into your home/style!
My heart breaks for Teddy, I've been watching your videos for a decade now and I always remember Teddy laying on your bed in your videos. He is just so sweet and I hate to think of any animal or human suffering. Praying for him. xx
In my opinion, dulcecandy has an awesome background setup. When she uploads it genuinely feels like I’m sitting there at her house just chatting with her. The vibe is very cozy and welcoming.

I think people who just film in their home with their furniture behind them is my favorite. Just their bookshelf with a chair behind them or their living room etc. I feel like the set up versions is very old school youtube. New school is just filming in a clean tidy room and looks more natural.
Could you do a final walk through of this apartment so we can see how everything came together in the end?

Honestly any kind of a natural setting is so much better than the background you have right now. It doesn't have to be especially pretty, just a normal room.

You and teddy are in my thoughts and prayers. I’ve been watching you for YEARS and we’re the same age, and live entirely different lives. But your videos literally take me back to high school days when life was a lot simpler, and just knowing that we’re growing “together”’kinda (ie moving out etc)

So sorry to hear about teddy. It’s always sad losing a dog because they truly are your best friend. Hopefully you can keep him happy and pain free for a while still! Congratulations on the new home, it looks GORGEOUS (as do you😊).

I like set ups that have like furniture behind it like I think Elle's backdrop had her bookcase with perfumes and pictures and stuff in some videos. It looked personal and cozy.

I lost my dog last year. It’s so hard to watch a dog age so fast. I will be thinking of you and teddy.
I do like how zoella does her backdrops to her videos. She tends to use her guest bedroom and changes the backgrounds to match the seasons. Since you like decorating that might be something cool to do!

I know exactly what you’re feeling with Teddy. I just lost my Yorkie to the same thing and it made my cry to hear you talk about it. Mine helped me through four moves in four years to 4 different states with my now fiancé. They may not be the most outgoing dogs, but they sure are loyal companions!
My heart hurts for you with the teddy news. Cherish all the time you have with him 💙. Last month I unexpectedly had to have my cat put down after taking him In, his breathing was weird and was first told is could be allergies asthma or his thyroid. After the xray came back it was horrible news. Cancer and lots of fluid in him and his lungs. i had no idea and I never thought that morning I wouldn't be bringing him home. It's so sad when animals get sick, I wish they would never have to go through things like that. It really sucks losing them. So you and teddy are in my thoughts. 💜💙 and sending virtual hugs!

I understand what you mean about enjoying being able to just let the dogs out. Many people live in actual homes not apartment/loft type homes and don’t understand the ‘inconvenience’.

Im so sorry to hear about Teddy. My little Bitsy has been with me for 15 years and imagining a life where I don't have that constant is a sad, empty, feeling. There's nothing like the bond of a girl and her dog that she gets in her college years. Childhood dogs are hard to lose of course, but there's something about that first dog that is your companion and sole responsibility day in and day out that is just so devastating to lose. Teddy is very lucky to have such a compassionate owner. The only thing bad about dogs is that they have to leave before we do. I hope Teddy's quality of life is the best that it can be and I know that you'll do everything to make sure of that. ❤️❤️❤️ I'm so so so sorry.
Also I really love a more home-y looking background with maybe some candles in the back and a little table or dresser etc
I'm so sorry about Teddy's diagnosis. Two years ago my dog was diagnosed with kidney failure and we thought she had a few months to live. We eventually were able to find something that worked and shes still alive today and kicking at 16 years old! I'm sure you'll be able to find something that will work for Teddy and if you want to talk to someone who went through something similar, I'm here :)

Honestly Ive missed you so much you were the first youtuber I ever watched and actually enjoyed watching you're what got me into beauty videos. I haven't watched you in a while though honestly. Which sucks bc I know people change so much but this video reminds me so much of the old videos you used to post and I loved it so much ❤

I've been watching you since before you got your little teddy bear. i remember your introduction of teddy to us. my deepest prayers and positive vibes for teddy getting better from one pet momma to another. I think this move is going to be good for teddy. have you taken him to the house so he can get his scent everywhere? It'll make the move less stressful. I believe mochi is being a good little brother possibly trying to make him comfortable, my kitties know when the other is sick. my kitty has bad kidneys too and a little water fountain is his best friend it makes him drink so much but it worked really well for him, he loves the running water and they have carbon filters for the clean water. I know kitties and doggies are different but my vet had us change him to no hard food and he eats raw now it's been making him gain weight and gives him more energy.
I also do miss your decor in the background maybe a guest room/filming room cozy vibes to suit your personality.

Honestly anywhere in your new house that has a clean background is great to me! In your beauty room or in your living room, as long as it's not like cluttered or too many crazy colors in the background I think it's fine!

We love our fur babies with all our hearts and no matter how difficult or challenging, we are strong enough to do whatever is best for them. We also know they sense our emotions, so I say to celebrate all you can. Find joy in the teeniest things, and make every moment count so Teddy can fit in just as much happiness as possible. Kinda sounds like how we should live everyday of our lives anyway... but easier said than done, I know. Sending lots of positive thoughts to you and Teddy. I am so sorry you and Teddy are facing this. However, he has been there for you and it’s wonderful you are his mama and are there for him during this time. Your new home will be a perfect situation for this part of your story together - you are right, not only will your quality of life improve, but his will be easier as well. I went through this with my pitbull . Same thing always asleep , lots of water and peeing, and losing weight. She was 16 we ending up having to put her down and it was hard HARD at first , but it was for the best she’s in a better place.
We ended up rescuing a dog and that really helped me a lot. A new dog won’t replace them ever , but it helps you feel better and helps as dog in need.
Cozy corner. I think you had a setup like this once in your office with the gold and glass bookshelf. Simple, soft and gives you a feeling of just chatting with a friend.
I cannot wait to see how you decorate this place. It looks so darn cute already!

I'm so heartbroken to hear about Teddy, Blair. I lost my baby boy to kidney failure last April, and feel like a huge piece of me went with him. He was my best friend and soul mate for 14 years. I can see how much you love your pups, too. Sending you all the love and good vibes for Teddy.
MsHassium My dog also passed away last April from kidney failure 😥 he was definitely my soulmate and best friend!! It’s so hard losing a furbaby, especially if they end up being your heart dog! I feel so bad for Blair 💔

Your new home is gorgeous! Only suggestion would be to have the edge/wall of your stairs framed with molding because it looks a little bit unfinished the way it is now. Could be the same color as your steps or the same as your wall baseboard. So happy for you!

Don't feel bad for feeling happy when Teddy is sick. I'm so sorry about your fur baby and I totally understand how you're feeling, but try not to let it get you down too much. As you said, dogs can sense emotions and feelings and Teddy wants you to be happy!
Personally like like sit-down videos when they're filmed in font of a room vs. a backdrop, but that's just my opinion.

Hi Blair! l completely understand what you’re going thru... our first beagle baby was diagnosed with Lymphoma out of no where a few years ago... there was a 10 year age difference with our girls and it was like our puppy just knew her sister didn’t feel well, she was very protective when we came back from chemo and just wanted to be near her. Sending you lots of love 💕

Hey! I'm so sorry to hear about Teddy. My boy, Beau, had kidney issues too. He passed before his second birthday in September. Something I wish I had known before he passed: when their kidneys are 3/4 compromised, it is only a matter of days before having to say goodbye. I did not know that blood work would tell me the state of his kidneys, otherwise I would have done this every 4-5 months to track the progression. Might have made letting him go a little less terrible, you know? If he is only stage 2-3, absolutely feed him the low protein diet if you can and always keep that water handy! Also, filtered water is best so their kidneys don't have to work as hard to filter toxins. I've heard great things about a holistic line by The Adored Beast as well. Apologies for the long post, I just know how awful it is to have a sick fur child. I miss my guy everyday. I hope Teddy lives many years to come ❤️
It might be cute to do a little seating area behind you like a small designer style couch or do like a coffee shop feel where it's a more cozy seating area

I am so sorry to her about your baby. I had a miniature sheltie for 12yrs who had seizures on and off for about a year and a half. The vet believed he had a brain tumor. It is extremely difficult to go through the phases of your dog being terminally ill. It’s now been 4 years since I had to say “I’ll see you later” and I think about him every day. I am truly sorry to hear about Teddy’s kidney failure. Soak up all the love and cuddles. Take videos. And as I’m sure you already are... remind him every day how much you love him. My thoughts are with both of y’all. 🖤
I would love to see a very homey background. Like a mantelpiece, some plants and a chair or something. Just a cosy atmosphere.
They can sense when one is not feeling better. Up until December 12th, 2017, I had two German Shepherds, the oldest, Grizzley (12yrs) was put to sleep that day. He had been sick for a few days and we finally took him into the vets and there was nothing they could do. I have another German Shepherd that's 6 years would constantly play with Grizzley but over time slowed down with playing with him, picking on him (playful) etc. The day we took Grizzley, she was looking out of my bedroom window, howling.

My dog has been in kidney failure for 2 years and Royal Canin Renal Support food from the vet has helped so much - maybe that would be a good food to try.... my dog has greyed out as well, I know how heartbreaking it is. Sending you love and positive thoughts!

My kitty Franky was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and he went from normal to not very quick and unfortunately when kitties get diagnosed they are expected to live no more than 18 months but my baby lived about 10 months. It was truly the hardest thing. He ended up passing away at my home which was hard but I was glad for him because he passed away in a spot he always laid he didn’t go hide or anything and he hated the vet and I didn’t want that to be his final moments. I totally understand you saying Teddy is your best friend. And towards the end my Franky was so thin it was hard I prayed the night before he passed and said send me a sign because if I need to I’d take him in but I don’t want to rush it and well I feel my prayers were answered. Miss him so much.
