I think they added that part where Chrissie knows where his going better than Rebecca to show she was more suited for Robert.Chrissie was perfect for Robert on paper but love and karma had other plans.
Spoilers: They were trying to kidnap the baby then panicked when someone else kidnapped him. I get it but, it annoys me. Wish Chrissie lived instead of Rebecca.
